VELA Luxury Apartment

New refurbished apartment from November 2024. Spacious and bright 110m2, very cozy and full of art works throughout.
Large living room/dining room area with a bay window. 2 double bedrooms leading to balcony and 2 bathrooms. Fully equipped kitchen, work area and safe box.
The 2nd bedroom can be set up with either two twin beds or 1 queen size bed depending on the guests needs. Please let us know before your arrival.

Located in the prime area, only a steps away from the vibrant and charm Paseo de Gracia with its boutiques and restaurants, essential visits to the modernist buildings like Casa Batlló and Pedrera. The apartment is very close to the Concepción fresh food market (just 2 blocks away).
Easy access to public transport, ideal for families, groups or professionals.
Fully equipped kitchen.
Additional cleaning is possible, please enquire about the rates.

Have small children? Don't worry, we are happy to provide you with a high chair, baby cot, lamp and mixer for baby food for your little one during your stay. (there is a 90€ + VAT fee for the baby kit).

THE CITY OF BARCELONA IMPOSES A CITY TAX SIMILAR TO THOSE CHARGED BY HOTELS. THE RATE IS 2,48€ PER PERSON (OVER THE AGE OF 16) PER NIGHT FOR A MAXIMUM OF 7 NIGHTS. THIS WILL BE CHARGED AT CHECK IN.

There is a 30€ extra charge for late check ins (after 8pm).

Great location in Eixample area

Great property with easy access to shopping on Passeo de Gracia, local restaurants in Eixample and Gracia neighborhoods, walking distance to La Sagrada Familia, and easy access to the metro and regional train lines.Heike, is very responsive to any queries and was a wonderful host.

Amazing apartment and location

Great property for our family. The apartment was larger than we thought and very comfortable. The rooms were soundproofed so it was very quiet despite the busy street. The location was perfect and close to multiple metro stations. The host was also very quick to respond with any to any questions we had prior or during our stay. There are some stairs up to the elevator and the elevator is very small. Since it was on the second floor we would just take the stairs mainly. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. The area also felt very safe.

An Adorable apartment in Barcelona

My niece and her husband stayed with us at this lovely apartment near everything! We loved the balcony that strutted out over the busy street. Wr had our morning coffee here and our evening glass of wine. Heike was very good at communicating with us about all the necessities. Though after we checked in we did not have an issues! I highly Recommend staying here!

Barcelona for the 1st time.

The apartment was nice, spacious, well appointed, and had a charming ambience. The architecture of the apartment and the surrounding area was wonderful and relaxing. The apartment is basically on the second floor by American standards. We had issues with the elevator In the building not working for the first 2.5 days we were there, the TV service never worked during our stay there and the apartment was in need of some minor repairs. Had these problems not occurred, I would have given the establishment 5 stars.

Great location - charming apartment

We stayed for a month and really enjoyed the apartment. You cannot beat the location - 700ft from Passieg de Gracia train station and easy subway links. The apartment is not as luxurious as the photos suggest - no robes, slippers or fluffy towels! Could do with a lick of paint and some overall maintenance and small repairs. But none of this hindered our stay. We loved the amount of space and the indoor patio. Beds were super comfortable and kitchen had all we needed. A bluetooth speaker was provided on request.

Perfect place to stay!!

**Review of VRBO** I recently stayed at an amazing VRBO property that exceeded all my expectations. The location was perfect, providing easy access to nearby attractions and amenities. Our host was exceptional—she communicated effectively and was incredibly helpful throughout our stay, making us feel right at home. One of my favorite features was the enclosed balcony, which was perfect for enjoying morning coffee and unwinding during the evenings. The kitchen was well-equipped, making it easy for us to prepare breakfast and enjoy meals together. Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better host or a more delightful place to stay. I highly recommend this VRBO to anyone looking for a wonderful getaway!

GP weekend stay

The property was in a great location and the host was really helpful including making restaurant recommendations. The apartment is lovely but not as ‘luxury’ as suggested in the narrative or on the photos. It’s a little dated and could do with a spruce up which would make a massive difference. As in an earlier review some doors don’t close properly, crockery and glasses don’t match, towels and laundry are poor quality. We did enjoy our stay though and the style of the apartment is lovely.

Fabulous apartment & use for seeing Barcelona

We made day trips every day and the location allowed for many of them to be walking. Neighborhood has everything you need from groceries, restaurants to bakeries.

Excellent location but you need to be flexible to live in there

They do not provide shower gel/shampoo but those were not on their essential list and I didn't aware of that. The kitchen napkin was almost finished and there were no extra roll in the cabinet. They don't have blanket on the bed but just the flat sheet. I found the blankets in the cabinet but both have blood stains on it. There are like 8-10 steps at the entrance to the elevator so you will need to carry your luggages up. Other than that, the location is excellent and convenient. A/C and wifi were good. The host was very helpful and friendly.

Underwhelming three-star

Solid 3-star rental. The "Vela" suite (one of many in bldg by same owner)--is NOT "luxury". PROS: - Good location near main attractions, high-end shopping, good restaurants/bakeries - soundproofed street noise - Clean CONS - Spacious for old bldg but in dire need of overhaul. Per other reviews, it's not like photos/desc. Furniture is ragged, amenities are mismatched & chipped flea-market quality. - Much is broken. Closets/doors don't close, things fall off wall, plaster flakes off ceiling, paint is chipped, torn curtains don't close, pillows/mattresses are worn & lumpy, bed linens are old & shabby. First-world problems yes--but they're charging top dollar for a "luxury" listing. - Only ONE SHOWER, despite advertising two. 2nd bathroom only has a tub with handheld wand. - Frugal owners provided as few essentials as possible, of lowest quality. As other reviews say, you're rationed 2 measly pods for dishwasher and washing machine, scant rolls of TP, all is meagre, cheap, watered-down. Def not the Bulgari pictured! When things run out (quickly), you must buy your own. Some rentals do operate this way, but not pricey "luxury" ones. There's an air of stinginess/disregard--almost contempt for renter. - Physical essentials are lacking. Nowhere to put shampoo/cond besides floor, nowhere to hang towels to dry (unless it's cold enough for the towel heater to kick in -- but it was too warm a season for us). Rickety standalone closets have weird rods to hang clothes. They pull

Fabulous location!

Great decor and fabulous location! What we loved most was the glassed-in lounge/sunroom for morning coffee and an afternoon glass of wine. The flat is only one block from Casa Batlló, loads of shopping, and so many great restaurants! Will definitely stay here again!

Girls trip

Apartment was in an amazing location close to restaurants, shopping and the supermarket. Communication with the property manager was easy. She also supplied us with restaurant recommendations. The second bathroom is more of a bathtub. The shower is a little bit awkward, but not a reason to not rent this apartment. The apartment was super clean and we truly enjoyed our stay in Barcelona!
