Extended family getaway

This fabulous accomodation was perfect for our extended family holiday. With families coming from Australia and Sweden, this spectacular property was ideal for our intergeneration group to relax, connect and have fun. The host went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and was very friendly and welcoming. The property is very well maintained, communication with the owner is excellent and being able to have different living spaces with an exceptional common dining and pool area was perfect. Nearby villages and beaches are very easy to reach with car making self catering a breeze and providing lots of entertainment options for everyone. Flying into Heraklion and driving to the property was easy and day trips around Crete satisfied the adventurers among us although you could stay the whole week at the property never get tired of the view. The host arranged a catered dinner for us on our last night and it was amazing. We highly recommend this accomodation. The cousins (3-16yo) had a great time, so did the adult siblings and their spouses. Even the grandparents loved it!

Stunning location and Pool

We absolutely loved staying at Agnati Villas - the pool was gorgeous - a great temperature with a beautiful view. The location near the town is great (make sure to have a car!) and still close enough to Heraklion. There were plenty of beds and the layout of the houses/villas was great for a large group. We were welcomed with fruit which was lovely. While the kitchen is well equipped with plates, utensils, crockery, etc note that there are no soaps, shampoos, laundry detergent or any of that sort of thing. No pool towels etc and only very light sheets for the beds. Also, there are very strict rules about the pool (when you can use it and how) as well as the BBQ (such as you have to ask permission to use it first etc). Overall though we had an absolutely amazing time and loved the scenery!!

Paradise

The villa and its surroundings are breathtaking. Beautiful, peaceful and quiet just what I value. The Villa has everything what you need. For physically healthy people it is a paradise on earth but for those who may not be able to move easily it is worth considering that the terrain is hilly and the car/taxi is absolute. In conclusion, you will not be disappointed, but will experience the most wonderful moments in the most amazing Villa. The property is gorgeous and the service was impeccable just like in the old days when the customer was really a king. I would highly recommend it to families and groups traveling to Crete. Two thumbs up! Small warning! You will not just fall in love with the Villa, but also with Triantafillos. :) Mikael Helin

We were there with a big family of 21 people (age 11-88 most of them adults). We loved the well maintained pool and garden and houses. The owner was fantastic, super kind and helpful and quick to respond with everything we needed and with a translator app and the owner's sister we were able to overcome the language differences. There is a beautiful terrasse with a large table that we had our meals together at. It was end of October and we were super lucky with the weather to be able to have all meals outside. we also spend time at the pool and even swam in the pool and spent time at the multiple little outdoor spaces around the house and garden. With 21 people, mainly adults, we got to the limits of the different bedrooms, because some of them were a little better than others to accommodate the different family members. For the majority of the group it worked, but 2 more bedrooms or 2-3 people less would have made it more comfortable. We have done this family vacation now for several years and can honestly say, that this was the house that was the best in terms of the location with the stunning views, the welcoming host, the well maintained garden and pool and that this is definitely one of the top places we have stayed at as a large family group. Al 17 jaar maken wij jaarlijks in het laatste weekend van september van donderdag tot en met zondag een trip met onze collega’s door Europa. Dit is 1 van de mooiste huizen die wij hebben gehuurd. De gastheer is erg nauwkeurig en dat vindt je terug in hoe alles tot de puntjes is verzorgd. Wij kunnen dan ook iedereen deze locatie aanbevelen die ervan houdt dat alles gewoon goed werkt en van goede kwaliteit is. Iedereen had een eigen kamer, er is een groot zwembad en het uitzicht is fantastisch. Eigenlijk doen de foto’s op VRBO geen recht aan hoe mooi de huizen daadwerkelijk zijn! Het is dat wij nooit nog een keer naar dezelfde locatie terugkomen omdat het vaak leuker is om een nieuwe bestemming te ontdekken. Maar dit huis zet mij toch aan het denken….

Wir hatten eine fantastische Zeit in dieser Unterkunft! Der Pool war ein echtes Highlight – sauber, angenehm temperiert und mit einem traumhaften Blick auf die umliegende Landschaft. Jeden Morgen mit dieser Aussicht aufzuwachen war einfach unbezahlbar.Die Unterkunft selbst war sehr gepflegt, geschmackvoll eingerichtet und hatte alles, was man für einen entspannten Urlaub braucht. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir den Gastgeber, der unglaublich freundlich und hilfsbereit war. Er hat uns herzlich empfangen, mit tollen Tipps versorgt und stand bei Fragen jederzeit zur Verfügung – man fühlte sich sofort willkommen.

Unvergessliche Reise

Wir haben für 10 Tage unsere Maturareise dort verbracht und es war unvergesslich. Das Haus ist schön und sauber. Außerdem ist der Garten sowie Pool sehr gut gepflegt. Zu unserer Überraschung allerdings nicht zu unserem Nachteil wohnte der Besitzer ebenfalls am Anwesend. Allerdings war er sehr diskret und nett. Zudem veranstaltete er einen gemeinsamen Grillabend mit anschließender Karaoke.

Villas propres avec vues magnifiques : Séjour très agréable

Les villas étaient vraiment propres. la piscine qui a une bonne taille est nettoyée tous les jours. attention accès de 8h du matin à 20h30 pour permettre le nettoyage. Les hôtes étaient vraiment disponibles. Ils habitent sur les lieux mais sont très discrets. L'avantage est qu'on peut leur demander des choses et ils répondaient assez rapidement. Trois villas ont des vus mer splendides pour le levé du soleil avec une vue des chambres. La plage la plus proche est à 20 minutes pour l'allée mais un peu plus pour le retour car il faut remonter sur 1km environ mais c'est faisable. Le top de notre séjour est la soirée passée avec nos hôtes qui nous ont offert le diner avec une bonne salade grecque, du barbecue et de trop bonnes frites. Ils nous ont initiés à des danses Grecques - et nous avons fait du karaoké. Très belles échanges et générosité Merci beaucoup pour le séjour et votre gentillesse. Eliane

9 Tage Kretaurlaub nach bestandenem Examen / nine days vacation

Wir haben als 18 Studenten eine Villa zum Feiern unseres Examens gesucht, wobei dieses erst Mitte September war und wir somit erst für Ende September eine Villa für alle zusammen mit gutem Wetter suchten. Zuerst zum Ort, zur Lage und zum Wetter: Agia Pelagia ist etwas abgelegener, etwa 30 Autominuten bis zum Zentrum von Heraklion. Die kleine Stadt hat eigentlich wenig zu bieten, bis auf den wunderschönen Strand mit Promenade, viele (teilweise aber echt fad schmeckende) Restaurants, ein paar Einkaufsläden (ein Herr Vassilis ist der König der Mini-Discounter hier) und einen unglaublich guten Gyros Laden, bei dem es die Pita für 3,80 zum Spottpreis gibt. Das Wetter konnte sich trotz der späten Kalenderzeit mit 30 Grad durchweg und knallender Sonne echt Sehen lassen. in Agia Pelagia gibt es viele richtig coole secret beaches die für Jugendliche und junge Erwachsene machbar erreichbar sind. Die Villa ist ziemlich weit hoch am Berg, direkt in der Nähe des Highways (vorab: kein Lärmproblem!) - oben ist auch eine BW Tanke am Highway, die auch eine kleine Bäckerei innehat. Am Highway, ca 300m von der BW Tankstelle entfernt, ist eine Bushaltestation, mit der man jede Stunde (immer um xx:45, also 15:45, 16:45,…. - aber so genau pünktlich ist der Bus nie!) für 2,50€ im klimatisierten Reisebus direkt nach Heraklion gefahren wird (sehr nützlich!) Ansonsten hat uns ein Taxi für 18 Personen (also ein Van) immer 100€ gekostet. - Von der Villa bis ins Städchen unten ist es schon ein Stück; die Höhenmeter sind vor allem auf dem Hinaufweg nicht zu unterschätzen: ca 10min runter, ca 20 min hoch (haben auch mit viel Anstrengung in 14min hoch geschafft) Zur Villa: Die Villa ist in 2 Häuser aufgeteilt mit verschiedenen Apartments; für 18 Leute, wobei 5 Paare dabei waren, mussten bei uns keine Kompromisse gemacht werden. Guckt euch vorher aber genauer die Verteilungen der Betten an. Draußen erwartet euch ein mit sehr viel Aufe fürs Detail hergerichteter Outdoorbereich, der vor allem durch tolle Arbeit mit Steinen und Fließen seinesgleichen sucht. (Der Besitzer hatte früher in diesem Bereich gearbeitet.) Wenn ich „seinesgleichen sucht“ sage, dann meine ich damit: Treppen sind an jeder Stelle perfekt ausgesucht und platziert, Es gibt 2 Feuerstellen, wobei eine Große unterhalb des Pools von uns 2 mal genutzt wurde, Es gibt einen großen langen Tisch mit Granitplatten unter Weinreben am Dionysos Square etc.. Fantastisk pärla för stora familjer eller sällskap

Detta passade oss perfekt - vi var totalt 22 personer (från 70 år till 3 år) som delade på alla fem lägenheter/ villor. Hyresvärden är enormt tillmötesgående (talar dock ingen engelska, med Google translate löser det mesta 😃) väldigt välskött tomt och pool! Vi hade ju alla husen och poolen för oss själva, och kunde därför dela på husgeråd och porslin - det var kanske den enda nackdelen att köken inte var särskilt välutrustade så det är svårt med självhushåll - men i övrigt så är fastighetsägaren mycket mån om att ta hand om sina gäster och mycket tillmötesgående! Fastigheten ligger högt upp så det är en utmanande men mycket härlig promenad till stranden (det blev taxi hem ibland för vissa i sällskapet med den mycket branta uppförsbacken hem) Hyrbil är ett måste för att hantera inköp av mat och övriga transporter. Vi är mycket nöjda med vår vistelse på Villa Agnanti och vår värd Triantafillos och Ireni

The first time I came here was as a visitor with my family for holidays. I had the chance to discover every inch of Agia Pelagia and to tottaly love the place. I decided with no hesitation that this place was perfect to build my cottage. I maneged to discover the suitable place for me after three years of searching. I bought it and I proceeded to the building. From the first time and every time I visit this place I feel free from every thought and problem, and really calm by staring the endless blue of the sea. Every discription is really poor compare to the live experience by visiting this place.

It is clean, quiet, with excellent view, private pool, paradise gardens, close to the sea. It gives easy and fast access to restaurants, bars, museums and places of interest.
