This private adobe ranch house, nestled near the foothills of the Tortolita Mountains, is surrounded by lush desert vegetation, offering an ideal retreat just 15 minutes east of the I-10/Marana junction. Known for its dark skies, the area is rated as a "green zone" by DarkSite Finder, making it excellent for stargazing. The property is perfect for embracing the outdoors, with plenty of shaded areas, a spacious porch, and a patio with a covered bar. A barbecue pit is available for fireside cooking, along with a separate propane Weber grill, and wireless internet is accessible throughout.

The house is super clean, ideal for anyone looking to experience life in the beautiful, semi-remote Sonoran Desert. There’s ample parking, including space for RVs and trailers, and the property provides direct access to extensive state trust and federal land, perfect for off-road exploration. Pets are welcome with advance notification, and two portable 20-foot pet fences are available upon request, allowing the patio and porch area to be enclosed.

Inside, you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen and dining area with room to accommodate guests. The newly renovated bathroom includes a large walk-in shower, plus a full-size washer and dryer. The master bedroom is well-furnished, featuring a queen bed, a flat-screen smart TV with Netflix, a dresser, and a queen-size Lazy Boy pull-out couch that sleeps two.

Access to the property is via paved roads with the last mile on a graded dirt road, leading to a secure, lockable gate. Situated on a 5-acre parcel, dense vegetation provides full privacy, and the entire property is fenced with cattle fencing, keeping roaming cattle out, as Arizona is an open range state.

Very beautiful

We loved staying at this vacation rental. Super clean out and away from traffic. Super quite and peaceful. Owner was super nice and helpful. I would recommend to anyone to stay at this property. We will most likely stay again in the future.

Really Great Place

The house is nicely decorated and has everything you will need. Large bedroom with comfortable bed. Visiting in July, so very hot, but AC worked great and the patio always has shady areas. Just wonderful to sit outside in the morning, evening or at night. Lots of birds and tranquiltiy. Great place overall.

Amazing stay at ranch

This is an amazing place to stay! Beautiful location, a little remote (and therefore nice and relaxing) but still easy to get to everywhere you might want to go in the area. Nancy and Bill were perfect hosts. All kinds of goodies awaited us upon arrival and both Nancy and Bill were full of tips on things to do in the area. The ranch has everything one might need. Loved my morning coffee on the porch watching the many birds. And the sunsets are amazing!

Secluded desert gem!

I couldn't imagine a better place to enjoy the Sonoran desert! So close but far enough from civilization to truly enjoy nature, the night sky and solitude with access to restaurants, stores and an abundance of activities if you can bring yourself to leave this amazing property! Nancy was an amazing host and clearly strives for every guest to feel the happiness she and her family feel while there. Im terrible at leaving reviews but this stay was above and beyond my expectations!

Desert Heaven

This property will live in us a for a while; it is that impactful. From the adventurous drive in (where we spotted wildlife regularly) to the heavenly morning routine we adopted, Nancy's and Bill's Casita surpassed our expectations. Everything was comfortable, the kitchen was well outfitted and we felt extremely welcomed. The patio included great firepit that we used one night, new Adirondack chairs, bird-feeding blocks, bird watering trays and plenty of seating and eating spaces. I just don't know what else to say about this property except there wasn't anything to complain about. Well, there was one thing, and when we brought it up to the owners it was corrected immediately. Now that's service!

Ranchito paradise

Where to begin…I can’t say enough about how wonderful our host Nancy was. Nancy was personable and inviting from the moment we first connected over text. She and her husband were willing to allow us to have our 5 dogs stay here as well which was an incredible accommodation. We were in a pinch because our RV is being repaired and we had nowhere else to stay. The ranchito is adorable inside and out with SW decor and everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay on 5 acres of beautiful desert. I especially loved relaxing on the patio in the shade of the trees listening to the birds. There are many birds that spend their time in the trees and on the cactus around the patio. If you are looking for solitude, nature and a stay in a charming adobe casita, this is where you want to book your stay. Nancy has been the best hostess I’ve ever had and I will be back next year. If I could give it more stars, I would.

Beautiful Property!

We had a great trip visiting Arizona this past weekend! Nancy was very hospitable and had lots of goodies waiting for us at the Ranchito upon arrival. She was very accommodating during the check-in process and waited for us to arrive after our late flight. The property is even more beautiful in person. It was our own little dessert oasis. I would highly recommend this Ranchito to everyone!!

Life Behind The Gate

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Martini Ranch. We have not felt the kind of peace we found there in a couple of years Closing the gate behind us after a day trip felt like coming home. The pantry was well stocked with coffee spices and condiments. The kitchen had just about anything you needed for preparing and cooking a meal, even baking. It was very well lit with night lights for safety in each room. The bathroom had plenty of linens and a few toiletries along with a very nice shower and shower gel. Nancy gave us a great introduction to the surrounding area and places that suited our interests. We loved the mornings and late afternoons for walking the property, photography, and the beautiful Sonoran Desert. We ate breakfast outdoors everyday and saw a great variety of birds, even a few new to our list. The ground squirrels had little ones that entertained us with their antics. All and all, an excellent get away.

Home Away From Home

Loved our stay at the Martini Ranch. We are avid bird watchers and found the best place to watch was just out the back door on the patio. Nancy thought of everything, what a wonderful hostess. So much to do within a 40 minute drive we were busy most days but chose to spend an abundance of time just relaxing and enjoying the Arizona weather from the back yard.

WOW! One of our best experiences

From the get go, it was really easy to communicate with Nancy who had prepped us for our arrival and was waiting for us when we arrived. She kindly explained everything about the property and the house and gave us some locals advice for places to eat etc.. She was easily accessible via text during our whole stay and you could just tell she loved sharing her place with others! Thank you Nancy! The property itself is stunning. It’s relatively secluded and is off the beaten path. It does take about 10 min to get to the major road but that’s also what made this place so nice. Really enjoyed waking up each morning to the singing birds and sunshine. Nancy and Bill thought of everything in the house. The kitchen is well stocked and there’s a nice basket full of basic hygiene products just in case someone forgot something. She told us all the door knobs were sanitized right before we arrived do it was refreshing she has our safety in mind. We definitely wouldn’t hesitate booking again!

Simply the best!

Where to begin? This property exceeded our expectations. From the moment we pulled up at sunset and met with Nancy, we knew we had made the right choice. The pictures you see don't even depict the true beauty of this property. We could feel the love and joy put into this property by Bill and Nancy. Nancy had some arrival treats as well as a special flashlight for our son. She walked us through the home and made us feel comfortable. All of the recommendations she gave us were perfect for our short stay. From the food, hikes and the Desert Museum, everything was such an amazing experience. And to top it off, the AZ sunset from this property was out of this world. Our son enjoyed walking the paths on the property looking at cacti and wildlife. The home was super clean and cozy for the three of us. We look forward to reconnecting with Bill and Nancy and staying at the property again.

Charming Getaway Casita

We absolutely loved visiting in this lovely home in the desert. Each morning the pink sunrise filled the windows and the birds and other wildlife outside gave the place real character. Sunsets were brilliant and iconic.. Debbie has literally thought of every amenity. From fresh cut firewood to a stocked bathroom laundry room. This is a real gem and we hope to come again.

Seriously great place with great host. More than a bit out of the way but that is what we were looking for. Killer back yard but the neighborhood dog barking can be a bit much.

Serene desert experience

Perfectly isolated and still close enough for a long weekend with our family. This was the cleanest home or hotel-type experience we've ever had and the little amenities were thoughtful and perfect for our family. Owners were a pleasure to interact with and clearly take a lot of pride in their home.

Wonderful Desert Getaway

The rental was just as described and Nancy, Bill, and Michael were wonderful hosts. The house was clean and had all the amenities you could need. They had included thoughtful touches like snacks and extra toiletries, which would be really helpful if you forgot something since it's a few miles to shopping. The property is located out in the desert, but not so far out to feel remote. The kitchen has all the cooking supplies you'll need and there's a small grocery store about 20 mins away, or a larger chain store about 30 mins away. The vegetation surrounding the house adds extra privacy and the area is very quiet and peaceful. We took our dogs and there were plenty of trails to walk on, just watch for cactus and wildlife. Definitely one of the best rental experiences we've had and we would love to go back again.

Dessert Paradise

This was definitely a diamond in the rough. We totally lucked out with this find and was and forever will be one of my favorites. Nancy and Bill were more than accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure we were welcomed and had everything we needed. I seriously couldn't have asked for anything more. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to experience a private dessert get away. Five stars...would definitely stay again.

Quiet, relaxing, beautiful view

We have stayed in many Vrbo homes and this was definitely one of our favorites. We were looking for a private relaxing place and this was it! Beautiful view, fun bird watching with an amazing patio to enjoy mornings and evenings. The home was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. Nancy, the owner provided us with great information of things to do in the area and places to eat. I would highly recommend this home!

Deserves 10 Stars

This place was so much more than I could have asked for- this was our first experience with the desert and what a sanctuary to spoil us for life. Nancy & Bill were so helpful with everything and had so many great recommendations, we are always looking for local spots and without their advice we wouldn’t have found half as many. The house was perfect, the patio even better and the property was a dream come true. My dogs loved the whole place although learned some prickly lessons along the way. This place has set the bar high for my future stays.

Cactus Ranch

We had a great stay at Nancy and Bill’s little ranch! The cabin was very cozy and the outdoor spaces provided enable you to enjoy the nice shade trees and cactus on the property. Communication was top notch, we felt very welcomed and were sad to leave!

Desert oasis

If you are looking to get away and enjoy being among the cacti, this property is perfect. It is off of a dirt road, very quiet, lots of cacti and birds on the 5 acres. Casita is very well stocked, hosts are wonderful. We did lots of hiking in mountains around Tucson and enjoyed the solitude of the property. Everything is a 30-45 minute drive but we’ll worth it to us. The patio has a great morning spot, evening spot with fire pit, table for eating outside. Just wonderful!

Middle of nowhere and everywhere

This is a needle in the haystack find. I value silence, solitude, sunsets, songbirds and stars when I travel and this adobe ranch house supplies this abundantly. Short trip up a dirt road and u feel like the only people in the world. Less than an hours drive away from multiple hiking options that are breathtakingly gorgeous. The owner was helpfully available but respectful of our privacy. This place is our new secret sunny get away. Happy to recommend.

Awesome everything! The hosts were attentive and thorough. The house was spotlessly clean

This was the most relaxing time we have ever spent on the road. The view was beyond belief the desert landscape around the house was unbelievable. It was so comfortable and natural one couldn’t help but I relax. The hosts were very helpful. We will go out of our way to stay here again. We have already shared our experience with friends and family who might find themselves in this area. The sunrises were beautiful and the night sky was as I remember it as a boy before all the light pollution. The host had really thought of everything.

Wonderful desert escape

The house was very nice, clean and cozy. It had everything we needed, and the owners were very helpful and responsive. We very much enjoyed the walled patio area. The sunrises and sunsets from the patio were beautiful. The trails around the house are great for short walks. The neighborhood is safe and quiet and great for walks along the dirt roads. It is about 40 miles north of Tucson but that was perfect for us as we wanted a quiet rural setting. We very much appreciated that it is pet friendly (but watch out for the cholla cactus)! Would love to go back.

Adorable Casita

My husband and I stayed here over New Years. Very clean and well heated with portable heaters. Spent a lot of time in the outdoor seating area that had a nice fire pit to watch beautiful sunsets. The casita sits on a large property with stunning saguaros. Bill and Nancy were quick to respond to any questions we had. Would definitely recommend.

I love the vegetated deserts and mountains in Arizona and New Mexico. I grew up in upstate New York and graduated from the University of Arizona. I own an environmental engineering firm. I have been a life long motorcycle addict and love adventure riding and racing, I also own a 55 Willys wagon. My wife is a nurse and we live in Oro Valley, Arizona. We have two adult boys We enjoy the outdoors and frequently visit Southern Colorado. We also like to kayak.

I bought the property to use as a family getaway. We use it for our family gatherings. The location provides a base for extended jeep and motorcycle rides. Many canyons and Indian ruins are located within a short distance. The property is also located within 30 minutes of my home.

Guests will be able to enjoy the desert southwest in a very comfortable setting. The property feels very western and remote and surrounded by desert and with mountain views. The night sky is wonderful. Guests can enjoy the property without having strict homeowner rules. The property is private and secure.
