Robert, and Lesley are friendly hosts, it is a quiet location, but only 2 miles from the main town facilities. Very clean, spacious, comfortable accommodation . It was nice to walk out in the fields with a river nearby, would recommend a stay here to anyone .
Lovely cottage with everything you need. Clean, cosy & beautifully decorated. The cottage is well located, only minutes from Kendal but in a lovely rural location with great views.

Very comfortable and beautifully decorated cottage. All 3 bedrooms a good size with storage. Bathroom upstairs with lovely toiletries, spacious shower room downstairs. Friendly & helpful owners nearby. Quiet farmland area near caravans. Underfloor heating downstairs, safe enclosed patio space at the back. Lounge & kitchen lighting very bright (a little harsh!) with underfloor heating & excellently furnished & equipped. Dvds kept the youngest family member happy. Thanks for a delightful & quite luxurious stay.
He have just returned from a long weekend in the Lake District and had Croft Cottage as our base.
The property itself is fantastic with lots of nice little touches.
In terms of the extra Covid19 measures the owners have taken every precaution for our safety. (One of our party is a nurse and said the measures are better than in a hospital!)
Robert & Lesley were lovely. Available if needed, but everything was so well detailed it was unnecessary.
Highly recommend & will be definitely be visiting again in the future :)

The property is just as it looks in the pictures, modern, clean and homely. Fully equipped including everything you need to cook meals, and a lively terrace at the rear for BBQing. Lesley is a great host, very friendly and welcoming. We were celebrating a 30th birthday and although we planned on doing some long walks round the lake district, the weather wasn't ideal so we ended up spending a lot of time at the property, which we were more than happy to do as it was so nice. Thankfully we did get chance to explore Kendal, a great little town with lots going on! Would recommend.

A lovely stay. Lesley and Robert were perfect hosts. The property is superb; extremely clean and warm and with everything you need. There are lovely walks across the countryside from the front door, and Ambleside/Windermere are only 20 minutes away by car. Lovely place, lovely people, lovely stay. I would certainly recommend this property.

About the host
Hosted by Robert or Lesley Hodgson
Hi we are the Hodgson family, myself Robert, my wife Lesley, daughter Stacey and son Danny. The farm has been in the family for over 65 years and the 4 of us work hard to keep our 150 acre traditional sheep farm working. In our spare time we enjoy the odd holiday, walking and sampling all the local eatery's.

All we offer is a bit of luxury in our newly converted cottage. We have beautiful views, peace and quiet with lots of site seeing, lovely scenery and pleasant walks on the door step. If you like an evening drive, why not take a drive along the country roads and find a country pub for supper. We live on site so any needs you have, we are always here.
What makes this property unique
On the fringe of the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks.
