My family purchased this cabin to be close to everything the Tetons offers...without the crowds of Jackson. We love hiking the area around the cabin and fishing in the streams. Skiing is a big plus...Grand Targhee has gotten 600' of powder during one ski year..and always gets at least 450'...A great family oriented Valley to visit.
Janine or Kendall/ owners of Oxbow Property Mgmt LLC purchased this cabin in 2005
Perfect location, Proximity to GTNP and Yellowstone without the crowds and bigger prices.
Peace, fresh air, mountain sunsets...Wildlife around the cabin.
Dear Janine, WE had a great time at the Moose Creek Cabin. The home is wonderfully decorated and we saw a bobcat, deer, and elk nearby. Thanks for your consideration in letting us stay the extra night with all of our car problems!
The cabin was perfect for our 10 day end of August family vacation for a party of 7 - parents, grandparents and 3 grown kids. The property is very comfortable, clean and well-maintained. There were plenty of bed linens and towels, and the kitchen had everything you need to feed a crowd. The views are spectaular - we really enjoyed our breakfast on the deck every morning. The location is great, with easy access to Grand Teton and Yellowstone. The noise from the road didn't bother us, and was a small price to pay for the fantastic location and views. The fishing creek near the house was a definite plus - a couple of hours spent there in the morning netted us a terrific grilled trout dinner at night. The momentary scare thinking we locked ourselves out of the cabin was dealt within minutes after we contacted one of the housekeepers. We really enjoyed our stay, and would highly recommend the property.
Very nice place, great condition, great view, better for 6 adults rather than 10, doing laundry berfore leaving was a drawback.
The cabin was great! Very clean and cozy! However it is right next the the busy highway so the noise level was not relaxing, especially when sitting on the deck. The owners were responsive to questions/ concerns. Overall a good stay if you don't mind the traffic.
We chose this house with no idea what the Jackson area was like, and we chose (in our opinion) WELL. Jackson impressed my family as much like Aspen - BUSY, crowded, and full of tourists. The Moose Creek location was NOT those things- which is what we wanted. The drive to Jackson was short, although through a winding mountain pass - something to keep in mind. Victor turned out to be a fantastic surprise - although small, it boasted good food, good service, and great people. You won't find valet parking - but you will enjoy the experience. Give Victor a try before heading "over the hill" - although small in size, it has a lot to offer.
The patio looked eat towards the Tetons and we could easily have spent the day walking back into the range right out of the door. Several trails start in the immediate vicinity of the cabin. Every night we watched the moon rise over the hills just for us, and enjoyed the countryside. Access to Teton NP was easy - and we enjoyed the Park immensely.
The house was a great base of operations for my family. My daughter - an avid bird watcher - was pleasantly surprised by the nests in the trees adjacent to the deck and the hummingbirds who frequented the flowers. The kitchen was MORE than adequate to support the four adults staying in the house, and the laundry was very handy following days trekking.
Janine was a great hostess - questions were quickly answered and everything was were we expected it to be. We enjoyed the cabin and were bragging on it to our friends and family (some of whom had just stayed in Jackson, and regretted it when we discussed the cabin.) We will surely consider this place if we know of anyone coming to this location.
Great location on highway heading to Jackson Hole Lots of hiking trails and fishing close by. Cabin was really lovely. It fit our needs perfectly
The property was perfect location for the second part of my families Yellowstone and Grand Teton vacation. We stayed for three nights and enjoyed the cabin very much as it was clean, had everything we needed, was decorated great, and was at he right price point as opposed to the over priced Ski condos in Jackson....and it had a great deck with beautiful views. We enjoyed the Idaho side very much hiking around the ski resort near Driggs, enjoying a dinner and huckleberry shakes in Victor, hiking in the Forrest next to the property, and even getting some fishing in on the Teton creek. It was a fun drive over the Teton pass to Jackson where we enjoyed a fantastic horseback trail near Hobach. If we would have had one more day we would taken in the Spud Drive-in Theatre. The only downside of the cabin is the road noise but I would not hesitate staying there again as it was very comfortable.
Incredible skiing--cross country out the door to a great path, skiing Glory Bowl and other free skiing, or ski JHMR, Snow King, OR Grand Targhee, OR even small, family friendly Kelly Canyon! All these are within 40 min-1.5 hours away. You have GOT to go to Pierre's Playhouse--a tiny movie theater which was previously a melodrama theater.... with great sound and great ambiance. check it out! Go to the Victor Emporium for a huckleberry shake, pictures of all the famous people who have visited our area, and super fishing advice. The Teton Valley Historical Museum is incredible. You could spend a whole day there.....Canyons to hike in--solitude or the friendly vibe of other hikers--you choose, depending on where you go. Fishing....fresh air and dark, dark night skies with stars galore.
