Guestbook comments from the manager

Dear Janine, WE had a great time at the Moose Creek Cabin. The home is wonderfully decorated and we saw a bobcat, deer, and elk nearby. Thanks for your consideration in letting us stay the extra night with all of our car problems!

Well-appointed interior with beautiful, uninterrupted views in a great location

  • 5 of 5

I breathed a sigh of relief with my first impression of the interior at Moose Creek Cabin. Along with modern appliances in kitchen, laundry, bath, there were antique rugs, artwork, and interesting accessories, none of which felt overdone, cliche, or cluttered. It was classy; and I was so glad, because we were a large group who would be staying a long time! It was important to me, while on this special occasion (we spent Christmas here) and activity-packed vacation, that our accommodations be comfortable and charming; well, Moose Creek did not disappoint.

Aside from feeling welcomed by the stylish interior, the setting was the next best thing, if not *the* best thing. The views from the cabin were gorgeous and uninterrupted by suburban sprawl or neighbors' cars, homes, garages, or utilities -- just nature! Honestly, it was a "pinch myself" experience. You can even hear the creek. It was peaceful and perfect and I miss it already...

While Moose Creek is private and secluded, it is not isolated; it is actually very accessible, which is an outstanding feature of this particular property.

Many of you reading this review may not have a clear 'lay of the land,' as we didn't either, but after a day or two, you will appreciate this cabin's unique location. Traveling into Jackson Hole is a grand entrance & traveling *from* Jackson Hole feels like coming home. There's a trail head, sledding/skiing areas, and entrance to national forest in immediate vicinity; and Victor and Driggs, just up the road(3mi,i think), are posh little destinations in their own right, not to be discounted.

We cooked, mailed letters, received Amazon shipment, and consulted the delightful & professional host/prop.mgr. with ease and efficiency. Moose Creek Cabin was everything we had hoped for. I will forever cherish the memories of this "home away from home" in "Wydaho."

Happy Trails!

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for your review! It is the perfect cabin for me to manage as well. I appreciate you pointing out how lovingly the owner has cared for it. It is the perfect blend of rustic and modern, and does have incredible, amazing, and unduplicated views. You were wonderful guests, and I really enjoyed getting to speak with you and your mother over the phone. Someday, I’d love to travel to your great state and experience the beauties of Mississippi. We’re glad you had a good experience at the cabin and that you got to see what winter in the Tetons is like. Be safe, God bless, and thanks again for coming. Janine Jolley

Appreciate availability for wedding weekend!

  • 4 of 5

House very comfortable and clean - bride's aunt really impressed with clean oven! Property was so convenient to wedding site at Moose Creek Ranch and allowed older relatives some privacy away from festivities. Aunts did stress about leaving property clean enough to meet rules book directions.

Owner's Response: Thanks so much for your stay. You were very organized and did such a good job. We do appreciate it! You did over and above what most guests do......and we do thank you for it! It's super hard for our housekeepers to get all the laundry done without some help from guests to throw some in when new guests are coming right in the same day. I'm glad we could help, and hope you will consider us for future family stays!

Awsome Cabin, very clean and nicely decorated.

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Moose Creek Cabin 5 adults and 2 kids (6 yo and 8 yo) for 4 nights. The cabin was only 25 min drive from Jackson Hole, WY. It is located only 2-3 miles from the WY-ID border, just past Teton Pass. The house was very clean. The house décor was very nice and had a very nice WY feel. We cooked dinner every night and the kitchen had everything that we needed. The kitchen appliances were probably the nicest I seen in the VRBO house. The grocery supermarket was located only 15 minuets from the house (in Driggs, ID). There was smaller grocery store which was nicely stocked only 10 minutes from the house (Downtown Victor, ID).

If my family takes another trip to Jackson Hole, the Moose Creek Cabin is the place were we will be staying I recommend this cabin to anyone. You will love it.

A lovely cabin with great views

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was perfect for our 10 day end of August family vacation for a party of 7 - parents, grandparents and 3 grown kids. The property is very comfortable, clean and well-maintained. There were plenty of bed linens and towels, and the kitchen had everything you need to feed a crowd. The views are spectaular - we really enjoyed our breakfast on the deck every morning. The location is great, with easy access to Grand Teton and Yellowstone. The noise from the road didn't bother us, and was a small price to pay for the fantastic location and views. The fishing creek near the house was a definite plus - a couple of hours spent there in the morning netted us a terrific grilled trout dinner at night. The momentary scare thinking we locked ourselves out of the cabin was dealt within minutes after we contacted one of the housekeepers. We really enjoyed our stay, and would highly recommend the property.

Owner's Response: Hi Victoria. Truly, your family is very classy. We thought you were the best guests of the summer. You went over and above in all you did. I really hope you have a wonderful Fall and that all in your family will be well and happy. Thanks for all you did. I told the Owner about the bowls you ordered, and she was very, very touched. Thanks for your kindness and good words about the cabin. I grew up eating those brook trout from the same stream...They are fantastic! With Respect and Thanks! Janine Jolley We'd love for anyone you recommend to come to the cabin. And, please come back yourselves!

Good. Next to highway though.

  • 4 of 5

The cabin was great! Very clean and cozy! However it is right next the the busy highway so the noise level was not relaxing, especially when sitting on the deck. The owners were responsive to questions/ concerns. Overall a good stay if you don't mind the traffic.

Owner's Response: Hi and thanks for your stay in our wonderful cabin in an extremely convenient location to Jackson Wyoming! The owners have done a wonderful job of planting about 40 new TALL trees to block the highway. It's true that the cabin is close to the highway, but the price, furnishings, spacious interior, and 3 acres that the cabin sits on (and adjacent to MILES of forest ground), make this a spectacular value. If it were truly a cabin located in absolute solitude on thousands of acres away from all people, it would be 10 times more per night, and MUCH harder to travel to. : ) We think it has the best of all worlds. We hope you'll come back. We're very proud of this cabin, great owners and upscale furnishings. Thanks! Janine
