Waterfront Log Home en Quiet Lago-25 Minutos -Domingo River Ski

Alejarse de todo... Ubicado en el borde de las montañas blancas de la Región de los Lagos de Maine occidental, este es el gran ideal, a casa de madera frente al lago si su idea de conseguir implica distancia partida en el aire libre y lejos de las multitudes.

Durante el invierno disfrutar de la gran chimenea de piedra en la sala principal, cerca de esquí, motos de nieve y patinaje sobre hielo en el lago. En primavera y otoño disfrutar de la hoja de espiar y senderismo en las Montañas Blancas. Durante el verano disfrutar de la apacible lago con privados 230 pies. Lago de propiedad, la entrada de arena el agua, natación, canoa grande, barbacoa en una terraza grande y una hamaca con hermosas vistas al agua ya la montaña.

This is the quietest, most serene place we have rented in all of Maine. The Papoose Pond may not be a big body of water, but it was great for kayaking at any level of inexperience. The Crooked River, however, was a pleasant challenge among the zigs and zags and was loaded with large brown trout.If you like peace and quiet, this is the place to go.

Just what we needed

Check-in was a breeze, Wi-Fi was excellent, the cabin was comfortable but best of all the location was perfect. We were looking for a quiet, pretty place to relax and that’s what we got. We swam, hiked a little, watched the birds and had a wonderful week.

Great vacation for 2 families!

This house was a perfect get-away! We travelled as two families of 4. The house acommodated us very well and the views of Papoose Pond were incredible. The pond access allowed for a great swimming spot as well as a great place to fish. The owners were super helpful, by sending a bunch of information ahead of time as well as checking in mid-stay to see how we were doing. We took a canoe ride down the crooked river, as suggested by the owner and it was a blast. We would definitely recommend booking a stay!

Great authentic Maine winter experience

First off, so there is no confusion, we loved our time at the house, on the property, overall great. A couple things definitely would want to convey. If you’re going in the winter and there is snow, the house is truly in the woods, and a 4 Wheel Drive vehicle was very necessary.

Waterfront Log Home on Quaint Lake

Loved our visit to this log home. Very spacious and well equiped kitchen. Amazing views of the lake. Had everything you need for a nice relaxing trip with your family or group of friends. They give access to their canoe and kayaks. Theres a place to gather around a fire and a deck to enjoy the views and grill for your needs.Also an indoor fire place with plenty of wood available! so much potential

This Could be a really nice place to stay - However the cabin feels a bit neglected. The location was beautiful the structure itself was great but it isn't really well kept. The fridge, counters and couch were dingy, the microwave handle was held together by tape, the shower had hair in it upon arrival, they were SO MANY flies upon arrival, Some windows were missing screens, there were excessive cobwebs, and only two mattresses were decent. Would love to had made this a repeat place to rent but I'm sad to say it's not going to be.

Long weekend away

The house was exactly as advertised. Very clean and bright. The host was great and she even left me a voicemail( we were out on the pond) about the pond some ways to go on the kayaks. 2 towns are close for shopping/groceries and gas. And there are so many hiking trails nearby.

Lovely lakeside retreat

My family enjoyed staying at this property. The house was secluded and private, the pond access was ideal for kayaking and swimming for our young son, and the surrounding area was very nice. I appreciated that the house had some helpful safety features for a toddler including stair gates. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Stay at Papoose Pond

This house had everything we needed for a great family vacation. The location is lovely, quite secluded in the woods, and right next to a pond. We were there in February and skied at Mt. Abrams and Sunday River, which are both nearby. In the evenings we enjoyed relaxing by the big fireplace in the living room, and cooking in the fully-stocked kitchen. The owner was very kind and provided lots of information and suggestions of things to do in the area. No complaints at all. We would like to come back in warmer weather to do some hiking and to enjoy the pond. Thank you for everything!

Cute cozy cabin

The cabin was super cute and cozy! And the owner was so kind and had great communication! Only complaint would be the cleanliness- some rooms were quite dusty and had some trash on the floor under one of the beds. But otherwise, 4 stars!

Great Place!

Clean, true to the description, friendly, responsive owners, well stocked. Suggestion to visitors: go to the Gem and Mineral Museum in Bethel. It is world class. Note for older visitors: There are no safety bars in either shower.

Spacious house

This house had room for 10 people. It was clean, the beds were comfortable and the kitchen had all the essentials you would need in it. The owners gave lots of information about things to do and see in the area, gave excellent directions to the house and were available to answer any questions you had. We had a wedding to go to and we were very happy that it was located within 8 minutes of the property. We had a great long weekend there.

Wedding weekend

We had a wedding in the area so we found this spot. It was a cool cabin right on the water. Wish we had more time to enjoy it as it was a beautiful secluded area.

Perfect Little Get Away

Tiny pond but the peacefulness was just what we wanted. No neighbors! The camp was big enough for parents, children and grandkids to visit. Small beach but sandy spot for little ones. We would definitely go there again ♥️

Great Lake Cabin

What an amazing little gem of a cabin on a lake close to a great little downtown with quality food and friendly people! Property manager gave us a call shortly after we arrived and made sure we were satisfied with the property. Lake is nice and quiet with plenty of sights to see as you swim, canoe and kayak. It truly is “the way life should be!!!”

Very nice weekend getaway

Very cute house and lots of extra stuff to do. We loved kayaking through the pond, and having a fire at night. Will definitely stay here again!

Great weekend getaway for ski trip

The house was great for our weekend ski trip to Sunday River. The house was clean and had everything we needed to make breakfast and dinner both days. The three bedrooms plus the loft beds were comfortable and views of the pond out back were great.

When Jeff and I were in our early 20's, we started going up to coastal Maine every year in the summer. Raised in NY and southern CT, we fell in love with the quaint New England villages, the pine air, cool night summer breezes, the people, and the laid-back lifestyle. In 2001, we lived in a condo in downtown Boston and wanted to find a weekend retreat that offered lots of outdoor activities throughout the year. We had heard about the Lakes Region in Maine and decided to explore that area of Maine. The first time we saw this Log Home, set in the woods, on a beautiful lake, we knew it had everything we had hoped to find. With nearby skiing at Sunday River and Mt. Abram's and the interstate trail system of cross country and snowmobile trails - it would provide us with plenty to do during the winter. In the summer, we could canoe, kayak, swim, hike... or just relax by the lake. And, the nearby quaint New England towns of Bridgton and Bethel reminded us of why we were drawn to Maine so many years ago.

The house sit on a lake and faces the sunset. Each evening, you can sit on the deck, watching the loons on the lake, as the sun dips below the White Mountains in the distance.
