Our Jungle Tree House isn't really a tree house, but on stilts it reaches above a canopy of ancient oak and palm trees to a crow's nest with a distant view of the Atlantic Ocean. You’ll love the seclusion and privacy while hidden in the tree tops. The house is great for couples, families, big groups, and outdoor pets. Feel free to surf, fish, stroll, sun and just chill out. Unlike more crowded Florida beaches, you can often find yourself walking alone as you scan the ocean for frequent sightings of dolphin and turtles along with the occasional glimpses of manatee or even migrating right whales. Many guests will treasure the experience of sleeping in the lofty crow's nest, but most will enjoy the spacious master bedroom or the two mezzanine level bedrooms. The living room features a high ceiling, a wood burning fireplace, sliders to the rear deck and an open floor plan to the kitchen. There is a lovely dining room and a media room with a large screen television, surround sound audio system and, of course, free WiFi. Under the house there is over 1200 square feet of concrete area for parking or storage of bicycles, surfboards, kayaks and other toys. With unbuilt lots to the east and north and a long driveway facing south, the vibe is that of a quiet hidden jungle retreat. Relax and enjoy!
The Jungle Tree house is just a three minute walk from a beach access in the middle of the Archie Carr National Wildlife Refuge, one of the very few places on Earth where three different species of sea turtles nest. We are also very close to the Indian River Lagoon, the most biodiverse lagoon ecosystem in the northern hemisphere. Amid this tropical wonderland, you will find Florida's best known surf break, some the state's best fishing, great opportunities to see manatees, dolphin and other sea life from Stand-Up Paddleboards or kayaks and hidden bicycle trails through palm/oak habitat, mangrove swamp areas and beachside paths. The immediate neighborhood is a relaxed and laid back street sandwiched between the ocean and the lagoon. There is a nice restaurant within easy walking distance plus two excellent bait & tackle shops, not to mention Sebastian Inlet Surf & Sport, our very own surf shop. We can fill you in on the best surf spots, give you maps of the bike trails, let you use our outdoor 'jungle gym' or teach you how to surf.
As owners, we will always be available to make your stay the best possible experience. We consider ourselves the 'concierges of the south beaches' and can recommend restaurants, excursions and other things to do in the vicinity.
