Demachi 2 house is a convenient vacation rental that offers a practical mixture of western comfort and Japanese tradition for a pleasant stay in Kyoto.



Description of the house



On the ground floor there is a dining room, kitchen and bathroom (shower and Japanese bath). Upstairs there are two Japanese tatami rooms (with one and two futons respectively) give a feeling of peace and well deserved rest after your days spent exploring the city. From the north window there is a breathtaking view of Hoseji temple where you can lose yourself in the sounds and smells of Buddhists ceremonies.

Two stations away from downtown Kyoto, this house is located in a popular local's neighbourhood, ideally situated near the Kamogawa River. It is 200 meters away from the Demachi-Yanagi train station, which allows all the North-South connections in Kyoto and a direct line to Osaka.

It was the perfect place for the end of our trip. Quiet and homely, it had everything i was looking for an more. The decor was nice, the futons were comfortable. I would absolutely recommend this to any travelers looking for a quiet homebase while exploring Kyoto and the surrounding area.
