In general I could spend a few days in the house, I will not repeat this experience.

The television is broken, and the owner knew and did not change, in the room there is an opening to the outside that has an iron net which makes the room very cold at night. It has no gate to the outside, so security is jeopardized because the windows can not lock and the door of the street can not close inside.

Spacious Villa

As described, spacious and functional. Ideal base from which to explore or, you can just laze around the pool. We had a fab stay, looking to go back next year. We didn’t want to leave . Weather was fab it was our first time in Portugal Definitely return Suggestions Could use a pizza tray and pizza cutting wheel. Also, an Airer would be beneficial.

Half term break

An excellent spacious villa in a quiet location whilst being walking distance to the village of Estoi which has a few great value restaurants and a number of cafe/snack bars. Only 15min drive to Olhao and Faro. Would recommend the pool heating this time of year. Would definitely return.

Très belle maison mais tout ne correspond pas aux photos mises en lignes

Les propriétaires nous ont donné satisfaction pleinement. Cependant l’annonce ne correspond en rien aux photos mises en lignes’ donc on peut être très surpris.

Excellent!

This was my first time renting a villa and I was quite happy. As soon as we arrived at the house the owner was there to greet me and my family and suggested areas around the villa that was worth exploring. I would 100% rent this villa again.

A peaceful retreat

We had a lovely week at Maryanne’s villa. So handy for the airport and the fishing port of Olhão where we spent many evenings having a drink / meal on the front. The pool was amazing, the boys had hours of fun in there.The villa is a good size and has everything you can ask for. The pool table was also a hit with matches going on late into the evening. We wandered into the village of Estoi where we walked around the palace and had a quick drink in the cafe by the church, very reasonable and menu looked good. All in all a wonderful holiday, 10/10.

Spacious well equipped villa in lovely location.

We had a great fortnight here, lovely weather, ideal location for many of the Algarve's attractions. The kids loved the pool, and we all enjoyed the nightly pool table competitions. Highly recommended!

casa grande con algunos detalles a pulir

La casa esta bien equipada pero no lo suficiente para albergar con comodidad al total de su capacidad . El salon es grande y tiene una mesa de billar que esta muy bien, pero quita espacio y solo pueden sentarse comodamente 5 personas en los sofas, asi como la cocina donde la capacidad maxima de personas a la mesa es de 6. Por lo demas tiene de todo en la cocina y habitaciones , solo nos fallaba el aire acondicionado del salon. Espero que lo solucionen.La piscina es un acierto y se agradece con el calor

een ruime rustige woning

Afgelopen februari 2017 een weekje in deze woning geweest. Een hele mooie ruime woning. Tijdens deze week was het weer wat wisselvalig maar met een zonnetje werd het al gauw behoorlijk warm. Verwarmd zwembad was een zeer aanbevellingswaardige optie. Om zwembad te laten verwarmen moet er wel bijbetaald worden maar zeker de moeite waard. In februari is het in de avond wel wat koud maar met een open haard en airco die ook op warm kan was het al heel snel prima te doen. En dan de omgeving. Werkelijk fantastische kust in vooral de buurt van Lagos en Portimao. Onze kinderen hebben zich (en wij ook) heel fijn met bakjes en zandschepjes vermaakt. Eigenlijk geen minpuntjes behalve dat je wel rekening moet houden met weinig spullen voor kinderen en dat je zelfs afvalzakken zelf even moet halen maar verder complete huis met alle toebehoren! We gaan zeker weer eens terug.

Perfect January escape

We had a lovely holiday in Maryanna's beautiful villa with just a 5 min walk frm nearest coffe shop.There was everything you could possibly want or need,the kitchen was fully equipped.Heating in every room plus fire place in living room,very comfortable beds and lots of space.Good quiet rural retreat.15 min by car to Olhao.

très bon séjours

Parfait,la météo été la,la location été parfaite ,il ne manque rien.Tres bonne impression générale.Les propriétaires nous ont bien reçu et la prise des lieux extrêmement rapide.La maison à tout le confort que l'on peut attendre avec sa grande piscine bien entretenue,tout à fait comme d'écrit dans l'annonce .Nous étions 6 et personne n'a fait de remarque sur la qualitée de la location.Pour ma part je conseille pour un séjour dans ce beau pays où les gens sont vraiment à votre écoute et essayent toujours de vous aider.Je pense retourner le plus rapidement possible car je vais monter un plan pour ma retraite.Les restaurants ne sont pas chère,au point que nous avons manger midi et soir vu le prix qui tourne pour un repas complet entre 7et 10euros par personne (grande différence avec la France )boisson inclus. Pour résumer très bon séjour et je le recommande vraiment pour decouvrir une autre façon de voir le Portugal . Jean Pierre

Great for family

This is our third time staying at Maryanne's villa but am only getting around to writing review!!!!!! On all three stays we have had a great holiday. We are a family of two adults and three children and usually have another few people staying over the duration of our two weeks. The villa is lovely. A very good size and well equipped with everything you would need for your holiday. Maryanne and her family are very friendly and helpful but only if you need them, they do not intrude on your holiday at all. Estoi is a nice village and within walking distance of the house. It has all the basics but you would need a car to get to beaches, larger supermarkets and restaurants. All of these are within a short drive of Estoi. We love this place and hope to visit again in 2016. Orla (Ireland)

Belle villa

La villa, a l écart du bruit, est bien située, point de départ idéal pour des excursions, proche des grandes routes sans avoir à traverser les embouteillages des villes. Elle est spacieuse, propre et bien équipée pour une location de vacances. Les propriétaires gentils et discrets. Dommage qu ils ne parlent pas français et qu ils n aient pas prévu d eau dans le frigo pour notre arrivée avec une chaleur de 48'. La piscine de bonne taille aurait pu être nettoyee un petit peu plus souvent. Seul bémol, la literie : les matelats a ressorts sont destructeurs pour le dos!!!

Super sunny, relaxing and accommodating!

Maryanne was very lovely! The DVDS player wasn't working and she gave us one from her own home immediately. She was close by for any questions. The villa was very clean and had everything we needed. The area was very quiet and a short walk into the village for small shops and cafes/bars and a quick drive back to Faro for bigger store. Great value for the money!

Foram mais uma vez, 8 excelentes dias passados na casa Ornela, zona verde muito bem estimada, impecável. Agora de zona de estar, com serviço por cabo disponível e uma mesa de Snooker, A.C. em todos os quartos mais sala. Piscina muito agradável e limpa muito espaço para estacionar viaturas e não só,com jardim bem tratado, etc.... Ideal para casais com filhos, para umas merecidas férias. Cumprimentos aos sempre simpáticos e prestáveis donos da vila Ornela,à D.Mariana e Sr.Claudio, um muito obrigado por tudo, cumprimentos.

Great traditional style Villa in Rural location

Villa Casa Ornella is set in a quiet rural location on the Estoi - Olhao road. The village of Estoi is a 5-10 minute walk with a few Cafe's serving light meals, 2 mini supermarkets and a butchers. Cash points are also available in the village. The Villa itself is well maintained with a good sized pool which if not heated was 26 deg in July. The 3/4 size pool table was also lots of fun. The villa owners are very friendly and helpful; they were not obtrusive during our stay despite living only a few metres away from the property. We would recommend a car if staying here as the bus stop is a 15-20 minute walk and takes you to Faro (25 minutes) where you make all other connections to other locations in the Algarve. The beaches are beautiful but are at least 25 minutes to the nearest one by car. Most beaches near to Faro are only accessible by ferry. All in all we had a very relaxing and pleasant stay and would recommend staying at Villa Casa Ornella if you're looking for a quiet relaxing break.

A lovely villa with great pool and good location.

The villa was one of the best we have stayed in because of the location and good size pool. We walked to the local bars and staying in Estoi gives you a real feel and understanding of Portuguese life. Maryanne, the owner, was on hand if we needed her, as she lives next door, although Maryanne respected our privacy.

Best holiday ever

Fantastic villa for all the family. There were eight of us staying for a fortnight and everything we needed was provided. Four adults, two teenagers and two children all had a fantastic holiday though a car is a must if you want to see more of the Algarve. Maryanne was very helpful, especially when we needed to get to a hospital within a few hours of arriving. She took the 'casualty' in her own car to Faro and waited 4 hours with him ... Could not expect anything better. Having the swimming pool was great. Two grandchildren taught to swim in two weeks! The walk into Estoi is not too taxing and there are two small supermarkets and butcher that all speak English so shopping is no problem. There is a small variety of other shops though going to Sao Bras de Alportal lets you shop at a Lidl supermarket which is only about 10mins by car. All in all well worth the money and highly recommended. Our thanks to Maryanne and her family for a great time. The Lucas Tribe

Fab villa, fab people, fab country.

Thankyou Maryann and family for looking after us all so well. We had a lovely time, despite my husbands mishap on our arrival, ( stupid boy!) Everything was perfect and we have started saving to come back in a year or two. Loved the festival on our last day. Hope to see more of the beautiful horses next year. Thanks again Wendy and Darren and kids.

Fantastic holiday in Estoi/Algarve

We have stayed in this villa for 5,5 weeks in December 2012/January 2013 (15 - 20 degrees outside). It is a fantastic, well equiped, house. At first it was a little bit chilly, but with the heath of the air conditioning (hot) in every room and a fantastic fire place, in the living room, we had a warm and comfortable stay. (Ofcourse we bought the wood ourselves) The swimming pool was at our request heated to 22 degrees, so our granddaughters have swum every day. T.V. and Internet connection worked well. The owners of the house were very helpfull and kind. Portugal/Algarve is beautiful, mountains as well as the villages are fantastic. Very helpfull and kind people everywhere. Estoi is a wonderful place with Roman ruines and the palace; a good start for trips in the Algarve. André and Wil Dumont Holland

private pool not heating

The villa advertised as "Villa with private pool heating" suggests the pool is heatable, which appeared not to be so. The owners only have the intention to make the pool heatable. In the bathrooms, close to the toilets, there is an important notice with the following contents: "The plumbing system in Portugal is not of the same standard of the UK. To avoid blockage please do not dispose of any toilet paper or tampons down toilet. Please use the bin provides. Thank you." It would have been appropriate if we were informed about this in advance.
