Town: Located on the beautiful North Devon Coast, not far from the thriving seaside resort of Ilfracombe, is the little fishing community of Hele Bay. There's a lovely tearoom, a gorgeous cove beach with rock pools that wouldn't be out of place in a foreign country, and two pubs (the Madrigal Brewery Shop & Tap Room and The Hele Bay Pub) where you can sample the local ales. Visit Ilfracombe to learn about the area's past at the Ilfracombe Museum, go on a charter fishing excursion out of the harbour, take in breath-taking views from atop Capstone Hill, or stroll along the town's excellent sandy beaches and discover secluded coves. Within easy reach are the hidden gems of Combe Martin Wildlife & Dinosaur Park, Barle Valley, and Heddon's Mouth, not to mention the numerous magnificent walking and cycling routes that wind through the Dunkery & Horner Wood National Nature Reserve.
