Great place!!

We traveled here for a fishing tournament on the Mississippi River. 4 trucks and boats, plenty of parking and great set up. Cabin was fantastic and communication with the owners even better. Would recommend this place to anyone!

Great area for relaxing

The house was exceptionally clean and has great views of the surrounding farmland - especially on the new large deck. The kitchen was well-stocked and fully functional. Really a great place to relax! There is also some great hiking within about a half-hour drive.

Beauty in the Heartland

We spent 4 nights in this luxurious vacation rental. It was quiet, with gorgeous views, clean and comfortably appointed. The front porch is right out of HGTV! Jennifer and Grant were very responsive to questions and always available if we had needed anything. We so appreciated this rather isolated home and couldn’t get enough of the view from the deck overlooking the mighty Mississippi! We love to cook and were thankful for the gas stove and all of the utensils and small appliances. Thank you too for the spices and staples. The bed was very comfortable and the shower had lots of power. We wanted to cook, take country drives, see the changing autumn leaves, go to the orchard and hike—and this is exactly what we got. This property is a keeper and we hope to make a yearly trek to this charming home and lovely part of Wisconsin.

Cabin: a home away from home

We stayed at Jennifer and Grant's cabin for 4 nights. It did not lack anything that we would have needed: it was clean, had a well stocked kitchen, a comfy bed, the charm of a cabin and an added plus that due to its location in the farming area that we had all the solitude that we needed. The sunrises were spectacular! Jennifer was a wonderful hostess.

Varo View wows

We stayed in the Varo Family Cabin for a whole week and it served at the perfect home base for exploring the Driftless area. The place was spotless and well-equipped. After days spent hiking, canoeing, and horsebackriding, the cabin was a comfy retreat that offered a serene environment, ample birdwatching, and dramatic sunrises and sets beyond the bluffs overlooking the Mississippi. We enjoyed watching local farmers bail hay, hearing the nearby cows mooing and roosters crowing, and the playful swallows flutter about in the peaceful, constant, and refreshing breeze on the front porch and on the back deck. My kiddos loved all the kid-oriented touches from Big Bear in the loft, the games and puzzles, and the swings outside. The Varos were very accommodating and we loved having s'mores supplies on hand. Thank you, Varo Family, for sharing your sweet abode.

Absolutely Perfect for our Family Vacation

Varo View had everything I was looking for as a last hurrah of summer before we sent our 3 sons off to college! We enjoyed breathing views from a nice large deck. Lots of birds & wildlife all around. We cooked s'mores & star gazed around the fire ring. All the stars are so bright out here away from other lights. The loft was a great set up for our boys to be together but each had their own bed. The kitchen is good sized & well set up. Everything was very nice & clean. We absolutely loved it!

Varo View is our getaway from the chaos and hectic schedules to relax with our children and make lasting memories. Since we are not able to enjoy it all the time we decided to share our views and getaway with you. Enjoy!

Why they chose this property

Varo View is special to us for many reasons, but high on that list is that it connects to the
Varo family farm where Grant was born and raised. The red barn you see between the
cabin and the Mississippi is his family’s century farm.
