Great, cozy cabin where you can see wildlife and tons of stars! We loved our time here and hope to come back. Recommend bringing binoculars and a good flashlight!

We love Larry and Deb's cabin. Solitude in the woods describes it perfectly. The cabin is immaculate and has everything you need.We love sitting on the deck and relaxing, and we especially enjoy walking the property. We saw several trees that had been fallen by beavers and the dam they built. We also saw several deer. This was our second stay, we'll be back. Highly recommend.

The property was beautiful. The house was very clean and very nice. Because our car broke down we were only there for one night instead of the three nights we booked. If we return to this area again, we would definitely stay there.

The cabin was spotless, well equipped and maintained. It was just my wife and I but the large deck and porch has room for for a group. The yard is huge and was great to walk our dogs. Communication with the host was excellent. Great location, easy to get to and very secluded.

Well kept property close to The Great River Road and tucked into the bluffs of the driftless region. A great take-off spot for lots of area attractions. But, if you want solitude, this is the spot! Everything was clean, working, and up to date. We would definitely stay again.

Piece of Paradise

This is our 2nd visit to this lovely cabin. We have never stayed in such a clean cabin. Larry and Deb are so easy to work with and make you feel like you’re part of the family.They have thought of every little convenience to make you comfortable. The property is beautiful. This is truly a gem. It’s only 25 min to Prairie du Chien and only 10 minutes from the Mississippi.

Another Excellent Experience

5 Star! We stayed here for the third time because we knew it was so great! The atmosphere in the hallow is extraordinary especially the birding! A short mile drive to the Mississippi River and many scenic overlooks within an hour. Opportunities for boating and fishing abound. Nice and secluded

A gem of a place!

Wonderful, cozy cabin that was perfect for our long week-end getaway. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Loved the large living room with beautiful views of the property and the deck was fabulous. Location was ideal for exploring the area. Would love to stay there again.

So Relaxing

We had a great stay. The cabin was on a beautiful piece of property,quiet and secluded.The deck was very nice and quite large. My wife enjoyed having her morning coffee out there and listening to the birds.There's a grill for your use too.If you walk the grounds,you'll come to a little concrete bridge across a stream. If you cross it and go right,you'll see a round concrete table and benches.Its a lovely spot to just sit and relax.There are black walnut trees on the property,so if you come in the fall and walk around,make sure you wear shoes you don't mind getting a bit dirty.Depending on your cellphone carrier you may not have service,we didn't and we have Pure Talk.There is ample space for parking so if you have a boat you have nothing to worry about.The inside was very clean and included everything you may need to make your stay enjoyable.The sun room/family room is quite large with large windows,TV,wood burner and heater for chilly nights,small microwave and coffeemaker.The kitchen was small but well equipped with electric stove,microwave, coffeemaker,blender, and the basics. The bathroom was a good size with a double sink which was nice.The bedrooms,though not large,were adequate.The bedding was clean with no stains or wear and tear.The mattress was super comfy and we both have back issues. We hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did!

The Name Says It All

We were looking for a chance to get away from the hustle and bustle before the end of summer, and this place was absolutely perfect. The kids were able to experience their first campfire complete with s’mores, we enjoyed a trip to the local orchards, and appreciated being able to let the kids ramble in the beautiful backyard. This cabin was exactly as advertised, and we felt incredibly well taken care of during our stay. Hosts were easy to communicate with, and when we left a well-loved nighttime toy, they made arrangements to get it back to us. Highly recommend, and we look forward to returning!

We have lived in this area since we were born. We love it here with all of the natural beauty it has to offer. We love to fish so being so close to the Mississippi is awesome. Our family always loves to go to the cabin. Our daughter got married there and now we have another generation enjoying it.

We love this property because of its awesome beauty and serenity. We are close enough to surrounding towns and cities if we need a grocery run or seeing a movie.

We think the best parts of the cabin are the huge back deck and our unique fire pit. We have so many wonderful memories of our family cooking on the deck and in the evenings enjoying the campfire and of course, listening to Grandpa calling in the owls. The wildlife is abundant, listening to the birds in the morning, hearing the turkeys calling and seeing the deer right in the lawn.
