April Cottage | Winterton Cottages

Full of character, April Cottage has been lovingly restored to provide stylish and well equipped accommodation.

Downstairs, the living room has comfortable sofas, TV/DVD, woodburning stove and patio doors leading to a sunny enclosed courtyard behind the cottage. The separate dining room features an original stone floor and leads through to the well equipped kitchen with an electric oven, fridge with a small freezer compartment and a microwave. The washing machine and dryer are in the outhouse which is just outside the stable style kitchen door.

Upstairs there are two beautifully appointed bedrooms. Bedroom one has a comfortable kingsize bed, and bedroom two has a standard double bed and a shower. The upstairs bathroom features a beautiful slipper bath for relaxing in, as well as a washbasin and WC. Please note that the quirky character of the cottage means the property is unsuitable for younger children under 10 years old.

At the side of the cottage is a gravelled parking area with space for one car, and there is free off road parking available nearby in the village. The parking area leads to a pretty cobbled courtyard with a bench, table and chairs. Guests are welcome to use the free WiFi.

Up to 1 large dog or 2 medium/small dogs are welcome at April Cottage at no additional charge. Please ensure dogs are kept downstairs and off furniture.

Perfect Cosy Cottage

Fabulous location, spotlessly clean, extremely well equipped cosy cottage. Stayed twice now and will definitely be returning again. Its 5 mins to beach, pub, fish and chips shop, tea room and shop. We love April.cottage and dogs are welcome too.

Our winterton stay

What a loverly place to stay. The Cottage was loverly and clean with everything you could want. the location was great close to the pub for a drink and excellent food even for the dog. Just a five minute walk to the beach and sand dunes. Would highly recommend a stay at this place

Beautiful cottage. Perfect location.

April cottage was the perfect base to explore the amazing Norfolk coastline, and the vast local seal colony this time of year! The cottage was very clean, comfortable and well equipped, containing everything needed for an enjoyable stay. Thoughtful touches, and welcome goodies added to the experience. April cottage (and Winterton) is dog friendly, and the off-street parking space is a bonus. It's a short walk to the village pub, fish & chip shop, tea room, and a well stocked convenience store, with a ten minute drive to the nearest large supermarket. We will return one day!

Excellent cottage close to amenities

What a great find. The cottage is perfect, very comfortable and has everything you need. The location again perfect for the beach and pub. Very friendly and dog friendly place. The team in the pub were great and the food even better.

Lovely quaint Norfolk coastal stay

Had a lovely long weekend stay in April cottage . The location was perfect for my beach loving self , and the village had a lovely long weekend stay in April Cottage. The location was perfect for my beach loving self and the village has everything you could need - fish and chip shop, beach cafe, convenience store to name just a few. Cottage is lovely and homely. Bedrooms are relaxing and the bathroom large . The lounge is a relaxing space, and the kitchen has everything you could need. My pet pooch loved her little welcome treats . I will definitely recommend April cottage to others and hope to return.

A lovely little cottage that provided everything we needed and in a great location close to the village center and a short walk to the Dunes. Dog friendly too!.....The outdoor space is very small and laid to concrete but very pleasant and private. Really appreciate the welcome gifts also.

Cosy cottage

Lovely cottage, beautifully decorated, had everything we needed for our break. Very cosy too! Local amenities on our doorstep, although the pub was abit to close - we were in there every evening!! People we met were so friendly. Ideal for dog walking, as well as the beach, some great walks through the countryside.

Loved our stay

From the moment we arrived we felt very welcome and at home. Lovely welcome pack and information booklet to tell us everything we needed to know. Arrival information was accurate and easy to follow. April cottage has everything you need and the location is wonderful. We slept really well, so quiet at night. Friendly locals; Pub, tearooms, shop and fish and chip shop all walking distance and served with a smile. We wouldn’t hesitate to go back to April cottage and Winterton. We left feeling relaxed and refreshed.

Lovely Holiday Cottage.

April Cottage is a great place for dogs and their owners as it’s a short walk to Winterton beach. The cottage is cosy and very welcoming, clean and everything you could need. The log burner is a lovely addition and we used it nightly. Kitchen is very well equipped, we loved the dining room, and the cottage is well laid out. I do agree it’s not suitable for young children as the stairs are steep as one would expect in a cottage. All in all we had a great break in April Cottage and have booked again for next year! Just to add even though the beach is dog friendly all year, it is never packed and we always found plenty of room to walk without meeting too many other dogs. We would definitely recommend April Cottage to any dog parents.

Beautiful cottage by the sea.

April cottage is a lovely little period cottage, just a short walk from the beach. It sits along one of the narrow back roads in Winterton, so is quiet and un-overlooked but literally a few minutes walk from the village pub, cafe, (both friendly and lovely food!) and convenience store. The small court yard garden is secure and dog safe and there is a drive providing off road parking for one car. A larger garden is not missed, as there are lots of beautiful green spaces and walks directly from the cottage. All furnishings are clean, as is the kitchen and bathroom. Kitchen is small but clean and well equipped. Beds are extremely comfortable, with crisp, fresh linen. I am very particular about cleanliness but this cottage ticked all the boxes for me - very quaint and in keeping with the village but perfect in every way - I wish I could have stayed forever! The owner Rachel was so friendly and helpful and quick to respond to any queries I sent. She even left a lovely welcome box for us, with treats for us and our 2 dogs. Thanks for a memorable stay Rachel - we’ll be back! x

April Cottage is clearly cared for to a very high standard. Spotlessly clean, and equipped with everything you need to enable you to have a comfortable relaxing stay. April Cottage is situated in a great location for all the amenities, and walking distance to a beautiful clean beach.
