The nearest fishing harbour is Port Isaac which is famously recognised as the location for the TV series Doc Martin, Fishermen Friends and the renowned chef Nathan Outlaw. There are also a variety of shops, pubs and other restaurants in the vicinity too. If it is something more energetic you are looking for then you can head to Polzeath beach and try your hand at surfing or take a coastal walk and capture breath taking scenery along the way. The dramatic rugged North Cornwall coastline of Trebarwith Strand and Daymer Bay are not too far away as well as Rock where you can take the ferry over to Padstow. This is another area that has become Cornwall’s food capital, thanks to its restaurants, seafood shops and connections to the chef Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth. and which will provide ever lasting memories.
