Great rates and stellar hosts!
This was a short notice stay for my dad, brother, and I to get in some fishing the last few days. The pre-communication with the owners was fantastic with very quick responses to all of my questions. When we got to the house they met us there and walked through explaining everything. It was obvious that they loved the place and cared about their guests.
While the house itself is nothing fancy or new, it was clean and had all the amenities one might need. There were a few staple food items (presumably left by previous guests) as well as a beautiful deck with a charcoal grill. The homemade chocolates and personalized handwritten card were a wonderful touch.
The house would comfortably sleep 6 (2 couples and 2 singles) and is only a few minutes from Soldotna with plenty of shopping for anything you may have forgotten as well as some great fishing.
I’ll definitely be saving this place in my favorites for the next trip up here.

Thank you for the great review!! We try very hard to give our guests a comfortable and pleasant place to relax and unwind. We look forward to meeting our guests and helping them however we can. With all the fishing to do, we don't want guests to spend their time gathering basic items. We truly want it to be a home away. Thanks again!!!!
As comfortable as home!
This is a real gem! Very clean, very well decorated, incredibly facilitating owners, and easily accessed. I don't have enough adjectives to describe how pleased we were with this house.
Warm and cozy
Loved it! Couldn’t have asked for a better place to make our 1st Alaska trip memorable. Gary & Teresa welcomed us with kindness and provided more than we expected. They provide everything you would possibly need away from home. If you are looking for a quiet warm comfortable place to relax, this is the place for you, outstanding!!
Amazing place at an amazing price
Gary & Teresa were Very welcoming and flexible when we had to change dates not only once, but twice! The accommodations were better than expected for the price. They grounds are Beautiful & seeing the moose & her calf across the street was awesome!
We will definitely be back IF it's available.
Great place with everything you need.
Property was nice and quiet. The owners were very friendly.I just wish we had more time to stay.
Thank you for the wonderful review! It is our hope and goal that our home is place where our guests can be comfortable, relax and enjoy their vacation. We would love to have you visit us again and hopefully have more time.
Tons of character!
We were so pleased with our stay. So many amenities and a warm welcome made us feel at home. We enjoyed the outside space very much. Didn't get to see the moose, but the birds put on a great show! The cat"Tom" warmed up to us right away. Quiet but close enough to everything. Thank you!
Thank you for the wonderful review! It was wonderful to be your host, and we're glad you enjoyed the home. We and Tom would love to have you visit us again!
There are many charter fishing options in the area, including Homer, Deep Creek, and the Kenai/Soldotna area. There is also bank fishing in Soldotna, five minutes from this home. In winter, there is a snowmobile trailhead 20 minutes south that leads to the Caribou Hills.
