    Very relaxing cottage with comfortable beds and great hot tub! Wonderful location for enjoying nature.The directions from Cottage.com needed more detail. The hint of being slightly past and across from the Oak Tree Inn and Balmaha boat yard would have been very helpful.

    The house was clean and had an excellent location.

    The house was clean and had an excellent location. The house had everything you need for cooking, and the most important thing about the house was the excellent balcony.

    Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy
    Terrible experience. Tv did not work - called for support numerous times over the stay and they could not get hold of the host/owner. Never replied to any messages. So had no working tv or dvd player for entire stay. Pathetic. Also it has THREE bathrooms not the four stated in the listing. Avoid this place like the plague. They really don’t care about guests one bit.The mattress protector in one bedroom was rotten and the actual mattress in another bedroom was heavily stained - disgusting.Not even enough plates or bowls to go round for one single setting for all guests. No thought.There is no access to the thermostat and so you have no control of the heating other than changing radiators constantly.Just to note that this lodge is not owned by the people who run all the other Balmaha Lodges there. Those people were very nice. This one is independent and the host doesn’t care about anything.
