Beautiful House. Great location for being able to walk out the back door to get on the ice for fishing. Also not far from other lakes for alternative options.
Our family had a great time at Jarred’s home on Pine Lake. The lake was nice for swimming, the home was clean, the living spaces were big enough for our family of 10, the kitchen was stocked with a lot of pots and pans and the bedding was nice in each bedroom. Jarred had timely communication before and during our stay. The group agreed…we would stay again!
We stayed at the house to be close to our daughter's destination wedding. The house was fantastic!
The property was fantastic, communication before during and after was excellent, and it was a great space to be able to connect with our family while staying near our daughter's destination wedding. We would highly recommend the property and are considering rental for next year for another family event.

Thank you so much for your wonderful review. We are so glad you like the home and enjoyed your stay. You were wonderful guests and we would love to have you back anytime.
We recently stayed at Pine Lake Retreat for a weekend. We were very pleased with the entire process. It’s a nice place that is well kept. It’s on a nice quiet lake with good ice fishing. Jarred was tremendous to work with. We are 6 friends from college in our early 50s who have been getting together for many years and this could very likely be a place we go to for our annual winter gathering. Very happy to be able to give this a high rating.
Group included wife & I, 2 adult daughters - 1 with husband and our 2 grandkids (11 & 8), the other with her "boy-friend". We all had a wonderful time. Owner Jarred was extremely easy to communicate with and responded to all questions promptly. House is well laid out with a great room style living room, dining room, kitchen. All 4 bedrooms were large and comfortable. Neighborhood was quiet and easy to access. The house is beautiful. It was very clean and all the appliances and furniture were in fantastic condition. Nice area out back to gather, enjoy an evening fire, and star gaze. The Milky Way is easily seen on clear nights. Sunset view from backyard was amazing. We were here too late in the season to enjoy fishing from the pier which had been removed already, in preparation for winter, but we were able to rent a pontoon boat from Becker Marina in Waupaca for a morning on the Chain of Lakes. Overall we had a wonderful time. Hope to come back next year.

Thank you so much for choosing our property. You were great guests and we would love to have you back. I am sorry you didn't catch any fish - maybe next time. If you can make it anytime from Memorial Day to Labor Day the dock will be in the water - which makes the fishing a bit easier. : ) Hope to work with you again soon!
First of all Jarred provided all the details and instructions in an email for a safe and enjoyable stay.
Inside the house it’s modern, incredibly clean, beautiful and cozy. We all had a good leisure time inside . It has a beautiful lake view even from inside. The lake was frozen. This should be a must place to stay especially in summer.
This is our second time staying at this property with family. We all had an excellent time. The home is amazing and has a beautiful view of the lake. The owner is wonderful to work with. We will be back next summer!
My family and I had a wonderful stay at this lake home. Everyone ooooh’d and ahhhh’d when we walked in. The sun was shining, the windows looked out on the lake and the home was beautiful. We had such a great time with so much space for the family to spread out into their own bedrooms. We had fantastic family time with home cooked meals, s’mores, games and movie night. The home is so clean and well appointed. Thank you for a wonderful stay and hoping to come back in the summer. Best experience yet at a rental!
Great rental for short or long term needs. Well stocked with supplies, games, children’s toys and books. We stayed two nights while traveling for a mountain bike race. The accommodations were very comfortable, roomy, stylish and clean. My kids were able to fish on the small stretch of sandy beach for their first ever fishing experience. They will never forget this place. There’s a nice private area for a portable campfire. Great for family gatherings and relaxing. Community was nice and quiet. Nice garage and parking for our 3 vehicles and mountain bikes.
We have been renting properties in the area for 25 years. This is a beautiful property on a beautiful lake. The home had everything you could want and the frontage was perfect for kids and teens alike. We walked, boated, biked, and paddled our way around the lake for a great week of fun with the family. This is an amazing place to reconnct and make memories.
This is simply one of the best properties we've stayed at through VRBO. The lake is beautiful. The water clear. The beach sandy. Inside, the layout was ideal for a vacation. The large open, kitchen/dining/living area was perfect for gatehring. The bedrooms and lower level gave plenty of room to spread out when needed. The screened in deck was lovely for lunch, dinner or games. Everything worked as expected. Jarred responded very quickly to my few questions. This is a can't miss property!
Very nice property. Super clean and spacious. Loved that there were two master suites-perfect for our two families. Jarred was quick to respond whenever we had a question. Would definitely stay here again (hopefully for more than a weekend next time)!!
We had a lovely time at this property. The location is a bit out-of-the-way but perfect for a quiet weekend. The setting is serene and the accommodations are beautiful and comfortable.
Nice lake house property. Pretty view of the sunset. Would be the perfect summer rental.
Rented for Thanksgiving week. Have family in the area and too many of us to all stay together. Spacious home. Accommodated the ten of us no problem. Owner is quick to respond with any concerns we had. We highly recommend this property!

About the host
Hosted by Jarred
This property has been in my family since the late 1800s. As a child, I spent every summer at the original cabin, making wonderful memories with my grandparents by the lake. Although I now live in Colorado, my family and I still come back for a few weeks each year to relive my childhood and hopefully create the same type of memories for my kids. Growing up, the house next to ours was always a rental. I loved playing with the kids who visited each week and made some great friendships over the years. In 2017, my wife and I decided to share this special place with others when we’re not using it. To help our guests create lasting memories, we offer the option to rebook the same week each year before opening the calendar to new visitors. We hope this tradition helps others make long-term memories, just like I have.
Why they chose this property
This property and the lake it sits on are perfect for children and families to enjoy. When my wife and I rebuilt in 2017, we specifically designed the house with this goal in mind. The property sits on a hill, enhancing the views, and its southwest exposure means the sun dances off the lake every sunset. Our beach is primarily soft white sand with a long, gradual entrance to the water, making it ideal for kids to play and swim. We provide a 40-foot dock with an 8"x12" platform at the end, along with umbrellas, chairs, paddleboards, kayaks, lifejackets, and water toys for you to enjoy. The house looks like a small cabin from the road but has a large walkout basement facing the lake. With 9-foot ceilings throughout, a screened-in porch, a deck, and huge windows and doors, the house brings the outside in. The house features two master bedrooms, one on each floor, two additional bedrooms, and a total of 3.5 bathrooms, offering a spacious, open feel. It is located on a quiet private dirt road with plenty of places for kids to ride bikes, run around, and play when they are not in the water. Although the home is 9 miles from the nearest town, it is centrally located, providing easy access to most of what Wisconsin has to offer regardless of the season. Enjoy swimming, boating and fishing in the summer. Take in the fall colors or use it as a base camp for hunting. In the winter, the lake offers ice fishing and snowmobiling and is not far from several ski resorts. With its indoor fireplace, outdoor fire pit views and blankets, this place has something to offer in every season.
