My husband and I loved the Dovecot! The location was perfect, just outside Edinburgh but easily accessible by train as well as a short walk to a grocery store, pub and a couple of restaurants. (The Tandoori place has excellent food and great wait staff!) The Dovecot was exceedingly clean and super cute. The parking was very convenient and our host was very responsive and accommodating. The bedroom is located on the 3rd floor, a good point to keep in mind, with a comfortable bed and lovely sitting area.We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would definitely stay here again!! Thanks

Clean, fun and well appointed property to stay in. Host has thought of everything. He was very responsive to our emails and gave clear instructions for check in and check out. Very quiet neighborhood. Nice to have onsite parking. Basic amenities a quick walk away. My only suggestion is to note in the listing that there are 3 levels. I knew there were stairs but I was thinking 2 levels. I have a bit of a mobility issue so although the winding stairs were a slight challenge, I embraced the challenge and it didn’t take away from my stay at all. It might be important for other folks to know that up front. Interesting to read the history of the property in the very detailed and appreciated welcome book. Would stay again if I’m ever back in Scotland and highly recommend to others looking for a unique place to stay.
