About Mary Ann
I fell in love with these mountains during my first ski trip out west. Ambitiously, I chose Jackson Hole as the place to fulfill my 'ski the west' dreams. I was ruined for life and became eternally restless living in Chicago. Being a part of the majestic lifestyle of the Teton Valley area has been exactly what my soul has needed. I have skied many places and I still feel like Teton County offers some of the best skiing in the world! And the summertime is heavenly with a pleather of activities to choose from.
Mary Ann purchased this House in 2016
Why Mary Ann chose Victor
Why this property? Victor, ID has views galore and is the cutest, small town I have experienced in a long time. I am delighted how close it is to Jackson, WY, but has a very different vibe. A calming, quiet, and friendly vibe...... and it has a great, local coffee shop (called SUBA)!
What makes this House unique
I fell in love with this home the moment I walked through the door! The layout, the design, the energy of the home all say, "Aaaah, come in and cozy up...." It is very hard to put words to it, but I knew this home was going to nurture and add to peoples' lives. This is the perfect basecamp to enjoy all that the area has to offer... and even just to chill out at home, reveling in the lovely surroundings. I am happy to be a part of that process for others.

Beautiful little house
Great little place to getaway! We loved it. Perfect for the kids to ski over spring break!
Hi Sarah! Thank you for taking the time to review your stay! I agree, this area is ideal for a getaway.... It is always great when the kids have some ski time on their spring break. I am glad to hear it was a success. Please come back anytime!
Great house--very roomy--in a great location!
This house is perfect for skiing at Targhee (it takes about 30 minutes)or hopping over the pass to Jackson, Wyoming (even with a lot of snow on the pass it takes less than an hour). We had everything we needed in the kitchen; with 2 bathrooms we had plenty of privacy; and the large living room allowed us space to have our family over to play board games or just visit. The beds were very comfy! Having a garage was also a huge plus since it snowed a lot while we were there. Mary Ann was very easy to work with and our deposit was refunded quickly. I would highly recommend this place in winter or summer. It is a beautiful area to visit!
Some area places we recommend: The Brakeman--yummy burgers: Grand Teton Brewing Company if you like craft beers; Big Hole BBQ--obviously for bbq; Provisions--good cafe/breakfast place; The Teton Geotourism Museum in Driggs--takes maybe an hour and is free; 2 coffee shops in Driggs- Rise and Cicero's; and the Branding Iron Restaurant up at Targhee Ski Resort--great place to eat! (There are a lot of choices in this area, unfortunately we only had so much time)
Diane, thank you for sharing all those great recommendations and for the lovely review of the house and area!! The burgers at The Brakeman..... to die for!! And lunch at the Branding Iron Grill while skiing Targhee.... amazing!! I am really glad to hear the house was conducive for you and the family spending quality time together. Sounds like you guys did a lot of great things on your vacation.... You and your family are welcome back anytime, Diane!
very nice house in a fantastic location. All the beds, furniture, and appliances are comfortable/ up to date!
Very clean house.
Thank you, Robert!! It was so nice to have you and you boys again. I hope you had a great time skiing with the fresh snow!! It is wonderful to hear that you were comfortable during your stay and that you enjoy the location. It is a joy to have all of you and I look forward to having you again!
Easy, comfortable, and well located.
Easy booking and instructions.
Comfortable property and furnishings.
Sits right between Targhee and JH.
I would definitely rent here again.
Thank you, Brent! I am happy to hear that you had ease, comfort, and clarity with your stay. I hope you enjoyed the skiing and that you had fun with all the snow we got. I am very grateful for the access to both Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and Grand Targhee Ski Resort. It is awesome to have such great ski resorts near the house! I am glad the location was good for you and your group. I look forward to you staying again, Brent!
We were taking a family ski vacation (Dad and three sons) to Salt Lake City. Realizing there was no snow in Utah we decided to drive four hours north to ski Wyoming. I did a search on VRBO and found Mary Ann's Mountain Maison. It looked fine and it was a reasonable price. Mary Ann was very communicative and getting there and into to the house went great. The house was excellent. We've rented via VRBO for ski vacations many times from Sugarbush to Vail and in all of those locations the rentals are just that a rental. For the first time I felt as if I walked into someone's home and not a rental unit. It was nicely appointed and decorated, clean and in great condition. I would strongly recommend staying at this location.
Regarding skiing; it was around a 20 minute drive to Grand Targhee which is fine for average to beginner skiers. If you want to ski a fantastic resort make the 30 minute drive to Jackson Hole. Full disclosure Jackson Hole is basically twice the cost so if you're looking to save money Grand Targhee is considerably less expensive and there is some challenging skiing to be found.
Regarding Victor: We really enjoyed the town of Victor. It's extremely small but the people were very nice. We had great food at the Knotty Pine and Bob's barbeque. We also had good food and watched football at the Taphouse.
Dad and three sons on a ski vacation sounds like fun and very special, indeed!! After driving for four hours, I am overjoyed that you felt like you walked into a home versus a rental house! I try to have all the comforts of home in Mary Ann's Mountain Maison because I know when I travel, I appreciate when I find a space like that. Skiing, football, good food, great family time...... so glad this trip was a success for all of you!
Please come visit again soon, John!
Excellent house with all amenities and great location!
There are some mustangs out the back window which are fun to watch play!
Thank you, Robert!! I am so pleased that you enjoyed the horses next door!! They are magnificent, especially the white one! I love sitting in the yard and watching them.... I am happy that you found the location ideal and the amenities were suited to your needs. I hope you got some fat tire biking in! Please come back for a stay in the future.
