house for rent in El Valle, Panama

Bedrooms 2
Space 1,000 sq. ft.
Property type house
Minimum Stay 2 nights

About the property

House, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 6 +))

Se alquila una casa de 2 recamaras con un baño, lavadora secadora, equipada con todo y capacidad de 6 personas.

This home has two bedrooms and one bath, it has plenty of room for up to 6 people. It comes fully equipped including new tank less hot water heater system (You don't run out of hot water), new fridge, inside washer and dryer, a six burner stove, micro wave, etc. Ceiling fans in all the rooms. Everything you might need to cook with, extra towels, hammock on the porch, bench and chairs, gas grill. (ask for the grill, it is kept in the shed).

The grounds are landscaped and very relaxing. The Anton river runs next to the property with its flora and fauna, it is a great place to take walks and explore. Wild pheasants, toucans, falcons and many more roost on the property. Gorgeous Blue Morpho butterflies along with various other species can be seen daily. This is a great place for environmentalist and birders looking for rare find or just enjoy nature. Don't pay the big bucks to go birding when the excursions are done right by this property and you can do it for free as many times as you like.

We provide: A cell phone with data, a little laundry detergent, paper towels, toilet paper, coffee, sugar, salt, soap, shampoo and conditioner, dishwashing liquid, sponge, garbage bags and you may use what ever spices are there.

Many clients have stayed at the property without a car, there is a mini bus system and taxis. At times they are readily available but it can also be a challenge when they are full or there is a lot going on in the valley. We recommend a high of the ground car and if possible a 4-wheel drive. The driveway has a high incline of paved rocks as you enter the property, after that it levels out.

While in El Valle you might want to visit the Sleeping Indian, Cloud forest, Canopy ride, Serpentarium, thermal springs, butterfly house, Painted rock, zoo, go horseback riding, ride the bus system good and cheap way to see El Valle, indulge at the local spas, Bruchetas(awesome), Gourmet Food and Coffee, or Casa de Lourdes (RESERVATIONS REQUIRED). If you want to go less expensive but good (Tierra y Mar) is a nice spot. Don't forget the fresh market or local arts and crafts center at the center of town that is open daily, extra venders come on the weekend.

My caretaker can act as a guide to the sleeping Indian or local spot.

About Valeri Dalton

I was born in Panama and I lived on this property when I was a child. I now live in Fort Walton Beach, Fl but I love to come home.

I have 3 daughters and 5 grandchildren, one is old enough to say, I want to go to El Valle!

Valeri Dalton purchased this house in 2000

Why Valeri Dalton chose Anton Valley

Beautiful location with incredible views and we wanted to preserve the areas natural beauty.

What makes this house unique

Awesome place to relax and be as loud or quiet as we like since there is quite a bit of property. Great place to hike, see so many birds, plants and enjoy nature. Dry season brings on so many fruits, plants and flowers to fascinate those who appreciate the rainforest.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Hi Valeri,

We had a great time in El Valle. Gisela and Carlos are very nice. Next time we'll probably opt for a place a little warmer, but we will certainly keep your email for a possible re-visit. We took some pictures but the ones you have on the website are better. We are attaching one of the hillside. All the pictures don't quite capture the full beauty of the site and the pleasantness of the house.

Thanks again.

Beautiful Home in Paradise

  • 5 of 5

I have stayed at this home 4 times. This is the best place in El Valle, very peaceful and relaxing. The owner has put in some new furniture, all new appliances, new ceiling fans, and new draperies and bedding. Kitchen is fully stocked for cooking or grilling outside on the BBQ. We will go back many times to this beautiful home. There is so much nature to view when you sit out on the front porch swinging in the hammock. Doesn´t get any better than this tranquility.

Wonderful spot to relax

  • 5 of 5

We have returned home from our third stay at this Piece of Paradise. Very comfortable home with gorgeous grounds surrounding the property. Easy to fall into vacation mode-watch birds and butterflies, read or nap in the hammock, hike along the river, or walk into El Valle. The town has numerous good restaurants, coffee shops, and markets as well as a fully stocked Rey's supermarket. We took advantage of all the fresh fruits and vegetables available at the open air market which is open every day. The kitchen is fully stocked with what you need for preparing all these delicious fresh foods. We also found the fish market near Rio Hato and enjoyed lots of shrimp, lobster and corvina. The weather is always great with cooler temps at night so perfect for sleeping. An hours drive to San Carlos or Santa Clara and you can be at the beach where it is always sunny and 90 degrees. Carlos and Gisela checked on us frequently to make sure we had everything we needed and answered any questions as best they could with our very limited Spanish! They also brought us fresh picked oranges and grapefruit from the trees on the property. The owner is always available by phone (phone provided with house rental) to answer any questions also. We will definitely be back in the future-love this place!!!!

Absolutely Enchanting!!!

  • 5 of 5

This CLEAN & COMFORTABLE casita is perched on a small hill surrounded by it's own private park. Beautifully terraced and landscaped, one feels like they are in their own private kingdom! Flocks of white egrets fly gracefully through the little valley, butterflies flutter about, the occasional toucan squawks and one catches glimpses of color from the many small multi-hued birds in the area. The sloth stayed in a tree near the terrace for 2 weeks---what a show!! There were fireflies in December--so charming! I stayed, alone, for 46 nights and was not the least bit bored. Definitely a SAFE location, too!

The master bedroom bed is comfortable, hot water situation is so-so and the kitchen is well stocked with cooking utensils and full sized appliances. It is about a 40 minute walk to town (gorgeous), but there are "hop on" mini-buses (50 cents) and taxis ($4). The caretakers and workers are all just lovely people and will help you in any way they can--best if you speak some Spanish, as no English is spoken. I suggest a stay of, at least, a week or two so that you may truly enjoy all that this enchanting valley has to offer. Many restaurants and stores to chose from.

The only possible downside is the internet situation (which the owner plans to rectify in March, 2015). If you MUST have strong, dependable, constant access--well, this might not be the place for you. I suggest checking with the owners for an update. The owner was most helpful and easy to work with--quick with replies to any and all questions. This is definitely a TWO THUMBS UP property. Should you chose this property, you will be THRILLED with your choice. Really!

Wonderful place!

  • 5 of 5

We just checked out after three wonderful days in this quaint little place. After spending 7 days in the hustle and bustle of Panama City, this was a wonderful spot to relax in peace and quiet.

The place is well appointed with a complete kitchen for making meals. Grocery store El Rey is well stocked.

Love the large room with several beds for family. Lots of movies, games and cards to keep everyone occupied.

My only recommendation would be ti install a fan in master bedroom. We weren't lucky enough to have the cool weather that El Valle is famous for.

We will definitely try to rent again.

Just returned from two weeks in this super location. Surrounded by nature's best, we would wake up early, grab a coffee, and go outside to just listen and watch the rainforest come alive. Birds of all sizes, colours and songs would give us quite a show. We even got to see the elusive blue crested Motmot on more than one occasion, and a momma sloth and her baby spent two days in a tree right on this property. Wow! Inside the home you had everything you would need, and we appreciated use of the barbecue so we could remain outside and soak up the incredible views from the patio.

We enjoyed the town of El Valle, and ate in town a few times, which was both delicious and very affordable. We did the local tourist sites, the market, the zoo, pictographs and waterfalls. The caretakers, Carlos & Gisela and also Antonio were friendly hardworking people, and kept the property looking amazing. We took many walks down by the stream and checking out the trails up the mountainside.

We met the owner, Valerie, at the end of our stay, and she was very patient and helpful, answering our many questions about the area. We would love to be able to return again in the future. Thanks Valerie, Carlos, Gisela and Antonio for sharing this property and keeping it the way Mother Nature intended. Peace and serenity at its finest!!

Tranquil & beautiful

  • 5 of 5

We had such a peaceful and relaxing 9 day vacation in this comfortable house. The gardens are gorgeous and lush. Carlos and Gisela were kind and very helpful. We hiked along the river daily and climbed the hill behind the house. Beautiful birds and butterflies and the sound of the waterfall was so peaceful. We used the grill three nights, and I cooked several meals and found all the equipment necessary. The new supermarket had all the spices and salad ingredients, etc., that we wanted. We never missed the a/c. We took trips to the beach. We will definitely be back!

Car: recommended

Super birding, great for hiking and exploring. Many of the areas professional tour guides bring people right by the house. Area has beautiful flora and fauna. Kids love the river by the house and have lots of room to run and play. Great beaches nearby such as El Palmar for a change of scenery. Some area attractions are the zip line, zoo, hiking to sleeping indian and many more.
