Paradise in Nicaragua! Beautiful Oceanfront Home

Beautiful home ON the ocean. This is in a very exclusive part of Nicaragua, with a private beach that goes on for miles. There is a private swimming pool which lies just feet from the white sand. Great beach break in front of the house with NO CROWDS and PLENTY of great waves both beach and reef breaks in surrounding area.

We have a nice outside dining area that is covered and overlooking the ocean and pool. There are also hammocks outside where you can relax and enjoy the ocean breeze!

Pochomil is a very relaxing, low key town. Neighboring town, Masachapa, is a fishing village with restaurants and entertainment worth checking out. You can also have Lobster dinners delivered to the house for VERY cheap.

We have a full kitchen and an on-site COOK, who will prepare all of your meals, for an additional charge.

This is a spectacular location for a family vacation or just the adventurous type. With great surfing and unforgettable views, this is a place that will serve memories for a lifetime!

Paradise found

We just returned back to Canada this morning and could not wait to write a review on this property. We (family of 4) could not have asked for better, more relaxing vacation away. Luis was a God send, eager and happy to drive us anywhere for groceries, day trips and for fresh fish/lobster. Lesbia was a must for anyone considering renting this house. She cooked for us, did laundry, cleaned and became makeshift mom/grandma to us. Her and Luis made a birthday celebration to remember for our daughter, who turned 10. Ballooon on every pillar, and in the pool. Special meals all day, just wonderful all around. Pool was cleaned everyday, food was fresh, local and delicious and everysunset, magical. As a family, we felt safe, road horses on the beach, bought from the locals and left some toys and clothes for the locals. This was an adventure and not for you if you only do all inclusive resorts. An adventrue we all cried leaving behind. Jaimie was quick to respond to any questions leading up to the trip including the day of our arrival with a 'have fun' message that included Luis' mobile number just incase. 10/10 for our family from Canada, we miss our new friends already!

Amazing and relaxing beach house

My partner and I were looking for a super relaxing beach vacation with our 15mo son and that's exactly what we found here. The property and house were absolutely wonderful. There was a pool in the front yard that we used night and day. The house also comes with surfboards and I frequented the break that was steps from the house. We also can't say enough good things about Luis, the caretaker. He was so helpful with bringing us to and from the airport amongst other things. All in all our trip was absolutely amazing and we cannot wait to rent this house again. Such wonderful memories were made here on this trip. If you are questioning if you should rent this house... this is your sign... yes!

Best vacation house ever

Luis, caretaker, and Lesbia, chef, were both more than perfect. Surf break out back was awesome, 2-3 ft to 4-6 ft while we were there, always offshore winds. Separate kitchen house and separate third bedroom keeps things quiet for late sleepers. Pool never got too hot even with all 90+ degree days. Gated, safe, off the beaten path, quiet, can’t recommend any higher!!!!!

Enjoyed our Stay at Pochomil

Overall, we had a nice stay in Pochomil. However, there were a few things I wish I would have known about the property prior to booking, which may have influenced my selection. I must first begin by saying that the services provided by Jamie, Luis & Lesbia were top notch! If the review alone were on their services it would be an easy 5/5. Jamie was quick to respond, helpful, and thorough in his responses to questions. Luis was excellent - he was on time in picking us up at the airport, open to driving us wherever (including a day trip to Granada and the volcano before taking us back to the airport the following day). It was also a huge help that he was quick to oblige in driving to town to pick up groceries multiple times during our stay. Lesbia was an excellent chef and cooked for our group of six 3 days. The meals she prepared were absolutely delicious local cuisine, with extremely reasonable prices. These three provided top notch customer service! Although I could tell the property had newer painting in some rooms, it could certainly use some updates. The one piece of information I wish I would have realized before booking, and what is not clear from the pictures, was how close the houses would be on either side of this property. Both sides had houses within 1-2 meters of the property, making it not as private as I had hoped. Otherwise, I found most of the pictures on the website to be accurate (it is right on the beach, the swimming pool was pretty well maintained & appeared as advertised, and the rooms had most of the furniture and beds pictured) the bedrooms could use some attention. The beds were adequate, but several years old. The pillows were noticeably used & flat, and the sheets and towels provided were quite basic. The level of cleanliness in the bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen was was not great. In the bedroom on the first level there were cobwebs and dirt in the corners (the same with the kitchen - although it is a separate building about a meter behind the main structure of the house which explains it). The air conditioning units made random clunking noises in two of the bedrooms, making it challenging to sleep at night (it was pretty warm with little wind at nights during our stay). Although these were not major issues, for the price paid, I did not expect to find this. In general, we had a nice time. Jamie, Luis & Lesbia made Nicaragua a great experience for our group. With a little TLC I would recommend staying here.

JackPot (for us - so if you're like us, you'll LOVE this place!)

I have never been so inspired to write a review (and simultaneously wondering if I should - do I really want you to know how great this place is? Because i'd prefer to have it available for every time - which will be often - that my family wants to go :)). This is not an overly fancy place. Nica Beach House is more rustic, perfectly comfortable, and has the RIGHT luxuries prioritized: the amazing food (if you have Lesbia cook for you) and the pool (pristine, perfectly big, perfect temperature and shade, wonderful for kids and adults). Luis takes wonderful care of the property and it was clean and perfect for us. I'll upload my photos as soon as I figure out how so you can see for yourself. We went as two couples (parents, grandparents) and two small kids and it was all sorts of perfect for us. We will be back so often the caretakers will know us better than the owners :P. I want to eat Lesbia's food every day. One small area for improvement: It's hot. Nica Beach house recognizes that and has air conditioners in the bedrooms - but two of them need maintenance. And the balcony and ground floor could use fans.

Amazing

The Home was better than advertised, Jamie was more than helpful throughout. Luis is a lifesaver I would not drive in Managua or the unmarked back roads without Luis, and I have driven many places. Be sure to have Lesbia cook for you when there AWESOME. Luis's brother owns a pizza place and it was soooo good, Luis even picked it up for us. You are about a 15-20 min walk down the beach (go at low tide) from Pochomil hotel (1st restaurant )then Pochomil is say 5-10 past that.. Very quiet Beach if that's what your looking for, which we were. Place is great highly recommend

Definitely Paradise in Nicaragua!

This beach front home far exceeded our expectations. It is very remote and a bit rustic but that adds to the allure and makes it extra special. I travelled with my wife and 2 kids ages 2 and 4. Luis met us at the airport and drove our car back to the house which is highly recommended. He'll take you to Pricemart (costco) to get your staples for the week which is a must. It was our first time in Nicaragua and we felt very safe but Luis made it so much more comfortable as he's a really enjoyable guy to be around and a wealth of knowledge. We hired Luis' sister Lesbia and her cooking was incredible! I wouldn't recommend renting without her. They have a brother that can get you the freshest red snapper I've ever had. We also bought lobster which she prepared and flounder for fresh ceviche. The house itself was about a 10-15 minute drive down a dirt road from Pochomil/Masachapa. We typically spent most days surfing, lounging in the pool and playing on the beach which can get hot and windy depending on the time of day. Lot's of sun and shade around the pool. It's not a luxurious home but very comfortable, the privacy, exclusiveness and staff are probably the most appealing part. It was very casual as we pretty much lived in our bathing suits. It made for longer days and more time in the water as we didn't have to get ready for lunches and dinners. The beach campfire was so unique and nothing we had done before in the south, the kids loved it. If your into surfing this is a great spot away from the crowds. Luis is an excellent surfer and always up to join you. He'll even give you lessons if your a beginner so a great spot to learn. There are better breaks within driving distance but it was so convenient being able to walk out from the house. It was a family vacation with the bonus of being able to catch a few waves and not spend the whole day away from them. We stayed in San Juan Del Sur for the last 4 nights, I've you've never been it's worth checking out but not nearly as authentic as Pochomil. It made us truly appreciate how great our stay was at this beach house. Tips: - Rent a decent car - Hire Lesbia - Get fresh seafood - Order pizza from Luis's and Lesbia's other brother! - Bring clothes, shoes, baseball gloves, etc. There is a lot of poverty and the country is still very much developing if you can bring items with you to give away the locals appreciate it very much.

Multileveled house with lots of space to relax .

My husband and I, our daughter, her husband and our two grandchildren spent two wonderful weeks at the beach house. We arrived from Toronto Canada on a direct flight into Managua where Luis met us at the airport. We rented a vehicle and put him as the primary driver and he became our chauffeur for the next two weeks. The house is on a very isolated stretch of beach . Don’t let the waves intimidate you. The ocean is amazing as is the pool . We hired Lesbia to cook for us and she brought out all kinds of wonderful things. Our grandchildren can be picky and so she also made things for them that they liked. We would recommend this place highly but remember it is a rustic Beachhouse . You will not find any tourists there maybe a few horses and the odd pig . It was an amazing learning experience for us especially our grandchildren .

Wonderful family vacation spot

Our family, including 3 boys ages 11,10, and 4, had a great time at this house. It truly was paradise. The view was amazing, the pool was perfect, the landscape beautiful, and the beach was amazing. It was secluded, quiet, just simply perfect! Luis helped us with anything we needed, he took me to get groceries, answered all our questions, he is so nice. Plus his sister Lesbia is an outstanding cook, she made us huge meals with the best sauces I have ever had. Definitely a place we would like to back to! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Disappointed

Owner before advertising his property probably, must know the difference between private beach and community.Be prepared to share beach with dogs, horses, pigs, and piles of garbage. And something happened with white sand. May be it was washed by ocean? Or wrong time of the year? Beside that "newly renovated house" looks pretty obsolete inside,not seeing touch of the brush for many years. No comments about appliances. View breathtaking, air fresh, caretakers friendly.

Unforgettable memories, friendships and adventures.

To stay in this magical surf Hacienda is like being welcomed into a family. It was very hard to leave this beautiful slice of paradise. Luis and Lesbia, the brother and sister team that guide, feed, take care of, welcome, chauffeur and educate the guests that stay here are like gold. The authentic meals and personal food requests were delicious and healthy and fruitful to say the least. The knowledge of Luis with regard to surf spots, the surrounding areas, and nuggets of advice were welcome and helpful. The property was very clean and beautifully maintained. Our group included grandparents AND kids and this place did not disappoint! It had hammocks, a big pool, comfy seating areas, enough bathrooms and plenty of seats at the dining table (al fresco!) to make this thanksgiving an unforgettable experience for our family. Luis was always around to drive us, answer questions, arrange activities (he knows practically everyone, we started calling him the Mayor;) which made this vacation so effortless. And his sister Lesbia needs to put out her own cook book, she’s such a gifted chef. The owner of the property was wonderful to interact with and was very responsive. We truly left our hearts in Pochomil.

Even better the second year in a row!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was our families ( 3 adults and 4 kids: ages 15, 10, 7 and 3 years old) second time at this fabulous house and the entire trip exceeded our expectations again!!!!!! For the relaxing days at the house- the pool was always crystal clear and was maintained by Luis. The miles and miles of walking on the beach and collectin sea shells- who could ask for anything more. If you want to stay at the house and just relax: everything is there for your comfort- beach toys , floaties for the pool,hammocks to swing in relax, boogie and surf boards. The beach is only a step out of backyard, where we saw many turtles come onto the sand to lay eggs. Secluded, is the best way to describe the beach- there was NO one ever on the beach. ***each bedroom/suite in this house has air conditioning and a full washroom. The linens and the towels are all provided. There are any different sitting area throughout the house: 2 sitting areas and two table ares on the main floor. Upstairs there is a outdoor couch set for a sitting area and a table and chairs. However, if you want to adventure through the country, Luis is always willing to help out in whatever you want to do. We did many days trips into different towns and went to the active volcano during the night- its worth the 15 minutes that they only allow you to be at the top of the volcano. San Juan Del Sur is a definite must for the surfing and the restaurants on the beach. I cannot praise Luis enough, whatever we asked him to do he wouldn't hesitate - from running into town to buy ice, driving you husband to the gym every morning and to getting his wonderful wife to bake my mom a delicious birthday cake. Luis, definitely looked after us and treated us like part of our family and now we think of him as part of our family. Luis, taught all of our kids how to surf. Our kids all looked forward to seeing Luis every morning, watering the plants or cleaning the pool. I wouldn't stay anywhere but Pochomil in Nicaragua , it is off of the beaten path of the tourist and it's absolutely beautiful. I would come back year after year. The owner, Jamie, is very helpful and answers all of your questions before and during your trip. Thank you, Jamie for letting us rent your fantasic home and thank you Luis for helping us have a relaxing but adventurous family vacation. Our family will definitely be coming back to this house for another vacation.

Unexpected paradise for 3 weeks

Booking this house right from the start was a excellent experience. Jamie answered every single question I sent to him and had lots of suggestions on how to spend our time in Nicaragua. Luis met our family (my husband, our 4 kids- 14,9,6,2, my mom and I) at the airport and we felt like we were being met by a family member. Luis helped my husband through the process of retrieving our rental van and then we were off to the house in the pitch dark. We drove down a bump gravel road and Luis opened up the large gate to the property . Luis stopped the van and our kids ran towards the house in the darkness- all I heard was my boys yelling this house is the best house!!!!!! I walked through all the flowering trees and heard the ocean crashing and felt a sense of ease. The main floor is all open and u can see and hear the ocean from anywhere. There are two large sitting areas and a large table that we fit 6 ppl at- which Luis shared lots of family suppers w us. There is also another beautiful wooden table which sits 4 ppl. There is a full bedroom(queen bed and full washroom) w air conditioning. On the second level there is a separate full bedroom(queen bed and washroom) w air conditioning. Then there is a large separate apartment style room with a bedroom(queen), full washroom, w a huge living room- full sofa set and futon this entire space has air conditioning. The upstairs has a lanai that covers the back of the house, which has a full sitting area and hammocks that overlooks the ocean. There is so much to do at the house and steps out of the backyard. Luis kept the pool absolutely perfect for us. The walks every morning on the beach to masachpa and back became a beautiful routine collecting shells. It then became a mission to collect sand dollars whenever we saw them. Luis was absolutely awesome w everything and never hesitated to take us anywhere-he drove us to Mangua, Leon, Granada, SAn Juan del Sur. Luis taught all of us to surf, he even saved my 9 year old from drowning while he was surfing. Luis took us to the beautiful waterfalls twice, which was a breath taking experience. We bought fish from his brother on several occasions. It was my moms birthday while we were on our vacation and Luis's wife baked my mom a cake that she will always remember. Everyday we were there we saw turtles on the beach laying their eggs, AMAZING!!. Luis also made it Possible for us to have a bomb fire on the beach. U r off the beaten path. Experiences=unforgettable!!!!!

Top Notch

The beach, the house, the pool, the food, the cook and the helper were all top notch. The cook, Lesbia, who can be hired at a very reasonable cost, is so worth it. She cooks whatever food you’ve bought in a variety of ways with a variety of tasty sauces. We found it so wonderful to not have to figure out meals, prep and prepare, and were able to enjoy happy hour on the balcony to watch the fabulous sunsets. Luis, helped in so many ways (ordering taxis, driving our u-drive, shopping with us, bought our fresh fish, shrimp and lobster for us from local fishers). His flexibility and openness was so appreciated and his driving skills excellent. Fresh fruits and vegetables can also be purchased locally. The private pool is wonderful. It’s cleaned daily by Luis. It’s so refreshingly cool for all hours of the 30C daily high temps, plus it’s a great place to visit with each other. The house has 3 bedrooms, with separation to allow for privacy. It has a number of outdoor seating areas for dining, visiting or private reading. The WiFi is excellent. We had power outages that lasted for brief periods only; affecting a broad region (not just the beach house). It’s in a beach house area and has roving nighttime security. The beach: endless, very few people on it, local fishers at low tides, sea shells galore. Swimming in the ocean in front of the beach house is best at low tide in order to be aware of rocks to either side. Although it’s in a stretch of beach houses, it is a 30-40 minute walk (depending on your pace and the tide) to the village of Pochomil by walking along the beach. Supermarkets are considerably further distant and require a vehicle (u-drive or by local taxi) to access. The sunsets are spectacular! We had a fantastic lengthy stay at Nica Beach House.

A Special Place

One cannot say enough great things about the beach house. Luis and Lesbia are great. We show up with some groceries from the Pali in San Rapheal (hit a bigger store if at all possible) and the next thing you know Lesbia has whipped up an incredible dinner with what we had brought in. Luis would pick up fish and lobster and we would have that for dinner and fish tacos the next day at lunch. The property was clean and well maintained. The pool was great. AC in every room. Wifi and TV(not that you need them) were available and working. Hammocks in the shade and sunsets every night. The beach was expansive. Go a few 100 meters south and there is nothing but surf and sand for 40km. Not a soul in sight. Easy to get to from Managua but felt like a world away. Luis was incredibly responsive to any questions. Lesbia would just laugh at our Spanish. Great pools at low tide and regenerating waterfalls with every break of the waves. The owner was quick with responses to all our questions. We highly recommend this rental if you are in Nicaragua.

Awesome

What a fantastic place. Perfectly off the beaten track but not too far from Managua, Pochomil is the perfect getaway spot. Luis was waiting for us at the airport, organised our car hire and drove us to the coast, couldn't have been easier. Luis was a star throughout, nothing was too much trouble and he came surfing with us everyday, showing us new spots when the beach break in front of the house was a little heavy. He also took us for fresh fish and lobster (via his brother) and lovely fruit and vegetables. They were all transported back to Lesbia who would magic them into fresh cerviche or fillets for lunch and dinner. The kids adored Luis and Lesbia and the holiday just wouldn't have been the same without them! Nothing was too much trouble and waking up to fresh coffee, fruit and the sound of waves crashing is exactly how the day should start. The villa itself is perfect, the pool maintained beautifully and a direct walk onto the expansive beach. The broad beach is sandy but with lots of shells to collect and rock pools to explore. Just perfect to wonder along. We will definitely be back.

What a vacation!!

My family of 6 (four boys ages 3-8) just had an amazing week in Nicaragua!! The home is wonderful - right on the beach and has a great size pool. The property is clean and safe. We just loved Luis and Lesbia!!! The boys were never bored - digging in the sand, jumping in the waves, collecting shells and sand dollars, swimming in the pool, naps in the hammocks, eating Lesbia's wonderful cooking, riding ATVs with Luis down the beach, horse back riding, running into town to buy fresh fish, building a bond fires at night or trying to climb the palm trees for cocos!! The beach is almost empty and the sunsets are amazing! Jamie was very kind and easy to work with. Luis took us to two different days trips and really showed us around. We brought clothes and school supplies and were able to distribute them at the local school. Looking for a special vacation - this is your spot! Hope to return next year!

Wonderful Place

We vacationed here for a week and couldn't recommend it more. It's your own piece of paradise. We literally had the beach mainly to ourselves all week. Occasionally you'd see another couple or some locals walking by, but otherwise it felt like your own. The place itself is great. Each of the bedrooms are nice and we would have been comfortable in any of them - it was one thing we were curious about as we couldn't see them in the pics, but glad once we arrived. Great 2nd floor deck were we spent almost all our time if we were not on the beach, in the pool, or stuffing our faces with Lesbia’s cooking. Property is well maintained, pool taken care of everyday by Luis and we had no complaints. Speaking of Luis, he’s great and was there for anything we needed. Ice for our drinks? Don’t worry enjoy yourself, I can go pick it up for you. Volcano tour? Let’s go tomorrow morning. Fresh fish? Let’s go visit my brother. He makes it a mission to make sure you have a good experience and he achieved it with us. On that subject I would also highly recommend taking advantage of Lesbia’s cooking. In generally the idea is wonderful, wake up and meander downstairs at your leisure, Lesbia is ready with a plate of fruit and the breakfast of your choice. Enjoy the waves and beach until your stomach starts to rumble a bit, walk up and there’s lunch waiting for you. Little afternoon siesta and a beautiful sunset walk and dinner’s waiting on your return. Not to mention on top of all that convenience is delicious food. Every meal we left holding our stomachs we were so full, but not wanting to let any go to waste. GET THE FISH! I don’t generally like seafood, typically I tell people I’m allergic because it’s just easier, but I loved the snapper she made us. We ended up having it three out of the 7 nights. I’ve probably eaten fish 3 times in the past 7 years before that. All in all a great vacation and a beautiful country. You will not be upset if you go!

AWESOME VACATION

We vacationed two weeks at this beach house with another couple. The location is ideal being on a beach where you can walk for miles each way. We were lucky enough to witness a sea turtle lay her eggs in the sand right out front the house. There are several beach bars/restaurants within 1/2 hr walking distance with lots of activity happening on the weekends. There are horses and ATV's that you can rent from locals on the beach. The house has lots of outdoor living space and the bedrooms have a cottage-like feel but equipped with much needed air conditioning for sleeping. We utilized Luis as our driver who picked us up at the airport car rental and stopped and helped us purchase groceries on the way back to the house. We used him throughout our vacation to take us on day trips and daily fish and fruit market purchases. It was great having someone know where to find things and translate for us. We also hired Lesbia to do all our cooking. She truly is a master chef. We had the most tastiest meals throughout the trip. We gave her free reign to prepare whatever she wanted and we were never disappointed. Lesbia would give her grocery list to Luis and we were pampered for the entire two weeks never having to wash a dish. That's what being on vacation is all about. We have done extensive travelling to various locations in Central America but this was the first time we hired a driver and a cook. Unfortunately now, the bar has been set high and we'll be looking for vacation rentals offering these same services. The Nicaraguan people are very friendly and appreciative of any business you give them. Jamie, the owner, was very helpful and quick to respond to any email questions we had. We truly enjoyed ourselves and can definitely see us returning.

Dream family vacation!

We looked at MANY vacation homes during our search. In all honesty, the only reason we picked this property was due to the feedback left by other visitors about Lesbia and Luis. We can honestly say that our experience exceeded our expectation. During our visit, Luis took us to buy fresh fish from his brother, fresh live lobster from another friend in town, on a volcano tour (absolutely breathtaking), and several other excursions for food and other necessary items. He climbed coconut trees for a refreshing drink for the kids, helped us rent ATVs (they came right to the house), lit a bon fire on the beach at night, and even washed the rental car before we had to return it. We met his family and received a delicious assortment of home made desserts by his wife (a professional baker). His English is remarkable for someone who was born and raised in the small town of Masachapa. Luis was awesome! Then there is Lesbia (Luis' sister). We were astonished by the food this lady was able to put out on the table from her modest kitchen. Every morning we had pancakes (for the kids), fresh local fruit, eggs, and local coffee. For lunch we had variations of rice, beans, sandwiches, fruit spreads, and more. For dinner (during our stay) she prepared grilled chicken, awesome steak, amazing fresh ceviche (from Luis' brother), fried fish, fish tacos, and best of all grilled fresh spiny lobster! Lesbia's assistance is what made our vacation feel like a true vacation. She even did laundry for us and folded everything! Seriously! We walked along the beach several dozen times during our week I can honestly say that this house is perfectly situated in Pochomil Viejo with the BEST lot. The best surfing spot was directly in front of the house. To the right there were several rock formations that the kids loved to explore during low tide. There was lots of sea life in and around these rocks: coral, fish, crab, and an awesome bounty of seashells. During high tide the kids used the heck out of the pool which was always in pristine condition thanks to Luis' daily maintenance. The house was great, although we did not spend much time in it. The 2 hammocks got far more use. Each of the 3 rooms was air conditioned and had a full private bathroom. The main room had a TV which I don't think we even turned on during our week there. The wifi was awesome for a developing country. We were able to send pictures to family and stay in touch. We are looking forward to a return trip.

A Hidden Gem

We have just returned from a month of rest & relaxation at this awesome Nica property. The pool was fantastic, and the proximity to the ocean was amazing! However, the absolute best advantage of this property over other properties are Luis and Lesbia! Although they started out being the caretaker & cook, they ended up to be great friends. Luis met us at the airport & took over all the driving, grocery buying, touring, ATV rentals, surfing lessons, fishing, and overall problem solving. Without his help, this vacation would not have been the same! Lesbia is an absolutely fantastic cook and one of the sweetest people I know. Every meal was better than the last! Coming from the Midwest, we enjoyed seafood almost everyday. She also took care of all the laundry and cleaning. But what I will miss most about Lesbia is her beautiful smile and her kindness! This brother/sister team are the best! The accommodations are not luxurious but adequate. But as was stated in a previous review, who goes on vacation to sleep! Actually, I think most of my sleeping was done in one of the hammocks or pool chairs. The Internet was fantastic, & we easily kept in touch with our families. The beach was incredible.....private & great surf! Although I am not an ocean swimmer, it was greatly enjoyed by other members of our group. My favorite activity was the pool...always refreshing & well-maintained by Luis. From the pool, you have a great view of the Pacific! So, as the Nebraska winter continues to rage on, we are keeping warm with our wonderful memories of our Nicaraguan trip! Thank you, Jamie, for being so helpful along the way! We look forward to returning someday!

Wonderful time, weather, and view!

We just got back yesterday from renting this beautiful house. We stayed two weeks and had An amazing time. We spent most of our time in the pool, laying on the beach or relaxing on the top terrace listening and watching the ocean. It truly is a slice of heaven. The sunsets are surreal and you have the perfect view. We had Lesbia cook for us all but 2 days. We enjoyed everything. Luis the caretaker is super helpful and took us a few places we wanted to go. Transfer from the airport to house was painless. I have only one con. It would have been nice if the upstairs bedroom had a queen bed. We kind of figured it for the master and were a little bummed about that. But who goes on vacation to sleep!? Thanks Jamie for allowing us to rent such a beautiful place!!!

Just Like Livin' In Paradise

We had a great time! Luis and Lesvia exceeded expectations at every turn. We arrived Christmas day and Luis met us at the car rental counter and drove us home while Lesvia put on a feast for the first night - pretty sure alchemy was involved; it was so simple and yet fantastic. Luis taught both of our kids to surf and no matter what we asked about, he seemed to know someone who could hook us up. My son loved deep sea fishing and everyone else enjoyed eating the red snapper, grouper and tuna we caught. Somehow, Luis found lobsters and French champagne for New Year's Eve for the adults while Lesvia made pizza from scratch for the kids. We never ate out but with fresh squeezed mango/papaya/orange juice, the freshest fish and various local dishes prepared by Lesvia, who needed to? Luis even scaled the palm trees to get each of us our own fresh coconut to sip and then Lesvia made ice cream from the rest though I personally suggest adding some of the 7 year old Flor de Cana, grabbing a hammock and watching the sun set. Definitely recommend taking a day to have Luis take you to the Masaya volcano and jungle zip line. Now that we're back in the sub-zero snow of another Midwestern Winter, we're already thinking about our next trip.
