For a day at the beach with buckets and spades or water sports in mind, head to the long sandy beach at nearby Praa Sands (3 miles) or Hendra Beach (2.5 miles). The historic fishing harbour of Porthleven (2.5 miles) is worth visiting and offers a sandy beach. The Cornish Seal Sanctuary (10 miles) has everything you need to know about the sea life and Trebah Garden (14 miles) offers a lovely walk around a subtropical botanical garden that showcases what makes the climate here so special.
