Plan a stay at our little cowboy cottage to enjoy the rich history of the Fort Worth Stockyards!
Our house was built in the Victorian Cottage style in 1907 - in the same year the historic Cowtown Coliseum was built. This historic neighborhood began development in 1902 with the arrival of the Armour and Swift Meat Packing Plants. The Reid House is located 3 blocks from the front door of Billy's Bobs Texas, and an easy walk to all the shops, restaurants, livestock events and night life along Exchange Avenue. This district is located very conveniently just 2 miles from downtown Fort Worth, Sundance Square and just 3 miles from the world-renowned museum district, Fort Worth Botanical Gardens, Will Rogers Complex, Dickies Arena and Texas Christian University Campus. Business travelers enjoy this convenient getaway location from the hustle and bustle of downtown. Come home to an afternoon on the porch, great private back deck or stroll down to Exchange and Main for a lively place to enjoy dinner or a rodeo or concert. So whether you are here for business or pleasure or both, this location is excellent!

Great Place

Close to the stockyards!

We stayed here to have extra space for our daughter, son in law and grandbaby! Attended a wedding at the Drover and was able to walk to the stockyards! Great Host!

Great Stay!

We spent a weekend here with friends, and will definitely be back! Great house, super clean and comfortable, all the amenities we could have wanted! Within walking distance of the Stockyards! We found it to be a great value for two couples, and much more fun than a hotel, and we had a lot of room to be together and hang out with the living room, kitchen and beautiful deck! We were sad to leave Sunday morning!

Perfect spot for the Stockyards.

Great location for the Stockyards. The house was clean and decorated with a great western theme. We had issues with the house cooling enough for us (I like it to be pretty chilly when I sleep) and Ashlee was quick to respond as well as providing us nice fans that did the trick. We would definitely stay here again!

The house was lovely. Very nicely furnished and comfortable. It has everything you could possibly need during your stay. The back deck is really nice and during our stay the backyard smelled like honeysuckle! The house is just a few minutes walk to the Stockyards. It was just ideal for our trip. Had a great experience and would definitely return.

Great little spot for a weekend at the stockyards

A short 4-day trip for the annual HV FW Stockyards Longhorn sale at River Ranch. This place was just a short walk to Billy Bobs and the Stockyards. Had a great time with our daughter and her boyfriend buying and selling Longhorns and taking in all the Stockyards has to offer. The home is a simple turn of the century little farmhouse that had comfortable beds and a cool place to escape the 98 degree heat of the weekend! Would stay here again.

Cute place, good location

Overall, the place worked great. It was clean, and fairly close to everything. A DVD player and a toaster would have been helpful for us. We are a family of 5, kids ages 7, 8, and 9. The rodeo was awesome Saturday night, museums were great.

Stockyards Getaway

This house was great for our family weekend. We could very easily walk to Billy Bobs and all the great shops in the Stockyards. When we had to reach out to the host about something that was not in the house, she answered immediately and fixed the problem. The only thing about this house is the neighborhood. We did walk late at night home from the Stockyards but a section of the walk is not lit and a bit sketchy. There were four adults in our party, so all was fine, but I might not have been as comfortable doing that walk with a smaller group and/or with only women.

Excellent Stay Perfect Location

We stayed here for a long weekend to go to a Cowboys game with some friends and this place was an amazing stay! It’s just a few short blocks from the stockyards and an easy walk. Super close to restaurants, bars and shopping. Easy access to the major highways and all Fort Worth has to offer. The neighborhood is a little rundown but it is an older part of town. We (2couples) walked back and forth late night with no issues. The house is just as described and pictured. The rooms are good sized, beds comfortable and the fast internet was nice. We even used the grill on the deck and everything worked great. Street parking was easy and right in front of the house. Ashlee was quick to respond and even got us in early. I highly recommend this place and will be staying again!

Great getaway

This little house is cozy, clean, and comfortable. Ashlee the host was on top of communication and was super helpful. Our flight came in early, and she let us check in early, which was amazing. Some of the reviews put the house in a little sketchy area and a far walk from the Stockyards. This was not true at all. The stockyards were only three blocks away and we walked to them in just under 10 minutes. We are a group of 50 -60 year old woman so we were not setting any speed records. lol I also felt completely safe walking home from the Stockyards around 10:30 p.m. I highly recommend a stay at this cute little house with rich Stockyard history.

We stayed at FORT WORTH STOCKYARDS 1907 REID HOUSE – DFW/TEXAS to celebrate my mum’s 80th birthday, and it couldn’t have been more perfect! The property was absolutely lovely, spotlessly clean on arrival and beautifully presented. The beds were so comfortable, and there was plenty of storage throughout, which made settling in so easy.It had a real home-from-home feel and provided the perfect setting for our special family celebration. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay it was peaceful, welcoming, and full of charm. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the area! If and when I return to DFW I’ll definitely be booking back in!
