Clean, modern cabin surrounded by nature

Nestled in a peaceful wooded setting, our contemporary 1 bedroom cottage invites you to relax, surrounded by nature and hiking trails. Only five minutes to Cornell and ten minutes to downtown Ithaca.

The wrap around deck provides the idyllic setting for dinners from the grill. A private deck off the master bedroom invites an early morning coffee while listening to the birds or in the evening, relaxing with a glass of Finger Lakes wine by the crackling fire in the chiminea.

Vaulted ceilings throughout, a fully equipped kitchen and many other features including:

The property is surrounded by a public nature preserve with direct access to hiking trails. Our home is located at the end of a long gravel driveway through the woods, about 1500' from the main road.

Guest access:
At the top of the cottage driveway is the front door, giving guests access to main level of the cottage. The cottage basement is storage space, with a separate exterior entrance below the deck.

Interaction with guests:
Our home is on the property, comfortably distanced from the cottage. There is a keypad on the front door for self check-in. However, if you'd like, we would love to greet you and show you around if we are home when you arrive. Also, if you have questions at any point, we are available, so please don't hesitate to call or text.

Amazing property- the hosts truly exceeded my expectations! From the fresh flowers and fruit to the espresso machine, the hosts did a fantastic job providing “extras” to make this a memorable stay!

Quiet cabin living

The place is clean and quiet...all you see is forest when you look out of the windows. Perfect space for new family or couple.

Truly incredible!

An amazing location with fantastic hosts! Never have I felt so welcome staying somewhere, the hosts are so lovely and made the trip away so much more special. The area is absolutely stunning with loads to see and do. The wood where the lodge is nestled is breathtakingly tranquil. If I book another trip to the states, this is where I am staying!! Cannot recommend enough, you'll love it here!

Sleek and Serene

We loved our stay at this modern but cozy cabin in the woods. Only minutes from downtown Ithaca, but hidden away in the woods. The cabin was clean and prepped for everything you need for your stay. We would definitely stay again. Thanks!

This place is nonpareil!!!!! The absolute best.

Aaron and Janelle could not be better hosts. Every detail and appointment was perfect. The wooded setting allows for maximum solitude, and a setting for rest and relaxation. Fresh flowers, a wonderful bottle of wine, coffee extraordinaire, and so much more. We were 5 minutes from Cornell, 10 minutes from downtown Ithaca, and 15 minutes from Ithaca College. If we could give this property and the hosts 15 stars we would.

Well-thought-out accommodations

The cottage was very clean, stocked with goodies (wine, water, milk, orange juice, fruit, soda, yogurt), and all the little touches considered. Janelle emailed me throughout the stay to ensure everything was working out. We really enjoyed our week-long stay here and appreciate the clean, well-thought-out accommodations and extra goodies. We booked another week in a few months to visit our son. We also had little baby frogs welcome us each morning at the stairs as we departed.

Fantastic location and ideal setting!!

We had a fantastic time in Ithaca! The cabin/cottage is very quiet and peaceful. We were lucky enough to see a deer and hear an owl! Very conveniently located with nothing more than 20-30 minutes away (lots to do and see only travelling 5-10 minutes though). The cabin/cottage is very well equipped with everything you could possibly need at your fingertips! Janelle and Aaron are exceptional hosts who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable throughout our stay! Their suggestions of places to visit was very helpful and we loved all of their recommendations! We enjoyed having a coffee on the deck in the morning and a fire in the evening. Our son loved riding his bike around as well exploring in the woods for caterpillars and salamanders! We are already looking forward to our next visit!

Quiet retreat

Had a great stay at the cottage in the woods! Clean, cute and cozy! Janelle and Aaron were so easy to communicate with and provided some lovely amenities including coffee, wine, snacks and a bowl of fruit! Would definitely recommend and will be back!

Awesome Place to Stay

We stayed at this property while visiting Ithaca and the Finger Lakes region to celebrate our anniversary. It was very comfortable and convenient to the sights we wanted to visit. It was exactly as described and we enjoyed our visit tremendously. Janelle and Aaron are great hosts.

Beautiful Ithaca Cottage

My wife and I stayed at this property to celebrate her 40th birthday in Ithaca. The cottage was very comfortable and Janelle and Aaron provided many thoughtful amenities to make our stay even more comfortable- truly above and beyond. The location is outside of the bustle of downtown Ithaca, but within 15 minutes of anything there. We were able to easily drive to the Cayuga Wine Trail, Cortland, and 6 different waterfalls in the area. I highly recommend this property to anyone. Thanks Janelle and Aaron for your hospitality!

My favorite vrbo / Airbnb!

This home is perfect for a relaxing get away, nestled in the woods with all the necessary comforts. The house itself is beautiful with a cozy living room and nice kitchen equipped with the works. My wife and I made delicious lattes with the espresso machine and enjoyed them on the peaceful deck overlooking trees. The bed is very comfortable with all the extra blankets you might need. All the little touches, such as a bottle of wine, Pellegrino, and fruit bowl made the stay extra special. And, you're just a ten minute drive to Cornell/Ithaca and all the fun things to do in town. We are booking again ASAP!! Highly highly recommend.

Perfect spot -- secluded yet near everything

I've been coming to Ithaca for about 15 years to see family and due to COVID decided to rent a separate place for this family visit. This was an ideal spot; in the woods, feels remote but ten minutes from downtown Ithaca. Well equipped, clean, lovingly decorated with comfortable furniture and basic provisions were provided (great coffee!). The deck was perfect for having my small family over (3 people) for dinner; my niece loved the deck for her remote learning (good internet) and I loved the chimnea/fire pit on the rear deck. It was a very relaxing time, and I hope to return on my next annual trip to Ithaca.

Fall in Ithaca

Janelle and Aaron have thought of everything to make sure your stay is comfortable. They left goodies for us in the fridge, including wine and fruit. Also provided great suggestions for the location. The cabin was perfect. We enjoyed a nice fire on the deck after a day of exploring. Aaron even gave us some of their homemade syrup. Would highly recommend this property. GORGEOUS, clean, quiet haven in the woods--close to Cornell

Why would anyone ever want to stay in a hotel in Ithaca when they could stay in this gorgeous, well-appointed cottage in the woods? Beautiful design and such lovely personal touches--the art, the tulips, the bottle of wine and bowl of fruit--and such a beautiful design. Janelle and Aaron and baby Katherine couldn't have been more welcoming, generous, and accommodating. I was in town to give a talk at Cornell, and this place was just down the road and a haven to come back to (would be perfect for parents visiting a student at Cornell or Ithaca). Great place for work too--high speed internet. It was snowy and cold, but the cabin was cozy, warm, and so clean, and Aaron kept the driveway plowed. I worked in the travel industry for 20+ years and have seen many wonderful places, and this was one of my favorites. I can't wait to return.

Excellent clean comfortable retreat

Perfect Nature Getaway

My husband and I stayed here for a week and loved everything that Janelle and Aaron did to make our stay perfect! Both patios are great for enjoying the outdoors (one has a grill, the other a chimenea) and the cottage was just the right size for the two of us. We also loved the coffee and espresso options in the morning! The location is nicely nestled in the forest, but not too far from downtown Ithaca and other Finger Lakes attractions.
