Everything went well from check in to check out. Marc was easy to communicate with during booking and around the time of stay. The location is conveniently between downtown and riverfront. The unit is well equipped.
Great property in a wonderful location!
The apartment was very well located. It was walking distance to the tram, the Sao Bento station, the river, tons of food options and stores. It was clean and had everything we could need. The elevator in the building was a huge plus, especially since we had 4 huge suitcases! There was a self laundry within a 5 minute walk of the apartment too. Marc and Grace were great! Definitely a place we will return to and recommend to our friends and family.
Marc and Grace were great hosts and the apartment is in an ideal location for touring Porto and some of the smaller towns around Porto. Spent a great deal of time walking to the major sights because the apartment is centrally located . Thanks for a great vacation on Marc. We would recommend this apartment to anyone travelling to Porto.
Location central to everything.
We enjoyed this central location. Property fit all needs for two couples enjoying Porto for our first time. We were within walking distance to churches, waterfront, stores and restaurant. Easy access to Douro, ocean, and port caves. We had a magical time. Would stay here again!
Great location, some quirks
I'll start with the pros: great location in the Ribeira, just minutes from the river, the metro, restaurants, the cathedral, etc. The apartment is clean, and the master bedroom is large and comfortable. The landlord is fairly responsive and was able to accommodate a weird check-in time.
The not-perfect: some gaps in communication, although we got everything worked out in the end. You have to be flexible.
The cons: the master is good, the 2nd bedroom fair, the third bed is kind of a joke - it's on a platform over the remodeled kitchen/2nd bath, and open to everything. Although the apartment is billed as sleeping six, I think it would work better with a family rather than three couples. The kitchen is tiny, and not really useful - don't plan on cooking any full meals. The refrigerator is so-so and doesn't have an ice-maker. Overall, the apartment is not very well supplied compared to other places we've stayed - 2 extra rolls of TP for a two-week stay? No salt, pepper, or trash bags? Espresso cups, but no espresso machine? We also had a drain issue, and although the owner took care of it the same day it looked like it was starting to reoccur after a week.
Knowing what we know now, we'd probably stay in a different neighborhood, but if you want to be right in the action and are willing to put up with a few quirks, this apartment might work well.
Thanks for the comments!
We will take into consideration for the future customers. Communication is upmost important element between owner and guests. We could have provided with more supplies if requested. Please next time just mail me, text me or call me! I am available for my guests anytime! Regards M
You are in the historic center of the city of Porto, next to the Zona Ribeirinha. You are almost next to the Palacio da Bolsa, the Sao Francisco and nearby church of Infante Dom Henrique Garden.
