Geweldig!

We had a wonderful time in Mas la Sauterelle. The villa is equipped with really everything you can think off. Very luxury and comfortable.The kids had a great time playing outside in the pool, garden and on the trampoline but also inside there is a lot to do. We really hope to come back one time. Also Aix en Provence is a great city. In the near surroundings of the villa there are plenty of things/city's to visit. Eric is very helpful. No doubt that this was one of our most beautiful holidays.

Beautiful base for Provence

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. The pool was a wonderful escape from the heat and the outside area has multiple seating areas to enjoy the large outdoor space. We also enjoyed the foosball and pool table inside. The owners helped us secure a chef and sitter which enhanced our stay. The home is a short drive to a delicious bakery and gorgeous produce store. It is very close to Aix-en-Provence, although a bit further from the Luberon area. I would recommend staying at Mas Sauterelle.

Parfait !

Nous cherchions une maison où passer 1 semaine en Provence avec 4 ados ... et c était parfait ! La maison est spacieuse, très bien équipée et hyper fonctionnelle. Il y a tout pour d excellentes vacances et souvenirs en famille ou entre amis.

Le Paradis !

Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour dans ce havre de paix mais proche malgré tout des commerces et du centre ville d'Aix-en-Provence. Que de bons moments passés autour de la piscine et des différents espaces de loisirs et de détente qui lui sont adjacent. Sans oublier la cuisine très bien équipée et pratique qui nous a permis de cuisiner de très bons plats et de les savourer sous la magnifique Pergola de la terrassse extérieure. Les chambres étaient spacieuses et propres avec une très bonne literie. Enfin, nous avons fait appel aux propriétaires pour profiter d'un chef à domicile. Celui qui nous a été recommandé nous a ravi par ses excellents plats, sa bonne humeur et son professionnalisme. Pour résumer, si le paradis n'existe pas, nous en étions tout proche au Mas Sauterelle. Bref, une expérience à retenter au plus vite ! :-)

Wonderful

We had a wonderful time in Mas La Sauterelle. The house is as beautiful as it seems in the pictures. It is spacious, with lots of indoor and outdoor spaces. We ate all of our meals outside and spent lots of time in the pool. It was clean, comfortable and roomy and had a beautiful, fullly equiped kitchen. The house stayed cool despite the heat because of its thick walls and impressive shutters. The location was also great, close to shops and about 15 minutes from Aix and close to lots of wonderful attractions. Overall, it was perfect. Eric was also very responsive to all our needs. Merci.

Maison avec beaucoup de cachet, parfaitement équipée, avec un jardin et une piscine magnifiques. Un petit paradis pour les enfants. Emplacement de choix, Aix est à 7km, plages et villages du Lubéron à proximité. Hôtes disponibles et arrangeants. Bref, hautement recommandable!

C'est vraiment une superbe maison. Les chambres sont très bien aménagées.

La description correspond à l'annonce. tout était très propre. Les lits faits à l'arrivée sont un plus. Les conseils reçus étaient bons et suffisants. Les propriétaires sont très aimables. A coup sûr je peux conseiller cette maison. Le chef de cuisine à domicile est aussi très agréable. J'ai une suggestion: Serait-il envisageable de couvrir la piscine ce qui garderait l'eau à une meilleure température... Pour la vaisselle tout est parfait. Il y a justes certaines casseroles et poêle à remplacer. Nous avons passé de très bonnes vacances même si la météo était un peu capricieuse. Il y a beaucoup de possibilités de visite dans la région, aussi pour des randonnées ou pour des villes.

On a passé deux belles semaines dans une maison splendide, décorée avec beaucoup de goût et équipée d'accessoires de qualité. On s'est vite senti comme à la maison. Il n'y manquait rien et on ne trouve pas un seul point à critiquer. On va y retourner.

Un lieu idéal pour se ressourcer

Le Mas Sauterelle se laisse découvrir dans un environnement champêtre, 15 minutes après avoir quitté Aix, Il est décoré avec goût, parfaitement équipé (à la fois pour cuisiner, ou pour les loisirs : un parc d'attraction à lui tout seul), les prestations sont de qualité et fonctionnelles. Différents espaces permettent à chacun d'avoir ses moments de calme puis de se retrouver sous la tonnelle, dans la piscine ou autour d'une partie de ping-pong. Enfin, Eric et Laure sont à l'écoute de leurs hôtes et réagissent avec gentillesse et réactivité lorsque nécessaire (ex : lorsque nous avons eu besoin d'une meilleure connexion internet ou faire imprimer un document le soir à 21H : merci à eux !). Un lieu idéal pour se ressourcer que nous recommandons.

Idyllic, great facilities - perfect holiday!

We have just returned from the most wonderful week staying at Mas La Sauterelle. Eric and Laure were very accommodating hosts and nothing was too much trouble for them. The house was perfectly suited for our two families. Our 8 year old twins loved the trampoline and the swing, my sister's teens and children in their early twenties loved the babyfoot and the pool table. We all loved the beautiful terrace, outdoor eating areas and the fabulous pool. A week of glorious weather added to the overall experience. We took the short bus ride into Aix many times although were equally happy to stay around the pool and enjoy all the house amenities. All of this and only 35 mins from Marseille. We would thoroughly recommend this property and intend to return again soon.

I want to go back!

For the first time ever i have found a holiday villa that I actually consider going back to! 4 families spent 14 fantastic days - playing football, swimming, reading in the garden and eating all meals outside. The house is very fresh, well equipped and maintained. The area is beautiful, we discovered small villages, went to the coast, saw lavender fields - and beautiful Gorges de Verdon. Eric and Laure were perfect hosts - reliable and helpful. Thanks for letting us stay at Mas la Sauterelle!

Wonderful garden, beautiful surroundings

We spent two weeks at the house, with extended family: Kids aged 2-18, and parents. Maybe the best vacation we ever had! In between the quiet days at the house we saw several football games at the Euro 2016. The kitchen is well equipped - there is a blender to make smoothies, and all you need to have a barbecue. If there is one thing that could be improved, it must be the somewhat blunt kitchen knives. The ice cube machine was very popular, as the temperature in the garden was about 30+ almost every afternoon. Lots of things to do - if the kids got tired of trampoline, there was always some other sport equipment to take out from the garden shed. As we live in a much more urban area ourselves, the variety of birds and insects were particularly interesting for the kids. A huge bee swarm passed by the house one day, there were grasshoppers and other insects in all colors in all sizes and colors, and rabbits, bats and lizards (but luckily only a few mosquito, we could sit out in the garden until late without problems). We even thought we saw a hummingbird on one of the garden flowers - it turned out to be a "hummingbird hawk-moth" after doing some research (Macroglossum stellatarum), but still caused a lot of excitement! You really get a feeling of being in the countryside when you are standing in "your own" garden, patting the neighbor's horses on the other side of the fence. The pool was of course the main gathering point - big enough also for the older kids to have fun. If the adults wanted a quiet moment with a book the garden is big enough for that as well. The "Intermarche" supermarket in Venelles is 5 min away with a car - it has a good selection of fresh seafood, vegetables, cheese etc. This was very convenient, and we prepared most of our dinners in the "garden kitchen", instead of going out to eat. Even closer is the bakery, where we could pick up fresh bread every morning. I am back in Norway now writing this, at work, it's 12 degrees and raining. The holiday was wonderful, we all have good memories. the weather was perfect, but what we miss most is the garden and quiet days around the pool. Thanks for having us!

Great!

Wonderful place, highly recommended

We had a fantastic holiday staying at the beautiful Mas la Sauterelle. There were eight adults and two babies, it was our first family holiday in years and it couldn't have been a better choice. The Mas is a stunning place, recently renovated but maintaining its characterful features, and it was very spacious with something for everyone. There were numerous areas to spend together as a family or simply wander off to relax on your own. We loved the kitchen diner area; one of our group commented that cooking had never been so fun! Lots of fantastic appliances, equipment and utensils. The pool is great and there's an outbuilding full of lilos and inflatables for the kids. There's also badminton, ping pong, a soccer or water polo net, and much more to keep everyone entertained. The boys also enjoyed the pool table room. The bedrooms are excellent and the beds are very, very cosy and comfortable. The Mas is around 3-4 minutes from the nearest town of Venelles where there's a mid-size supermarket which suited our needs, and there's a lovely bakery called Boulangerie de Marie Blachère where we got fresh bread and croissants most mornings, the staff were lovely. We ventured out to Cassis for a day (30-40 mins away) and also spent a couple of days in the old town of Aix-en-Provence (15 mins away) which we loved. Big big thank you to Eric and Laure for their help and allowing us to stay in this wonderful place, we will be back in the future!

Une semaine d'exception

Maison magnifique à 15 min du centre ville d'Aix. L'environnement et les prestations sont à la hauteur du descriptif. Nous sommes partis avec 4 enfants de 15 mois à 7 ans qui ont trouvés tout à leur disposition pour s'amuser. Les équipements bébé sont prévus... Laure et Éric sont aux petits soins avec leurs locataires et ce sont occupés de nous trouver une baby-sitter très sympathique. Je recommande vivement cette location.

Excellent property!

We found the house in VRBO and immediately realized it was the best option for us! Happily, we were right! Everything was up to our expectations, the property is beautiful, perfectly located close to Aix and other great destinations, very comfortable and has absolutely everything you can possibly need including a BABY MONITOR! We were pleasantly surprised and also very happy with the service and attention given by Eric and Laura! Totally 100% recommended! Cant wait to be back some day!
