Perfect location for a little getaway. Great view, rite out the window, of the river and boats. Liked the clean, cozy feel of the house. Location was good, centrally and closely located to the locks, casinos, and resturants. Host was great on communication.

Our experience was excellent, easy communication with the host. The home is a warm inviting place with everything we needed. We stayed for a Robotics competition at LSSU. The home was a few miles away, good location. We would like to come back and stay here again.

The house was absolutely perfect for our little wedding getaway. It was spotless when we arrived and fully stocked with everything we needed, which made our stay so comfortable and stress-free. The view was truly beautiful and added such a special touch to the whole experience. It felt cozy, peaceful, and exactly what we were hoping for during such an important time. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate!

Darlene was very responsive answering messages starting with making my reservation until after our stay. She also helpful with a special request once we left to head home. The living room furniture was extremely comfortable, king bed was also comfortable (only used the master bedroom). If you are a pillow snob, take your own pillows. Great place to watch the ship traffic and wild life in the area from the patio or the live room window. It was a cool weather weekend so we did not need any air conditioning, which is only a small unit in the kitchen window. Kitchen supplied nicely, with a drip coffee pot.

Darlene, the property host, was very responsive to our requests and questions. The location is outstanding. We were thrilled to observe freighters going by, but we also spent a lot of time bird watching. Two magnificent bald eagles ate their dinner along the shore across from the cottage. A family of sandhill cranes also walked along the shore, two adults and two colts. Dozens of other species were also present. We rented a pontoon boat, which, ironically, was located two doors down from the home. Cruising around the river was just lovely. Many thanks to Darlene and her husband for sharing this special property with us!!! We love the Soo, and highly recommend a visit. Tons of fun things to do and see, but the friendliness of the locals really makes this an incredible place to visit. We love to travel and sometimes locals do not like tourists, and it shows. Not here!

Great location. It snowed a good bit when we were there the host did great with snow removal they kept a path cleared to the backyard, the front sidewalk and driveway were clear. The house was stocked with all the essentials and was clean. Loved the backyard and it felt really private. Would recommend to other.
