This was our second time staying at the rocky waters cabin and once again we did not want to go home. The hosts have thought of everything you would need and the entire process is painless. It’s a very peaceful experience and we will be back for a third time.

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin! Our group of 7 people and 2 large dogs thoroughly enjoyed the property. The cabin is located on a large private estate, giving everyone plenty of space to relax and enjoy nature.Our dogs absolutely loved the extensive grounds where they could run, explore, and play freely. The men in our family had a fantastic time fishing and were excited to catch several good-sized fish during our stay.The location offers the perfect balance of privacy and convenience. While the property feels secluded and peaceful, it is still close to the charming town of Galena, where we enjoyed several excellent restaurants and local attractions.This was a memorable getaway for our entire family, including our four-legged companions. We would definitely recommend this property and would love to return in the future!Thank you for sharing your beautiful place with us.

Kyle was an extremely welcoming host to my family and I. The property is gorgeous and the seclusion makes the experience very peaceful. My young children had the absolute time of their lives just playing in the lake, walking the property and seeing the wildlife. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. We will definitely be going back again in the future. Bonus- the fishing was excellent!

We’re lifelong residents of northwest Illinois and have spent years building Rocky Waters into a place where family, friends, and visitors can slow down, reconnect, and enjoy the beauty of the outdoors. We enjoy spending time with family, fishing on the lake, relaxing around a campfire, traveling, and making the most of life in the country.

For nearly two decades, we welcomed guests to Rocky Waters as a winery, where countless memories were made over great conversations and beautiful sunsets. Although the winery chapter has come to a close, we’re excited to continue sharing this special property through The Fisherman’s Cabin and Rocky Waters Estate.

We love hosting because there’s nothing more rewarding than seeing guests unwind, make memories with loved ones, and experience the peace and beauty of our little corner of the world. Whether you’re here to fish, relax, explore the area, or simply escape the hustle of everyday life, we hope your stay is comfortable, memorable, and one you’ll want to repeat.
