Amazing outside spaces, authentic, stylish interiors, & lovely views

Recently renovated to the owners high standards, this is a delightful, stylish cottage is perfect for discovering the Cote d'Or and Burgundy.

'La Petite Maison' offers two stylish bedrooms, two bathrooms and a spacious living area, accommodating 4 people in comfort. Bedroom one has a large double bed (160x200) located upstairs from the living area with its own en-suite shower room. Outstanding views lead across the valley from the Velux window. Bedroom two is down a few steps from the living area, configured with two single beds (90 x 200) and has a shower room opposite for the occupants of this room to use. An enormous picture window in this bedroom looks onto the garden and the view beyond. Both bedrooms have ample storage for all of your belongings. The light bright living area is an open plan, well thought out space with fully fitted, fully equipped kitchen (with dishwasher) dining and lounge area that open out onto a beautiful mature garden with meandering footpaths leading to hidden corners. Two further picture windows in the living room allow the garden indoors with lovely views. Children will love to play hide and seek in this enchanted garden and adults will love to relax on the sunny terrace with a stone table and benches, or the shady alfresco dining area undercover offering protection from the sunshine or the odd rain shower. All areas enjoy the wonderful green view across the valley. A quiet and private location to enjoy the peaceful setting. There is space for two cars to be parked off road.

For our younger guests we can provide a cot (positioned in either of the bedrooms) or a fold away bed for an extra child (80x200). There is also a high chair, stair gate, changing mat, toys, books, DVD's at no extra cost. There is a microwave to make baby food preparation easy, plastic plates and cups along with child sized cutlery. A baby's bath can be easily positioned in the larger downstairs shower room. There is also a washing machine.

To complete your stay, we offer home cooked food that can be delivered to you along with the possibility to deliver daily baked bread and pastries.

Wonderful house in green surroundings

We had a wonderful stay here. Sharon and Grégoire are passionate hosts with a sense of beauty. Thanks to the summer weather, we were able to thoroughly enjoy the garden. The food options are also highly recommended. The location is rather remote, but suitable as a base for excursions to Dijon, the Abbaye de Fontenay, or the MuseoParc Alésia.

Quiet Country Cottage

We had a very enjoyable stay at La Petite Maison! Sharon was a wonderful host and provided us with delicious meals! The area is charming and close enough to the major sites in the area, and close to the Dijon rail station. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Perfect as the picture!

We felt like we really saw France! Stayed in this beautiful cozy cottage in the countryside, close to everything we wanted to see and do, but quiet and restful at the end of our day. Proprietors Gregoire and Sharon made the stay more memorable than we could have imagined - we HIGHLY recommend the chef-prepared meals and the basket of chocolate croissants each morning.

Amazing cottage, beautiful location

We had a fantastic week at La Petite Maison. The cottage itself is perfect, with everything you can possibly need. It is beautifully presented and very comfortable. The views are stunning and gardens are very relaxing. The morning deliveries of bread and pastries, and delicious food prepared by Sharon were the perfect addition to making our holiday relaxing. There are lots of beautiful, interesting places in the surrounding area to visit. We would highly recommend a stay here and also ordering some of Sharon's delicious home made dinners!

Peace and quiet

A well needed break in the beautiful countryside. The gite was as seen in the pictures. Lovely chance to chill out and unwind. Very enjoyable week

Just had a lovely week at La Petite Maison,17-24th June 2017. Sharon and Gregoire are a lovely couple,very helpful and eager to make your stay as comfortable as possible.We enjoyed Sharon's excellent meals on 2 nights and would definitely recommend the Beouf Bourguignon and the Duck au Vin,both are restaurant quality. The house has everything you could need and is very clean and comfortable.The garden is also lovely with different seating areas,including a covered dining space,very useful in hot weather. Sharon gave us tips on where to eat out..La Grange at Flavigny is a must.She also recommended Domaine Flavigny-Alesia for wine,which also proved to be an excellent choice,we brought home some excellent reds from there. Peaceful country retreat

Very nice cottage,refurbished from scratch recently. Excellent attention to detail and clever forethought on the part of the owners mean that the accommodation and facilities make for a most comfortable stay and maximise the enjoyment to be derived from the stunning views over the valley. The secluded garden and its furniture (including a covered dining area and barbecue) would be great in hot weather (unfortunately during our stay it rained incessantly most days!). The cottage was clean and obviously well maintained; it generally conformed to its advertised description, though some might find the upstairs bathroom rather small. The owners, Sharon and Gregoire, are charming, live very locally and are on hand to deal immediately with any problems that arise..On the day of our arrival, we had ordered a dinner to be cooked and delivered by Sharon; this was delicious and saved us going out to find a restaurant, of which there is a dearth locally. Further afield, within 15-20 mins drive, there are a variety of restaurants to suit different pockets and tastes--details are set out in Sharon's instructions in the cottage. We made trips to Beaune (about one hour), Flavigny (including the winery) and Fontenay Abbey (a must), but really enjoyed most of all being at the cottage and drinking in its peaceful atmosphere. We would certainly recommend it with very few reservations.

It really was a shame the weather was so wet during your stay at La Petite Maison. You should return again in the future to see the sunnier, warmer side of Burgundy. Many thanks you for your kind comments about the property. however, It is worth noting for future guests that the dimensions of the upstairs en-suite shower room is approximately 2.5m squared, with a standard shower size of 80cm x 80cm (sliding glass doors), a large wash basin of 30cm x 30cm, a standard toilet, and plenty of light and storage. It may appear smaller due to the sloping ceiling, but is otherwise of normal size. The spacious downstairs shower room is more generous with its proportions (shower is 120 x 90 cm), so our guests have a choice of two bathrooms to use during their stay, which is unusual for a property with only two bedrooms. Regarding the 'dearth' of restaurants in the area you mentioned, I must disagree! There are several to choose from all within 15/20 minutes of the house catering for different budgets and different tastes. If you venture further afield, there are many more on offer. Unfortunately, it is always necessary to drive to these establishments, which doesn't suit everyone, but it was with this in mind that my Husband and decided offer home cooked meals that are delivered to the house. This is hugely successful with our visitors and we receive very positive feedback from this (see reviews for property 801374 as well). New for this year is the introduction of the daily bread deliveries of croissants, pain au chocolats and mini baguettes. Also very popular. We aim to please all of our visitors to the Burgundy hideaways of La Petite Maison and The Barn, but the slow start to the 2016 summer along with a very wet Spring has meant that imagined days filled with sunshine and warmth did not occur as hoped this year.

Goed verzorgd huis op rustige locatie

Dit is het Frankrijk waar je veel over hoort met het platteland wat er verlaten bij ligt. Dorpen en gehuchten waar nog maar weinig mensen wonen. Daarnaast ie de natuur mooi voor fietsers en wandelaars en is er genoeg te zien.

Un séjour reposant tout confort

Le gîte "La petite maison" tenu par Sharon et sa famille est vraiment tout confort. Tout l'équipement moderne, un lieu calme et reposant en pleine nature, et Sharon est aux petits soins avec la possibilité de livrer des plats cuisinés maison. Nous avons vraiment profité de ce moment de détente, dommage que la saison du COVID ait limité les possibilités de visites culturelles. Nous recommendons sans réserve.

Kerst in Le Petit Maison

Deze vakantie woning is niet al te groot maar van alle gemakken voorzien. Wij hebben met kerst en oud en nieuw in de woning gezeten en het heeft ons nergens aan ontbroken. Het huis is aangenaam warm, ook in de winter, alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig en in goede staat. De bedden zijn goed en er is extra aandacht besteed aan goede kussens. Het huis is met smaak ingericht en toch praktisch voor een verblijf met kinderen, of zo als in ons geval met twee honden. Wij hebben een onbezorgde vakantie gehad. Het huis ligt in een klein dorp waar het heerlijk rustig is en waar je heerlijk kunt wandelen en tot je zelf kunt komen. Maar binnen niet al te grote afstand zijn zeer goede voorzieningen te vinden. De gastvrouw is erg aardig,behulpzaam en attent. Kortom, voor ons een ideale vakantie stek!

Had a great stay in this lovely house. Sharon the owner was an excellent host and nothing was too much trouble for her. The house was very well equipped, we wanted for nothing. The bed was super comfy and large and had good linen. The area was really beautiful. There was a gas BBQ outside under a large shaded roof. Lots of beautiful places to visit close to the house. A very calm peaceful experience, much needed! Lots of English channels on the TV if needed. Warm and cosy too. Would have no hesitation booking again.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à "la petite maison" malgré un temps chaotique. Maison agréable, jardin anglais qui incite à la méditation, paresse, lecture.... L'intérieur est rénové, décoré avec goût. La vue sur la campagne est appréciable. Accueil ++ des propriétaires, sympathiques, disponibles avec le petit plus, la proposition de livraison de pain, viennoiseries, ou plats par la propriétaire tous les jours si besoin. Nous recommandons vraiment cette maison :-)

Nous avions choisi cette location pour son calme, les possibilités de visites culturelles aux alentours et l'offre gastronomique en Bourgogne; Tous ces crittères ont été satisfaits et l'accueil des propriétaires parfait. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié le panier de denrées de la région offert à notre arrivée et le service proposé par Sharon de nous déposer tous les matins croissants et baguette. Le Super U de Venarey-Les-Laumes situé à qques kms permet de trouver tous les produits nécessaires à un séjour de vacances. La maison est décorée avec beaucoup de goût, les couleurs très harmonieuses et la litterie de très bonne qualité. Nous espérons avoir l'occasion de revenir dans cet endroit plus tôt en saison pour pouvoir jouir pleinement du jardin. Nous souhaitons bonne continuation à la famille Megret. Ruhe und stilvolles Ambiente

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt im la petite maison. Alles ist so wie auf den Fotos und dem Beschrieb. Sharon war super gastfreundlich und hat wirklich ein Händchen fürs Einrichten. Der Brötchenservice jeden Morgen mit frischen Croissants und Baguettes klappte super und ist zu empfehlen. In der Umgebung gibt es viel zu entdecken und zu sehen. Der Markt in Dijon ist sehr empfehlenswert. Wir können das Haus auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen!! Es ist absolut ruhig! Wir kommen sicher wieder!!

Simply wonderful
