This three bedroom beautiful townhouse style unit overlooks the Sand Castle Lake, and features all the comforts of home. This is the perfect unit for a family vacation. Enjoy all the animals and natural beauty surrounding the lake as you watch the sun set from the comfort of your patio.

There is privacy for four people, while accommodating up to eight guests. The unit includes a full kitchen with service for eight, dishwasher, microwave, washer & dryer, two full baths, one half bath, two televisions, a jacuzzi and lots of room to spread out. Just a 2-3 minute walking distance to the Broad Creek Recreation Center and the Northwest Creek Marina.

For your convenience, guests have a complementary membership for the duration of their stay at the Broad Creek Recreation Center, which just a short walk from this rental location. Daily activities, exercise classes, miniature golf, a basketball court, tennis courts, a playground, an indoor and outdoor pool, sauna and fitness room are part of this complex.

The property is a short drive to Downtown New Bern, which features several outstanding restaurants, boutique shopping and museums. The local beaches are approximately an hour away from this location, but an easy drive.

Included with your rental are items such as dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, bathroom tissue and soap to help you enjoy your stay.

Great Vacation Place

The rental was as advertised. The community was beautiful, and even though we weren’t able to take advantage of all the amenities it was a great place. Would definitely recommend for families. Also the deer came out after the sun went down, we enjoyed riding through and watching them.

Annual New Bern vacation

We booked thr sandcastle unit, which we have stayed in before. Due to an unfortunate pest issue, we were moved to another unit. We always enjoy out time at Fairfield Harbor, I've been coming here since the late 80's and it does not dissapoint. The home was nice but I did not realize it was a condo setting. I did not like having to interrupt my stay by going to the check in office the following morning, since I did not arrive until 7 pm and they cut my door access off at 10 am the following morning.

The only problem I had was with the rec center people they try to charge me to go in there for the day until I go. Get Pass They just played stupid about the passes. They act like they didn’t know what they was and they try to charge me for the day and then had to call the management company I came back with the passes and they said oh you got your passes

Reconsider your rating of unit

Our unit was big disappointment. Needs updating and better care. Especially bathrooms. Air conditioning didn’t work properly. Bath tub couldn’t be used. Stopper broke off. People at front desk were good and said we were not first to complain about this unit. Vrbo was great but this unit was not. Will be cautious about renting again. Will question rating 😟

The prop wasn't bad just very dated. There were a few things that didn't work and they came and fixed then right away. They should screen in the little deck off the back of the property because its very buggy.

Great affordable stay

We had a very nice stay in Fairfield Harbor. The townhome was roomy and clean. We saw a few water bugs inside throughout the week but they were dazed and easy to remove. The view from our living room was attractive. The pond and its wildlife were at a constant glance for all of us. There was also seating on the porch, but a heatwave kept us indoors for the most part. We also wanted to grill during the week but learned the grills were in a common area and not readily convenient to us. The neighborhood was quiet and great for an early morning walk or bike. We beat the heat most days by getting out early. The fitness gym was fantastic. The staff was extremely hospitable. Tennis courts were a plus. The only real (small) detractor was the club pool was extremely warm and not refreshing at all. Maybe a giant block of ice dropped in the pool could have lowered the water temp to below the low 90s. All things considered we had a great stay and would gladly return.

Vacationing in the Bern

My summer rental was clean Beautiful, located in a really nice area. The kids found the pool with ease. We attended The Forth of July pool party. It was fun. I visited my Mother and Brothers in New Been, it was not far from Fairfield Harbor. My trip was lovely, very memorable!! Thank you.

Easy to communicate with the host

My trip hit a snag when my flight got canceled. I was supposed to meet my son for a long weekend while he had liberty. But I didn’t make it. The host was great and my son was able to enjoy the facility without me. I will be in touch again to go down with the rest of my family. Thank you!

Married couples vacation

Renting this property was easy and the rate was very reasonable. The unit is due for some upgrades and could have been cleaned a little more thorughly. But we enjoyed our stay very much. The pool was wonderful and just a quick drive to downtown New Bern. We had a great time!

Awesome for kids!

The kids loved the indoor and outdoor pools. There were lots of things to do on the property for kids. They loved the pond. It had plenty of space for us all. Not far from the beach and lots of fun activities to do there as well! It was a great spot for our vacation! Communication from hosts was also great.

My experience

Everything was great. Neighborhood was very peaceful. Condo was very clean and the office was nice enough to allow my parents to get a key before me because they had got there first. The only thing I did not like was Water bugs. There were alot outside and we really could not enjoy the patio at night. They never got inside the condo. I would recommend this location.

I've been going to Fairfield Harbour for 40 Years

I own a timeshare at Fairfield Harbour across the lagoon from where I rented. I needed an additional unit to my own and one was not available from my management company. The units I own and rented were very similar and acceptable.
