Reviewer Comments: it was a great week. there is visible mildew or mold under the floor. the toilets and fridge are tiny. i missed that there wasn’t a washer and dryer. other than that we had a great time. The mattresses were good .

I think the bathrooms were pretty lean, but it is obvious they do not vacuum under beds and sofas, yet charge these crazy cleaning fees. The pool was nice and the beach area is great.

A delightful Autumn Break in a lovely condo

Reviewer Comments: I was delightfully surprised to really enjoy our stay in Unit 10 because although our family has vacationed at Silver Dunes twice a year for decades, this was the first stay in this condo. (Our usual condo was already booked!)We loved the nicely furnished patio and enjoyed the convenience of easy access to all the amenities. The decor was nice and uncluttered.The managing staff was efficient and pleasant.....even when obviously extremely busy. Our departure was immediately prior to the arrival of Hurricane Michael. The staff was fantastic! Of course,George was as accommodating as usual! Our family loves him. I really enjoyed the plaza area with the comfortable Adirondack chairs....Nice!( One of the stovetop eyes did not function and was reported when we departed.)The kids had a blast!!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Silver Dunes. Our unit was the perfect fit for our family. It was close to the pool and a short walk to the beach, which is great when you have young kids. And having a ground floor unit is a game changer. It was so easy to load up our cart on the patio and walk straight out to the pool or beach. And we loved being able to let the kids run around outside and play with the other kids. We also really enjoyed the family nights that Silver Dunes had planned during our stay, like movie night on the lawn and the s'mores night. Make sure and check the unit's storage area because there were many pool/beach toys in there that we didn't notice until a few days into our trip. I also recommend ordering groceries online ahead of time (we used Walmart) and picking them up when you get into town. And we suggest stopping by Blaylock's to pick up some steamed shrimp to bring back home and eat. Fantastic!

Great facility, but outdated unit

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First time at Silver Dunes for my family for spring break. The facility as a whole is great with the low rise units, courtyard area, and pool. Beach is not crowded as units are low rise so there are less people. Unit 10 specifically was very outdated. Storage in the kitchen was minimal and it did not even have a skillet or pan to cook with. The shower in the master bath was terrible as the shower head constantly moved while you were showering, leading to water getting all over the floor. The couches had cream covers with lots of stains and the living room rug was also dirty. When we went to check on other available units for spring break next year, we were shocked to find that they had increased their price for the same week in 2023 by $1000! Even for the dingy unit we had for this stay. We know families who stay down the road at Edgewater who have bigger, more up to date units and their prices for the same week in 2023 were at least $500 cheaper. Not sure how you can justify almost $3000 a week for a small, worn out condo with little kitchen storage, cookware, and malfunctioning shower.

Convenient, Safe Beach Spot

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband, toddler and I stayed here for a week in October ‘22. Biggest perks are close proximity to the pool and beach- you can easily make trips up and back throughout the day for meals, naps, etc. The property also felt very safe. Laundry and grills were easily accessible. The condo was just fine/perfectly adequate. The bed was fairly comfortable and things were mainly clean. The kitchen didn’t have everything we quite needed to make most of our meals there but did provide most kitchen cookware you would need. Overall recommend silver dunes for the easy access to the beach and pool and family friendly environment!

The refrigerator couldn't keep groceries cold. At this price point I would expect that the quality of the units would be better. I have stayed at Silver Dunes about 15 times in the last 20 years in various units. This was by far and a away the worst one I have stayed in. The complex is still good and I would recommend it to others,but I would tell them not to pick this unit.

I always feel safe and everyone is very nice. The beach is the best you will find anywhere! George is very accommodating and the beach chairs are worth renting for sure! Conventiently located to restaurants and shopping. If you are traveling with your family, this is the place for you!
