Enjoy this charming southern city in an authentic, historic, three story row house built in 1822 by popular master builder Isaiah Davenport. This unit has a private entrance and four bedrooms on the top two floors of this renovated home. Original stained glass windows and 180-year-old heart of pine flooring give this home remarkable character. With over 3,000 square feet of living space, this home can accommodate large groups. The antique dining room table seats 10 and is ideal for a large family dinner. Enjoy the view of the city from the open air deck at the top level of the house. Relax in one of the two jacuzzi baths.

Walk just 3 blocks to City Market and enjoy the shopping and dining at restaurants like Paula Deen's Lady and Sons. Walk only 5 blocks to experience the sights and sounds of River Street and all the entertainment found there.

Located just off of Telfair Square, near the Telfair and Jepson art museums, you can easily walk anywhere in the historic district and explore it square by square. The city Civic Center is just 2 blocks away, and the home is convenient to Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD).

Street parking is available and free on nights, holidays, and weekends. The city parking garage is just across the street.

This two-level unit is spacious and well-suited to extended family gatherings. The lower level includes a bedroom with double bed, another bedroom with queen bed, a breakfast room with balcony, dining room, kitchen, bath, and laundry. The upper level provides a king bedroom, TV room, twin bedroom (2 beds), landing with trundle daybed (converts to two twin beds or a king size bed), spacious master bath and roof-level deck.

Two twin beds, one twin daybed with trundle, one full, one queen, and one king bed provide the sleeping space for 10 guest. Addiionally, a portable pack-and-play crib, toddler's mattress are available for smaller guests.

For more than 10 guests, an additional 2 bedroom suite with a bath, sitting room and kitchen is provided. This adds an additional king bed and full bed to bring the number of guests in beds to 14.

We are a professional couple from Atlanta who decided to invest in a historic Savannah home to help in the city's preservation and also enjoy the joy of this wonderful, charming city.

Why The Owner chose Historic District

Our family fell in love with Savannah when we began to visit the charming city in the early 90s. The transformation of the town from that time to now has been astounding. It is so invigorating to walk the streets and soak in the history and architecture. It truly is a jewel of a city.

What makes this house unique

The 1822 Row House is a large, spacious house so close to all downtown activities. We like to think that it offers a unique mixture of a beautiful, authentically historic house (1822) with tasteful, modern updates (1999 renovation).

Best place to stay in Savannah!

If you are with a large party this is definitely the place to stay for you. My friends and I stayed here for my bachelorette party and had the time of our lives in this house. All 12 of us were able to fit comfortably in the space without feeling too spread out from or too close to each other. This place provides all the charm in the world to make lasting memories during your stay and I would absolutely stay here again. The owners were easy to get in contact with through text and we never had any problems. I would recommend this place to anyone and trust me when I say I am a picky person!

Nice for close knit group :)

Nice house in great location near many historic sites and riverfront. It is on top 2 floors of row house, so you need to be OK with going up and down the stairs a bunch. The place definitely sleeps at least 10 people but there are only 2 bathrooms, so you need to be OK with sharing the bathrooms. Only other weird thing is you have to walk through one of the bathrooms to get to the balcony.... so if someone is shy, they would need to go downstairs to use the restroom if people were gathering on the balcony :)

Grand House, Great Location

Our family enjoyed this spacious, three-story home for four days. We used the house plus rented additional square footage to meet our needs of our large group. The home is so spacious that we didn't hear our grandchildren from the bedrooms they used. The owner was very helpful and made sure our needs were met. On the first day in Savannah we took a bus tour, stepping off and on at various points. Because the house is conveniently located within walking distance to restaurants and eateries, we ate out for lunch and dinner; with only breakfast at the house, even though it has a well-equipped kitchen. If you are new to the area, go to the visitor's center and learn about the parking pass that you can purchase. Also, the house is right across the road from a parking garage, which was also convenient when we did not find curb parking. We appreciated using this house.

A wonderful stay in the heart of Savannah

I needed a large place to host a 20 year reunion with my Army buddies for Veterans Day weekend. This was perfect - lots of space, great rooftop patio, and a short walk to all the highlights of historic Savannah. Compared to other nearby rentals, I thought the price per night was very competitive (and much more affordable than getting multiple hotel rooms for everyone). The owners were very easy to work with - I would definitely return for another visit.

Great location, gorgeous interrior

The location was perfect--mostly "10 minutes or less" from all the spots of interest.

The property was beautiful, historic, and ample in space. Despite the open spaces, it was surprisingly soundproof in the interior. The upstairs patio is sunny and peaceful.

Hosts were friendly and helpful.
