Large Wood Timbers and Stone make Sundance at Fern Mountain an inviting, serene Mountain Top Retreat. Combined with meticulously decorated interiors for ultimate comfort, this home is truly a Rare Gem.

4,900 SF of fully livable space includes 6 bedrooms and 4 full baths. Beautiful, spacious great room with a gas fireplace creates a wonderful, relaxed setting for entertaining. Separate media room with surround sound for movies and gaming lets everyone spread out and enjoy their time. New carpet throughout the house, summer 2025. Sundance was DESIGNED FOR FAMILY GATHERINGS AND CORPORATE RETREATS, and can SLEEP UP TO 12 COMFORTABLY.

A large back deck with a covered dining area makes outdoor entertainment a breeze. Dinner, cocktails, sunrise breakfasts, or afternoon lounging, this is a wonderful place to unwind.

Choose the fire pit or outdoor fireplace with seating (firewood provided May through November) for making s’mores or relaxing under the stars in the evening.

Granite kitchen countertops, upscale appliances and furnishings, spacious mud/gear room, fine linens and towels, and attention to detail all add to this home's comfort, but it will be the TIMES SPENT HERE WITH FAMILY and FRIENDS that make it truly MEMORABLE.

Located in the heart of the Laurel Highlands and Forbes State Forest, a HOST OF RECREATIONAL PURSUITS await you from DOWNHILL SKIING and SNOWMOBILING to FISHING in high mountain STREAMS and WHITE WATER RAFTING. Many Hiking Trails within walking distance.

The maximum number of guests, including children is 12. Primary renter that is staying on the property must be at least 30 years of age.

Amazing property near Hidden Valley Resort

We had a wonderful stay at Sundance for 3 nights with my wife’s extended family. The house was very clean, is spacious and easily accomodates 10-12 people, and is 5-10 mins max drive to HV resort. We loved the pool table and poker table and the outdoor firepit was great. Has 6 big bedrooms, very comfortable beds, large kitchen and pantry areas. Would highly recommend this property for those looking to stay near Hidden Valley or Seven Springs and look forward to coming back in 2024.

Amazing house and scenery

Perfect location central to hiking biking and skiing. Close to resorts but also secluded for privacy. Perfect for multiple couples for us, or for big family. I have rented many on VRBO. By far this exceeded most others. The owners were very responsive and accommodating. You cant go wrong with this house!

Girl's weekend

We spent a lovely weekend at Sundance for a quick girl's trip. The home is beautiful! We loved the layout that gave us each our own space in a bedroom and yet a wonderful gathering space in the great room. We lucked out with beautiful weather and thoroughly enjoyed spending time on the porch. Our hosts could not have been nicer. We will definitely return to Sundance.

Far exceeded our expectations

Jeannine is a fabulous host and totally responsive for whatever came up. The house was immaculate and very well equipped. This was a family get together celebrating our 40th anniversary. There were 12 of us ranging in age from 1 to 71. Our whole family raved about the house and its cleanliness plus all the great activities available in the area. We enjoyed the pool table, card table, s’mores at the fire ring and dinners on the spacious deck. We recommend this place and would do it again.

We had a wonderful time staying here. The house is beautiful! It is so warm, peaceful, comfortable, and well stocked. We came here to visit Falling Water and were not disappointed. It is truly an amazing home to visit. We also went to Kentuck Knob, which was interesting, and the United Flight 93 Memorial, which was very special. We spent a day in Pittsburgh and visited the Incline, the Science Museum, the Andy Warhol Museum, the National Aviary, and the Natural HIstory Musuem. All had something unique to offer. But, at night we loved coming back to the house and sitting in front of the fire and relaxing. Shari was wonderful to work with. We would love to return again someday.

Nice house, functional layout. leak in walls of first floor bedroom forced family member to sleep on couch because of dripping noise, then leave a day early. Same bedroom has mold, musty smell. Some burners on stove don't work. House is well appointed. A little more inspection and maintenance and it could be great. problems are not major. We expected more consideration for our troubles. For that kind of money, we weren't expecting surprises.

Great Family Getaway

Sundance is an exceptional property, and Jeannine (property owner) was fantastic to work with. The property is centrally located to a number of places to visit. Our family members visited the Flight 93 Memorial, Ohiopyle State Park and Fallingwater (the house designed by famed architect Frank Lloyd Wright). The house is very accommadating with a number of bedrooms (6) and bathrooms (4) with a separate media room, a pool table, and a poker table. The kids and adults easily entertained themselves. Jeannine was available to take our phone call prior to the scheduled stay and she went over all our questions. In addition she went above and beyond to meet a couple of our specific requests. Thank you Jeannine!

Wonderful family celebration

We celebrated our father’s 90th birthday with family from four states. The place was just perfect, inside and out. We had big family dinners, lots of activity, evenings at the fire pit and room for all. Our hostess was lovely to work with and communication was easy and smooth. She even decorated with balloons for the birthday. Exceeded expectations.

Wedding weekend

Our daughter's wedding reception was a few miles away and this was the perfect location. Out of town family stayed with us as well as the grandparents. Appreciated that most of the house is on the first floor for accessibility. Outdoor areas are exceptional. Had a great weekend.
