Rest A' Shored is a brand new home (2019) with a sweeping, open floor plan that can comfortably accommodate two families with children, or three couples for your island retreat. Located on Willow Street, the property is just a short walk to Main Street and the Chincoteague Fair Grounds, right in the heart of the pony penning action! The house provides all the modern amenities needed for your stay, with a touch of Chincoteague charm. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to cook for a crowd! Granite counters, 2 refrigerators, dishwasher, plenty of pots, pans, serving utensils, crockpot, electric griddle, even a blender for all those mixed drinks! Enjoy family meals at the dining room table which comfortably seats 8, plus an additional 5 at the bar top on the kitchen island. A large screened in porch can accommodate all your guests to enjoy meals outdoors, or relax with a cocktail and feel the cool evening breeze! Designed with families in mind, beach chairs, umbrellas, and toys are available for use for sunny days on the beach. For those rainy days, the large living room sectional is perfect for snuggling up to catch a movie! Highspeed internet is available, with multiple TVs, and Microsoft X box in the kids room to play any video games you bring with you (You would need to bring your own controllers and games). For the small ones, a pack and play is available for your use. This is a dog friendly home as we know they are part of your family! (extra pet fee applies)A large driveway provides plenty of parking for up to six passenger vehicles.

Fantastic house

This was the best furnished, nicest house that I have rented in Chincoteague. Everything you could want is provided. It’s on a peaceful street near the center of town. I got the optional linen service and was pleased.

The property is a new home in Chincoteague, and is accurately described in the listing. It was just the two of us, so we had plenty of room to spread out. It was comfortable, clean, and well located in the middle of the island, a couple of blocks from the pony penning.

I was looking for a great spot for my husband's birthday that would be close to fun activities if weather was good and a cozy rental with netflix and wifi if the weather was not so good. This spot was perfect!! Clean, cozy, and a fully-stocked kitchen that allowed for me to make a big birthday dinner. Great communication and convenient location. Perfect stay!!

The house was perfect! It was well appointed and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was very well stocked (pots, pans, spices, coffee filters, dish soap, and paper towels). The beds were comfortable with nice linens. The bathrooms were modern and the laundry room was equipped with new washer/dryer and ample laundry detergent. Overall, the house felt fresh and was immaculately cleaned.

We have been coming to Chincoteague for over four years. This is a natural fit for our family's personality and tastes, and we love the laid back small town vibe that Chincoteague offers.

We relish the cozy island atmosphere and enjoy the pristine, undeveloped beaches and surrounding area of Assateague Island. We purchased this brand new house and furnished it ourselves, with families in mind to enjoy everything the island offers and still provide you with all the comforts of home!

We love the open floor plan of this home. The large front screened in porch with double French doors that open fully to the dining/living and kitchen space are ideal for those perfect summer evenings.
