We had a fabulous stay at this property! We decided to spend two days here after a whirlwind wedding weekend and it was the perfect quiet neighborhood to rest and relax in. Our dog loved the local park and we really enjoyed the delicious restaurants close by. The space itself was a great size for two people with a gorgeous bathroom I wish we had in our own home!

As was proven during this guest'sstay, we are available ANYTIME to adjust the thermostat. The reason it is not in guest control is due to irresponsible behavior and an utter disregard for the environment. Until such time as my guest can be responsible to our earth, I will retain control. Further, is important to understand that the windows operate. Anyone who asks for air conditioning in February should try a window first.

Easy walk to uptown events

We really love walkable spots when traveling, and this spot fit the bill. The host’s communication was always prompt and helpful. Would stay again!

The home was beautiful! Many amenities to meet any possible need we may have had. Lots of tiny things like mints on the table, epsom salt for the tub & brand new toothbrushes (just in case) to let us know our host took all aspects of our stay into consideration. She was incredibly accessible before & during our stay with instructions and with any questions we had. We will definitely be back!

Birthday weekend Getaway

We loved our stay in the fourth ward! The decor is bright and inviting and was a happy vibe the whole time. Literally anything we could have needed was available. I was worried about parking on the street in the city but it was absolutely fine. Many restaurants that are toddler friendly were with in walking distance and there’s a quiet park a stones throw away that was perfect for getting our kiddo’s wiggles out. The shower has great pressure and temperature consistency. The bed and the futon were both very comfortable. Laura, our host, was very friendly and responsive. This is a great flat for a small family looking to explore Charlotte. Thank you for hosting us!

Wasted Money-health issue

I was unable to go because I have RSV. Host not working with me on any kind of refund nor is this site. I will never use again. Thank you!

The Guest did not cancel until the day she was due to check in, leaving me no opportunity to book another guest. My cancelation policy is very clear. I suggested she contact VRBO who could refund due to the extenuating circumstances.

Cute apartment

I had a nice stay and it was convenient to walk to venues. The kitchen area was tight quartered and needs more light, a Keurig is needed other than an espresso machine (missing directions). Parking fees are not included. The owner programs the thermostat from another building so the renter doesn't have control over the apartment temperature. There were no welcome instructions explaining how to use appliances (like a stashed induction cookiing plate or coffee machine), and no area information. They advertised that tea would be there but it wasn't. There is no toaster oven or regular stove or oven. Take your own! It is a historic area but there was a gun shot quite close by down the street one night. You are still in a big city! The owner was very responsive and friendly but there needs to be more attention to providing basics and re-stocks that are expected in a rental.

Future guests, a few points I want to make about this review: 1. Parking is not included because many guests who travel to cities do not have cars and so they shouldn't have to cover the parking fees for those that too. Further, parking in Uptown Charlotte (including Fourth Ward) is - after 2 hours - by fee ONLY per city laws. I have to pay even for my own friends and relatives to visit! 2. The kitchen is clearly described as "petite" in the property listing. Instructions for the espresso maker and induction cooktop are nearby each device. 3. We did run out of tea; my staff did not alert me or replenish. I offered this guest same-day delivery of a fresh supply; she declined. What is not mentioned here is the million-dollar view of the city skyline, the luxurious mattress and bed linens, the spa bathroom, and many other items. Please know I appreciate all my guests and their reviews and always act on constructive suggestions.

A bit of trivia: The Showtime series Homeland filmed in this neighborhood for 3 years (you might recognize the brick townhomes across the street) and in fact Claire Danes filmed a scene in the great room of the main house!
