Come have fun on the beach! Right on Beautiful Lake Huron! Only 9 steps down!

No WIFI. Right on beautiful Lake Huron! The beach is looking good this year, the water is down compared to last year. Bon fires on land or beach. Big front yard for volleyball. We have chairs, tables, umbrellas and a wooden chair swing. You can bike or walk to nearby Forester Park were they have a beach, ice cream, candy and play ground. You must check out the stars at night!!! Enjoy the closed in porch to watch the boats go by, the sun and moon come up! Also a must see!!! We call it the 'Million dollar view!!! You will love falling asleep to the sound of the waves outside your window!!!!!! You can't ask for anything better!!! If you love the beauty and sounds of nature, this is the place for you!! Our upstairs has no insulation so you can enjoy the sound of rain to fall asleep to. Even the storms are awesome to watch over the lake!!! You may even get a picture of a rain bow! Only 7 miles to the nearest Hospital and Veterinary. One mile south is Forester Inn bar and grill. One mile north is gas ,wood, pizza, subs, drinks and small store. Enjoy it as much as our family has since 1938!!!!! We have two new recliners in TV area and a new dvd player. You can bring your own kayaks or paddle boards to enjoy on very calm days.

We had a wonderful stay. Was my husbands first time seeing freighters. We also saw shooting stars and the milky way. Place was very clean and the owners were amazing in responding when messaging them. Stairs down to the beach are 9 so me, being disabled, could not go down them. But the sounds of the waves crashing into shore and the view more than made up for that. We ordered food from the Forester bar down the road. Great food, everything we ordered. Th store north no longer does pizza but the bars was amazing. We hope to be able to come and stay again.

Great beach!

The annual girls trip was another success! The beach was terrific, sunroom was nice, sleeping areas were perfect accommodations for all 6 of us. The kitchen was a little small but we made do. Had a great time!

Beautiful and peaceful

We had such a blessed time here. The owners were very communicative. The property was comfortable and so clean. Although we brought everything we needed we didn’t have too. They were fully stocked with everything you could need. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will hopefully return in the future for much needed alone time. BONUS!! The shower was unexpected.Powerful for a cottage shower!! I loved it.

Beautiful view

Beautiful property highly recommend. The view of Lake Huron was breathtaking. It was quiet very few beach walkers it was like our very own private beach. Quiet neighbors I was a bit concerned with it being 4th of July week. Just wish my husband and I could have enjoyed the property a bit more and not be down with nasty cold and sinus infections and checked out a couple days early but the swing was the perfect place to just rest and enjoy the view.

Nice, clean, vintage cottage in isolated area

Nice little cottage in a super quiet area directly on Lake Huron. Large grassy area to sunbathe in, beach is very rocky, little sand. Great for rock-hounding! Luckily, there was only 1 woman and 2 children next door for just one day, so no privacy issues. Enjoyed one day of sunbathing due to crappy weather rest of week. Went shopping in Lexington twice, which was fun. Different stores open both days, which is unusual. My problem was that I went to rest, relax and de-stress, which I did….but I had no idea it was as isolated as it is. I thought that it was reasonably populated with things to do (e.g., more shopping than just Lexington, more restaurant options, etc). Thankfully, there were books and I read a lot of the time. There are a lot of games, which would work for couples or families. I just didn’t know the area well enough (definitely my fault) and the weather was mostly crummy, and you can’t do anything about the weather… I wish the listing warned you that it was in a very remote area with very limited options for food and things to do. And I assumed from the listing that said “Check back three days before you arrive for WiFi access information” that there WAS WiFi. THERE IS NO WIFI. Maybe that could be stipulated somewhere. In all caps. Finally, the front door lock sometimes works, sometimes doesn’t. Yes, there’s another entrance, it’s just a pain. It needs to be replaced. The cottage was good, but I wouldn’t go back to that area again.

Wonderful!

Our second stay and it was as great as the first. Nothing like a beach right out the door. The charming cabin was neat and clean. We are already maligning plans for next year!

Awesome vacation spot

The lake view is spectacular. We swam, played games, roasted marshmallows and had a blast. Property is just as described and host is very helpful!

Fantastic!

What a great cottage. The sun porch was used ALL the time. From painting rocks to just watching the waves roll in. We had a blast. The kids loved the waves and hunting beautiful rocks in the lake. The best part was the beach was only steps away. We did not want to leave. Thanks!

Last summer getaway

It was our second time staying at this property. We discovered this place last year and it was a perfect getaway. My wife and I love the location and amenities. The cabin is comfortable and stocked with everything we needed. The lake views are spectacular. It’s a bonus that it’s pet friendly and we can bring our kids along ! We definitely plan on coming back.

We enjoyed the whole experience my husband had a golf outing and while he was gone I had a friend over she went for a walk down by the water I stayed in the enclosed porch at night listened to the waves washing on the shore I would recommend this place to a family that would like to get away and ourdog Lola enjoyed th trip to

Million dollar view!

The million dollar view from the beautiful screened in porch is the best part of this property. We stayed there most of the time. We enjoyed our stay!

Much needed R&R

The owners were absolutely wonderful in communication during our stay! Their property was just as described and had everything we needed for a beautiful summer week on Lake Huron with beach access steps away. Would definitely return.

Million-dollar view at its best!

Beautiful property with a million-dollar view of the lake. It was only a 2-hour drive which made it incredibly convenient for us. The cabin is lovely with a wonderful blend of vintage with some modern touches. Our Border Collie loved swimming in the lake and even made some new "friends". We went for breakfast each morning at the quaint local diners then spent the rest of the day relaxing and enjoying the view. Evenings were spent with fires blazing in the fire pit while we enjoyed the freighters passing in the distance and the ever-changing skyline. A much-needed relaxing vacation. Communication with the hosts was excellent.

GREAT VIEW BUT A LITTLE OUTDATED

THE HOME IS A COTTAGE FROM 1938 AND THE PROPERTY HAS BEEN KEPT IN GREAT SHAPE. NO BUGS OR OTHER PESTS. THE LAKE VIEWS ARE GREAT. THE FURITURE IS OUTDATED AND NOT THE GREATEST TO ACCOMADATE SEVERAL ABULTS OR FAMILIES. THE LIVINGROOM HAS A HAS TWO OLD ROCKERS AND A LOVESEAT PILLOUT SLEEPER WHICH AS SEEN ITS DAY. THE PORCH IS NEWER BUT HAS SOME OLD WICKER AND A ROCKER WITH AN OVERSIDED TABLE. THE KITCHEN IS SMALL BUT VERY CUTE BUT ITS A ONE PERSON ADD ON. THE BATHROOM IS ATTACHED TO THE HOME VIA THE FRONT PORCH BECAUSE THIS PLACE WAS FROM 1938. SHOWER IS WEAK AS THEY HAVE A SHALLOW WELL AND WITH WATER REDUCER YOU HAVE TO BE CREATIVE TO GET THE SOUP OFF. IT HAS ONE BEDROOM DOWNSTAIRS WITH A OLDER DOUBLE BED. FOR TWO ADULTS - FOR A COUPLE NIGHTS MAYBE. THE UPTAIR UNINSULATED ATTIC HAS A COUPLE OF BEDS BUT WEATHER PERMITTING IT WILL SWING AS THE WEATHER DOES. PLACE IS CUTE AND WELL KEEP BUT THEY COULD MAKE SOME IMPROVEMENTS TO BETTER SERVE THE CLIENTS. SO IT IS NICE JUST A BIT UNCONFORTABLE.

Nice weekend getaway

We were looking for a waterfront cottage that wasn't too long of a drive from our home. This place was ideal. Perfect location along Lake Huron and a short drive into Port Sanilac for groceries. Beautiful views and a quaint comfortable cabin. Some of the best sleep in a while with the windows open and the calming sound of waves riding up on shore. Really enjoyed our stay !

Total Relaxation!

We loved our stay one of our most relaxing vacations. The location was beautiful. We spent almost every moment either outside enjoying the view, in the porch playing games and enjoying the view or in the lake enjoying the water and the view!!😀The house was clean and had everything we needed. We loved the various nearby small towns. Enjoyed evenings sitting around the fire pit. Perfect family vacation!

A Little Slice of Heaven

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the cottage. It had everything we needed. I will say that we totally misunderstood the need to take more than just beach towels. Please make sure you pack bathing towels and washcloths too. We just packed beach towels and had to make a few trips to the laundromat in town. Not a big deal really and we will know for next time. We plan on returning each year. The ice cream just a few blocks away was priced perfectly and was delicious. Make sure you paint a rock for their collection. Overall a perfect place and perfect vacation.
