This property was amazing! There were 6 of us and it was so spacious everyone had their own place to sleep! The main floor deck was spacious and shaded and where we spent most of our time just hanging out. We enjoyed this property so much, we decided not to venture out and ordered food to be delivered. Sean was a great host and very responsive. Would definitely stay here again!

Great location and perfect for our anual trip for the Mothman Festival. The house was immaculate and well furnished. Commication was excellent. The only issue we had was not finding the stash of towels in the master bedroom closet, until our last day LOL

There were pros and cons

We rented this house to visit extended family during Christmas break. The house had pros and cons, and I will start with the pros. Pros: 1. The house was large and had plenty of space with it's 3 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, family room, kitchen with breakfast nook, dining room and a room with ping pong table. There was also a family room in basement. 2. Great location as it pertains to the view from the back of the house with the river, trees, etc....I'm sure it would have been even better during warm weather with the number of birds that would frequent the area. 3. Furniture in house was good and it looked like the carpeting was newer. 4. We loved being able to take long walks everyday in the neighborhood. Cons: 1. Although the location of the house provided us with a great view from the back of the house, it was a lot closer to the busy interstate than we expected. The noise was so loud when we were outside in the front of the house that it was hard to talk to one another unless you were standing near each other. The loud breaking of the large trucks was very frequent. The master bedroom was on the back of the house so at night it was not too bad, but the other 2 bedrooms were on the front of the house and a lot louder. 2. The property is located down a long one lane street and was hard to find. Thankfully we never met other vehicles driving at same time, otherwise someone would have had to back up a long ways so we could pass. 3. There was very limited hot water with low water pressure. After the first person took a shower, the second person may have a few minutes of hot water left, but everyone else was stuck with a cold shower unless they waited an hour or longer for it to warm up. 4. The house smelled like there was a dead mouse somewhere. There were air fresheners everywhere in the house and I am sure that's the reason why. 5. There were food products left in the fridge, pantry and cabinets, and most was opened and expired. The fridge was not clean. There was even a bag of smelly, rotting potatoes in the pantry that had roots. It left little room for the food we brought with and purchased. We worked around most of the left behind food but had to discard bag of smelly potatoes. 6. Driveway was a challenge for parking. Since there's no access to garage, turning around is hard (we had a ford explorer) 7. No TV in basement as described so basement room was not used. This was one feature we liked when we rented. We will likely not rent again.

Hi Greg, We appreciate your feedback and truly regret that you would not rent with us again. You checked in on 12/24 and did not make us aware of any issues with the home until AFTER we reached out to you on 12/28 to request that the multiple guests that arrived at our home, which we received no prior notification of and were not included in your reservation, remove their cars from our grass and park in the ample space provided in the driveway. I apologize that you were upset by this request and we expressed to you that you were more than welcome to have visitors but that it permanently damages our grass (especially in wet conditions) and that we are typically notified by guests, in advance, if they plan to have a large number of visitors during their stay. In fact, we allowed your nephew & his friend to stay in the basement at no additional charge, despite them not being included in the reservation. Due to the fact that you stayed in the home for 4 days without reporting any of these issues makes me understand that you were not happy about our request and chose to provide negative and outright false feedback regarding our home. Despite this, we wish you and your family success & blessings in 2020 and beyond.

A small unfinished cosmetic item in the recently updated bathroom was noted; even though you confirmed it didn’t impact your stay or comfort, we still offered a courtesy discount, which was declined. We’re continuously improving the space and would have welcomed the chance to address any concerns in real time. We appreciate every guest and remain committed to making each stay as enjoyable as possible.
