About this property

NEW: Elegant creekside cabin with waterfall

1 ac creek side property with its own waterfall, tucked under a canopy of majestic live oaks & opening to the forest, this 4beds/3baths cabin has it all, privacy only 2 min to town. With fun entertainment like apple tv projected on a 8ft screen, record player with great sound & a large deck with bbq, you can start the day with a hike from the cabin (to suicide rock & further), relax by the waterfall, enjoy the 50s-70's record collection, make dinner before a great movie or spend the eve in town.
The cabin is located at the end of a cul de sac on a private road 2 minutes drive from town and a 10 minutes walk on 243 or 15/20 through neighborhood roads.
The forest is your backyard and you can start the hike from the cabin, there is a 10 minute easy walk to another waterfall then you can cut through the woods to meet meet with deer springs trail to suicide rock (strenuous), foster lake, strawberry junction and further, or continue through the creek, ideal with water shoes.
We do have neighbors, they are mostly part time, quiet and far away enough.
Because of its quiet location we do ask for quiet time in the evening on the deck, 9pm at the latest on week ends for quiet time please. You can be on the deck, just quiet.
On multiple levels, the cabin is large enough to sleep 8 couples with their own private room, you can also sleep two single people in two different beds in the studio. The cabin is ideal for 6 people, the living starts feeling small above that number, the deck and dinning room table are big enough for 8.
The projector is connected to apple TV, you will be provided with instructions if you need them. The records and the turn tables must be handled with care and please don't forget to stop the needle from spinning at the end of a record.
The kitchen is equipped with a french press and an espresso percolator, tea pot, food processor, blender, citrus press, crock pot, cast iron pots, outdoor gas barbecue, coffee grinder... there is a wide array of spices and condiments, flour, things mostly organic. Please replace it if you finish it.
We provide toilet paper, linens, towels, dish soaps, sponges and toiletry essentials.
Pets are allowed, but only well behaved ones. Be aware the property is NOT fenced and there is occasional wildlife think skunks and animals that will pray and small dogs although we have never had problems.
There are 25 stairs to get the the main house, some beds are on box springs only, making them 18" high (sometimes a difficult height for elderly people). The queen size bed in the blue-green room is 24", average height.
Children under 12 are NOT allowed, the yard is left mostly untouched and can be dangerous for children, loose rocks, boulders, drops, falling pine cones to name a few.

Why they chose this property

The property is on a big lot that opens to endless forest, with its creel, waterfall and big boulders we fell in love with both the house and the land. In the summer the house is conveniently shaded by the live oaks.

What makes this property unique

Waterfall, AC, privacy, very big deck, record player, 8ft projecting screen, books, tasteful interior
