The Cabin is perfect for 4 but can accommodate 6 with 2 bedrooms; 1 double with french doors onto veranda overlooking woods and stream and 1 bunk room with shorty bunkbeds. In living area 2 Sofa chairs .

Kitchen area with built in hob and oven and dishwasher and washing machine, coffee machine.

Living area with breakfast bar and seating for 6 including sofa & chairs, TV & WIFI, Ipod Dock. French Doors onto front veranda overlooking woods.

Parking area for 1 car

What a find

We were watching the rugby at principality and looking for a stay outside of the chaos and we found this gem. A cute cabin, perfect for us as a couple but would have been lovely with our children too. The accomodations was homely and had lovely little touches such as wine and Welsh cakes. I wish the weather was kinder so I could have enjoyed the outside area, we certainly appreciated how warm the cabin was.The hosts were brilliant with answering our questions and making recommendations when we asked.

Long weekend

We received a warm welcome to the cabin, the lights and heating were on when we arrived and welsh cakes and mulled cider left out for us. The cabin had a cosy, homely feel and was beautifully decorated and also had a well equipped kitchen. The cabin was well situated for woodland walks and visiting Cardiff and the Valleys. We are planning to visit again and would recommend this for a relaxing weekend stsy reecommend the dthi

Amazing spot

Gorgeous location, right on the Taff Trail. Easy walk from the train station and perfect spot for exploring the countryside and close to Cardiff for shopping and other city amenities. Very functional cabin with everything you need for a short stay.

Short break with the dig

We stayed at the Cabin for two days with the kids and dog whilst visiting family. The location was ideal for the dog and local woodland walks and easy access to Cardiff. Cost and quaint. A lovely break.

Great little hideaway for Beacons and Cardiff

I would definitely recommend this accommodation. It is tucked away in a village/ small town that has a few good pubs and food options. You can cycle straight from the cabin, or a drive into the Beacons is only 1/2hr or so. Plenty of room for family of 4, everything you'd need in the cabin and cosy and warm.

Great little cabin

This is a lovely cosy well equipped little cabin, really well located . Tucked peacefully away, great little decking areas and firepit and outside seating. Great few nights and would love to return

Peaceful Cabin

Cabin on the trail

Lovely stay at a very unique little property! The cabin was even nicer than the pictures showed… a great place to chill in the calm and peaceful surroundings. Great welcome pack from the owners, wine and Welsh cakes… what more could you want!

Another great staycation

This was our third time here, second in the cabin and as always the cabin was immaculate and comfortable, everything you need is in the cabin. The location is stunning amongst the trees with fabulous walks on the doorstep. Will define back next year!

Great place for a short stay

The cabin was pretty much as expected with some additional lovely touches by Rachael. I wouldn't recommend it for 6 people, the main bed is a bit small (1.30m at a guess) and one of us grown-ups ended up using the fold-out couch in the living area. But for a family of 4 (and one dog) it was perfect. Gives the feeling of being out in the sticks whilst really, it's 3minutes to the next Co-Op...

Amazing place to stay. All you need for a break is provided.

This cabin has everything you need. Location is easy to find. There is a little stream behind which you can hear in the cabin to add to the experience. Its not to far away from civilisation either with shops and takeaways in walking distance. If you love being away from it all and love scatter cushions then this is the place for you. 😁

Brilliant

Me, my son and our dog stayed. Cabin is perfect, well equipped and very clean. We will go back. Didn't meet the owners but had no problem communicating by message and phone. Very friendly and helpful.

Absoloutley Amazing

We had a great time! The cabin is beautiful and very well equipped. Comfortable beds...great kitchen area which had everything you need...there was even WiFi! The small veranda at the back overlooking the small stream was a great place to chill after a day of Castles and walks.....Thank you for the wine and welsh cakes...a really lovely touch. We will be back for sure. Sid, Kevin, the kids and Lola the dog

Loved this little cottage outside Cardiff!

We arrived at the cottage late one evening and were happy to move in to this comfy, homey cottage. It is nicely situated about a 10 minute drive from the center of Cardiff. Both the location and the accomdations were perfect for our family of four. The only drawback was that our tall 15 year old son didn't quite fit in the bunk, but he curled up and slept just fine. After two weeks travelling in Italy, Wales, and then on to London, my son declared that he liked this place the best and would be happy to move in permanently.

An absolute gem, in the woods.

An amazing small cabin, off the Taffs Trail. A stone throw from Castell Coch and 7 mins to outskirts of Cardiff. Set in a wooded area, in a quite spot behind the Taffs Well ground. Easy to get on the Taffs Trail to the Bay or Brecon if you want. Clean, comfortable and well presented, with everything available to make your stay hassle free. Lovely back balcony overlooking a small relaxing stream. Plenty of wild life and a very friendly Grey squirrel. Highly recommend to anyone looking to be close to Cardiff or looking to explore the South Wales valley's. Host is friendly and communication was super. We will certainly be looking to book again for further stays in South Wales. Highly recommended.

Fantastic home base for travel

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the cabin in Taff's Well. We arrived to find a welcome basket with a bottle of wine, Welch cakes and coffee pods for the next morning, which made our day after a long drive. The kids loved the bunks and sitting at the kitchen bar for meals. The location was perfect for a train ride into Cardiff and the next day a drive up to Brecon Beacons State Park, making it the best of both worlds. The little washer served our needs and we found a cute little town just north that had a Laundromat with an industrial dryer across from some markets. The place is not large, but designed well, is remote with beautiful views around, and plenty of counter space to cook up an evening meal after sightseeing. The only downside I can think is that we only booked two nights. This was a highlight of our trip. Thanks!!!
