Richard and I purchased this property 20 years ago as a place to heal and to get to know each other. We began gardening and people started seeing the flowers and wanting to come in. We opened the gates for visitors but would find them here all hours of the day and night. Eventually we put parameters to our visitor hours. Now the gardens are private in the evenings. So we can share them with you. If we are not in the gardens, chances are we are out two step dancing to a good country band.
Owner purchased this Cabin in 1999

Falling In love again
This is the kind of place that rekindles a love. A love for yourself, nature, and the special person you bring with you. One of a kind place. Great for families looking to have a picnic with their kiddos. Also great for someone looking for a quiet place to create art! Wonderfully tended gardens with tons of hidden surprises to inspire all ages.
Dear Jake and Chloe thank you for the lovely review. We so enjoyed having you both. Such fun! We feel like we have new family! Thank you for coming. Come see us again soon. Enjoy the Elderberry!
Stay was amazing
We had a great time here and would definitely be back. Belva and Richard are amazing and very knowledgeable and helpful.
Thanks so much Jordan, we are so happy that you spent your much needed time off with us. Enjoy your plants! Hope you will come back again soon.
Cozy and Comfortable Beside the Creek
A lovely home away from home experience of spending a night in a lovely historic cabin in the middle of beautiful gardens with the sounds of the creek lulling you to sleep. And plenty of time during day light hours to enjoy the gardens and arboretum beautifully created and tended by the owners. Whether viewing the property from the top of a hill in the Ponderosa forest or ambling through the flower beds, there are plenty of places to rest and take in
the sights, sounds, and aromas of flowers, shrubs, trees and forest. You might spy chipmunks scampering through the beds or hear the chickadee while you enjoy the colorful blooms that change with the seasons.
I highly recommend staying here.
What a lovely review! Thank you Carolyn. We so enjoyed your visit. I have begun your book! It's so good!
Relax and Enjoy Nature
We had a wonderful time staying in the Belva and Richard’s rustic and comfortable cabin by the creek. We sat on the porch with a glass of wine and enjoyed a fire in our private fire pit with a hot cup of coffee. The real surprise is what appears outside at night- breathtaking.
The gardens are spectacular. Take the time to stroll throughout the property.
Belva is a wonderful hostess. She greeted us upon arrival and checked in with us at the end of our stay.
Oh how lovely. We really appreciate your kind words. Please come back and stay again.
I had a wonderful experience staying in this cabin. Belva the host is really concerned for the comfort of the guest. But there was nothing I wanted or needed that was not already available in the cabin. The bed is comfortable. The gardens are beautiful. The cabin is surrounded on 3 sides by a mountain stream. So you will be lulled to sleep by the gentle rolling stream.
Thank you Carolyn. So happy you enjoyed your time with us. Come see us again!
The gardens were delightful. I loved listening to the creek right outside the cabin. It's a peaceful, magical place to get away and contemplate. Belva and Richard are very accommodating and full of delightful information about the plants in their garden.
We so enjoy people spending time in the gardens. Happy to chat about the plants anytime. Thank you for your kind words! Please come and see us again.
We have gold pans available in the gardens, and are surrounded by Rock hounding, ghost towns and hot springs. Our property is 15 minutes for Montana's State Capital of Helena. On the way to Helena you will find restaurants, bars, shopping ans so much more. We sit 1/2 way (about 3.5 hours) between Yellowstone National park and Glacier National Park. Helena is the Mountain Bike Capital of the country and has brewery's shopping, train rides around the city, boat rides up the Missouri river. Sooo Much to see and do.
