Welcome to your condo on Perdido Key!

This condo offers 1,390 square feet of space, unusually spacious for a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom condo on the Key.

Just a 45 second walk directly in front of your two elevators to the beautiful powder-soft, white-sand Perdido Key beach.

We sleep up to six: There is a queen bed in the spacious master retreat, two single beds in the guest room, and a queen sofa bed in the living room.

This immaculate and inviting condominium on the penthouse floor is a well-appointed place where you will have fun in the sun, enjoy a leisure walk on the beach, watch a beautiful sunset and at the end of the day relax in the comfort of your own home.

Our floor to ceiling glass runs across 85% of the long, Gulf-facing dining and living area, offering a stupendous and unobstructed Gulf view.

Lots of advertisements say they are 'close to the beach,' but here the beach is literally just steps away, with no streets to cross. You are right there! Our guests repeatedly say that’s why you take a beach vacation.

Your master retreat enjoys a view of Ole River and Perdido Bay from our 10th floor location. The master also has an en suite vanity area and an unusually deep and large whirlpool bath.

The complex contains three buildings. Our West building and the next door East building each possess an easily accessible beach walkway and beachfront pool. Our West building pool is state of the art zero entry.

There's also a large hot tub at the ground floor of the East building. The Riverside building boasts a pool located adjacent to the serene Ole River. The beach access walkways, all three pools and hot tub are available to all complex guests.

The complex boat/fishing/sunset-watching dock and large, easy-to-use boat launching ramp are on the Ole River adjacent to the Riverside building pool area. Free boat dockage and trailer storage are available on a first come, first serve basis.

Guests also enjoy two lighted tennis courts.

A large and fully-equipped exercise room with TV (and Gulf and pool views) is on the ground floor of our building.

The SeaSpray complex is easy to find – immediately west of the tallest building on the west part of Perdido Key and 1.25 miles east of the renowned Flora-Bama Bar at the Florida-Alabama boundary.

This large condo is definitely a 'home away from home' with all imaginable amenities.

The central dehumidifier and ceiling fans leave you in comfort without having to blast the HVAC system.

Broadband DSL through Comcast cable local area network offers 100.00 mbps instant internet connections for your laptop. We have wifi connectivity. Three TVs including an HDTV, cable, DVD, VCR, and CD keep you well entertained while not at the beach or area attractions.

A full kitchen, with granite countertops, flat-top stove, microwave, ice maker, dishwasher and all dishware, cookware and utensils, is included for your convenience. There is a separate dining area with table comfortably seating six. Bed linens and other necessities are provided for your care-free holiday. A washer and dryer make packing easy. Onsite parking is available.

Try al freso breakfast and dinners on our balcony with its table and four chairs.

Bonus! Take the family on a long excursion from our beach to the east to enjoy the long Gulf Beach State Park. There is no better way to enjoy the beautiful scenery and pristine beach while you are also getting some fun exercise.

The rental truly provides more than you expect and everything you could possibly need for your vacation. The quaint and not-overly-developed Perdido Key is the perfect get-away destination to relax. The sugar-white, powder-soft beaches are a sight to behold, as is the clear navy-blue-to-turquoise-to-emerald-green water.

From the beach and especially from our balcony and Gulf front windows, dolphins can often be seen playing. Blue herons, sea gulls and sand pipers are visible at almost anytime from our high perch. In fact, sea gulls often fly within 15 feet of our floor to ceiling windows.

Golf! There are numerous Championship Golf Courses within a short distance of SeaSpray including Arnold Palmer's Lost Key, Kiva Dunes, The Peninsula Club, Gulf State Park, and Sportsman's Golf Club (former site of the PGA's Pensacola Open).

Activities include hiking, biking, fishing from our Ole River dock, surf fishing, deep sea fishing, jet skiing, sail boating, scuba diving, snorkeling, kayaking, and wind surfing. We are a convenient, 0.75 mile drive to a convenience store and several excellent restaurants, 10 minutes east or west to supermarkets.

Spend a day doing absolutely nothing on your beach or enjoying the many area attractions. Then come home to an elegant space with a stupendous view.

About The Owner

Hi! We searched hard for a decent photo and finally selected this one from our January 2012 snowy, 25-hour train ride from Kiev to Budapest where there was everything but Perdido Key sunshine. Shelley, with masters degrees in international relations and special education, is an educational consultant for parents of special needs children. She taught such children for about 14 years in a university setting. Bill, an attorney, first got the itch for the Gulf coast when his parents took his family there almost yearly for vacations. We often get away from Tennessee late on Friday, enjoy a restful recharge day at the beach and leave Sunday afternoon for the drive back home for work. We are very happy to share our place with you. Why The Owner chose Florida Main North West

While we lived abroad, Bill had the good fortune to have parents who visited Perdido Key and watched for condo purchase opportunities. Shelley knew Florida from growing up there and attending college in Orlando. From 5,000 miles away and sight unseen, we chose the penthouse floor for the view, the SeaSpray building for its right-on-the-beach location, Perdido Key because it's a beautiful and pristine island shared by Alabama (about 10%) and Florida (the rest). Shelley coordinated the décor via mail and, arriving from overseas in December 1983, we were pleased with the result and among the first SeaSpray owners to overnight in the brand new west building, then the tallest structure on Perdido Key. As you will see in the wall print in the master bath, hurricane Ivan visited us just after Labor Day in 2004. Due to problems at the complex, we were only able to return to the condo in spring of 2008! But much of the place is now almost brand new and you will see the positive results of Shelley’s redecorating.

What makes this condo unique

For years, while working abroad and living in rented homes, we dreamed of owning a place on the beach. Perdido Key has all it takes for a great beach visit or extended stay – warm summers with cooling breezes, perfect spring and fall weather, and mild winters, surrounded by the Gulf of Mexico and life. There is so much to see and do here. The problem will be fitting everything in! You'll soak, roast, take long beach walks, meet new people, shop and sigh. Eat from the local seafood restaurants like pigs, sleep like babies. Seafood does taste better here, and you'll find yourselves going to bed early because you're exhausted, and getting up early because there is so much you want to do! And our sunrises and sunsets are truly estupendo.

The complex has three buildings: our Gulf-front West building, the Gulf-front East building, and the Riverside building across the street on Ole River just south of Ono Island. Our West building has a new zero-entry pool. The East building next door has a huge Gulf view whirlpool spa and pool. All guests are welcome to use the Riverside pool, the East pool, and the hot tub adjacent to the East pool. Guests may use the two lighted tennis courts near the Riverside building. A fully equipped Gulf and pool view exercize room with TV is on the ground floor of our West building. A multi-slip boat dock (first come first serve) and well-maintained boat launching ramp in our complex on Ole River (near the Riverside building pool) are available free of additional charge. What a View!

What a lovely condo! We had a terrific time and enjoyed the windows so much. We spotted dolphins from the comfort of an easy chair while sipping our coffee. The beach had minimal activity and we didn't even mind a little thunderstorm or two. It doesn't get much better than that. Such a peaceful, friendly place.

Excellent for families. Beautiful View.

This was our first trip to Perdido Key and we could not have chosen a better place. We brought my 14yr old son & his friend with plans to just relax. From the moment we walked into the condo and pushed back those curtains all we could talk about was THE VIEW. The condo was perfect. The beds & couch were comfortable. The ghost house next door was the topic of conversation many times through out the week. We even were lucky enough to speak to the owner. The sand was clean & the water was clear. We were concerned because some friends had been in O.B. the week before and could net get in water due to jelly fish. On our arrival day we had the blue moon which created a larger high tide & the boys loved the bigger waves. That first day on the beach we carried everything down and then back up to the condo. That evening we noticed people were leaving their tents, chairs, and toys and the next morning realized nothing had been bothered. The rest of the week we did the same thing, and nothing was every bothered or stolen. Family atmosphere, people were casually drinking but never saw anyone get out of hand. We could sit on the patio and watch the boys playing on the beach. One afternoon the boys had forgotten their ball and sent us back to the condo. A gentleman stopped us on the way back & said one of the boys had stepped on a fishing hook. He helped him but wanted us to just be aware. The whole week I felt relaxed knowing that everyone there was just there to spend time with their families and would look out for one another. The condo was perfect for what we needed. Large master bedroom, bath, and that tub is HUGE. Enjoyed the convenience of the washer and dryer. Located close (10 min) to many restaurants & stores but you will have to drive, most are not within walking distance. The owner Bill was a delight to work with from the moment I first spoke with him. His email gave us travel info as far as best exit for gas, where to stop for food, as well as places to see while in P. Key. We visited and recommend Blue Dolphin Cruises, Pensacola Blue Wahoos Baseball (cheap & lots of kid friendly themes), USS Alabama (visit early it gets hot hot), Bubba's Seafood House, Hurricane Grill & Wings, kids favorite was playing afternoon bingo at Florabama Lounge. Several times we asked the kids if they wanted to do the tourist trap stuff & they kept saying no they just wanted to play at the beach. We had to beg them to go out to eat at night. Cheapest vacation ever for us.

Great condo, amazing view!

Stayed ON the beach for the first time and couldn't have been happier! My best friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful condo on Perdido Key. The condo is on the 10th floor which provides a BEAUTIFUL, unobstructed view of the Gulf from the convenience of the living room, kitchen, and balcony. Even on the rainy days, it was soo relaxing to sit out on the balcony with a good book and beverage and enjoy the breeze and the sound of the ocean while it rained. Very easy beach access from the condo and the two late morning flyovers from the Blue Angels (in formation!) were an extra treat! It was like we got our own private air show! The condo was clean, well stocked with necessities, and the owners are so very nice and accommodating. This experience was SO wonderful! Will DEFINITELY stay here again!

An interesting half-day to full-day activity is a visit to the Fort Morgan State Historic Area west of Perdido Key. Construction began 1819, completed 1834. Large brick fort serviced the Civil War, Spanish-American War and both world wars. It played a major role during the 1864 Battle of Mobile Bay.

--If you inquire about a booking past my rate structure dates, you will get a "Not Available" message. Please inquire via owner to get the rates for those future periods.
--Guests may inquire about monthly rates for any months although the rate structure shows those months only quote weekly rentals rates.
--Owner does not charge for service fees, resort fee, booking fee or any other fee or taxes apart from the Cleaning Fee ($85) and mandatory taxes for Escambia County (4%) and State of Florida (7.5%). Taxes are computed on top of the rental amount plus cleaning fee.
--Payments may be made by (1) PayPal via owner's email address walexa6282@aol.com, (2) personal check or (3) other method approved by owner via text or phone call to 615-957-2702 or via email.

Rentals of less than Two Weeks:
$400 deposit is payable at booking. Remainder due four weeks before arrival date.

Rentals of Two Weeks or More:
--$600 deposit is payable at booking. Remainder usually due at staggered times per owner schedule up to four weeks before arrival date.
--Refundable Security deposit of $150 is payable at booking.
--Monthly rate includes a $3.50 per day electricity allowance.

Cancellation: 100% returned with notice before 8 weeks of arrival, 50% returned if notice before 4 weeks. However, we will work with guests to fill the cancelled dates and if we fill them 100% returned except a $50 cancellation fee.
