Our Arrival Concierge will meet you at the airport and personally assist you with your rental car and luggage. Once settled, you will follow our personal concierge to the Buck View Home to settle in. A stop for groceries is welcome along your journey with the concierge if you choose or we can arrange to have groceries delivered directly to the home before your arrival.

Come relax and enjoy yourself in this spacious, charming, fully equipped one bedroom, one bath, guesthouse in the heart of the East End of Saint Croix. Your guesthouse apartment is quiet, private, attractive and comfortable. You will enjoy wide open views of the Caribbean Sea, Buck Island, the sound of the waves crashing on the reef and expansive sunsets over Christiansted. Your views are truly panoramic.

The guesthouse is an excellent choice for celebrating a special occasion or simply coming to relax and enjoy. At the home you will enjoy white cotton linens, a feather bolster couch and a fully equipped kitchen inclusive of All-clad pots and pans for cooking and champagne flutes for sipping.

Your host Dawn has an eye for detail. We have taken great care in detailing the home for your comfort and pleasure. We pride ourselves in providing you with a superior guest experience. I am here to work with you, as much or as little as you would like, by offering assistance and suggestions based on the activities you enjoy and your favorite cuisines. Planning is my passion and Saint Croix is certainly a planners paradise.

St. Croix is the largest of the US Virgin Islands and remains a well-kept secret in comparison to St. Thomas and St. John. St. Croix is much quieter and more laid-back. The Island offers water sports in abundance such as scuba diving, snorkeling, fishing, sailing and a plethora of beautiful beaches. The island is home to two 18 hole golf courses and one 9 hole golf course. St. Croix has two small towns, Christiansted and Frederiksted, along with historic architecture and plentiful dining destinations of distinction from gourmet to my favorite vegan truck!

The salt water plunge pool has an interior bench overlooking the Caribbean Sea and Buck Island. The pool is private and shared with the owners when they are on Island and in residence in the upper level of the home.

The Buck View Guesthouse is built into the hillside and located on the lower level of the home. The guesthouse is extremely quiet and private and cannot be seen from the main house. The guesthouse has its own private entrance, private parking in the gated driveway and cannot be accessed from the upper level of the home.

Note: The upper level of the home is never rented out when we have guests in the guesthouse.

Beautiful stay in tropical paradise

Location of property high up afforded breath taking views of Buck Island and the Caribbean Sea. Plunge pool was an added bonus, thoughtfully designed, and also situated for perfect views. Accommodations were clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. Communication with owner was always quick and informative. All the recommendations for dinner and things to do were great. Would highly recommend this VRBO.

Relaxing stay

We enjoyed our stay at the Buck Island view guest house. It was very clean, and the views were beautiful. I had thought I wanted a beach front location, but after all day at the beach and other activities, it felt like coming home. It was nice being in a secluded area and loved the “breeze”. We appreciated all the details about the area and the home that Dawn gave. We would definitely return to St Croix and this location in the future!!

Absolutely amazing!!!!

Dawn and Tim literally thought of EVERYTHING necessary for the home and then some!!! We had a minor issue with the water shortly after our arrival (that was caused by the storm before we arrived) but it was tended to and resolved in a heartbeat! The recommendations, the answered questions and communication through the entire process were extremely helpful and greatly appreciated. We could not have ended up with better hosts or picked a better place to stay!!

Clean and Beautiful view--Doesn't get much better!!

We so enjoyed our 35th Anniversary trip to St Croix!!! The view from this house is amazing--we were able to enjoy the dipping pool while watching the sun go down and just be away from all the hustle and bustle which we needed so badly--just truly a relaxing location!! The property owners went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable--they let us know all the island places to go that aren't in the books, from restaurants to beach locations! We had 1 issue with the water going out--the pump was broken. They were on it that night and it was fixed before we got out of bed the next morning!! Can't beat that anywhere!! The Only negative for us was that the shower is a little tight, but other than that we had no quams with anything about the house. It was very clean and just perfect for the two of us!!! We would go spend a week or two here again in a heart beat!! Thank you so much for sharing your home with us--we loved every minute of it!!!

Following a long and painful divorce, I booked this property for a much needed four month sabbatical. It looked incredible on the site and my expectations were high. The host exceeded all of my expectations, then went above that. The property has a stunning 220 degree view from Christenstead, the Caribbean and Buck Island. Everything you could imagine needing is provided. The home is pristine. Every area is clean, neat and well organized. The host have suggestions to make the stay the best it can be. I felt like a local with old friends from day one. I found peace here. The island, home and accoutrements all work together like a well-rehearsed orchestra, simply close your eyes and drink it all in. I have traveled all over the world. This home, trip and hospitality are one of the best highlights of my lifelong travels. Book this one fast. It will be gone if you don’t!

Most AMAZING place ever ❤️

I booked Buck View as a surprise anniversary trip/much needed getaway for my husband and myself. Traveling from Indiana, I had multiple questions regarding St. Croix. What to expect, places to visit, must do’s of St. Croix, arriving at the airport, rental car and my list went on! From my very first message to Dawn, I felt like we formed an instant friendship! I relayed to Dawn my husband had lost both his parents in the last six months, he had a total knee replacement this past year, we have been foster parents for ten years with 2 biological children and finally finalized our fourth adoption in May 2021 ❤️ Between Covid lockdowns and the events of 2021 we needed a child free vacation. We have not been on a vacation without our children since our honeymoon (that was 26 years ago)! Dawn answered every question I asked promptly and definitely put my mind at ease! Not only did she answer every question, she provided a 32 page emailed file of everything you needed to know about the guesthouse, sites to see, emergency information, clear down to purchasing an original hook bracelet! Which is a MUST in St. Croix ❤️ The pictures simply do not do justice to the stunning view you have from every window. There simply are no words to describe our week at Buck View other than breathtaking! The guesthouse is decorated beautifully, the outside grounds are gorgeous, and the view of Buck Island is beyond words! Tim and Dawn go above and beyond to make your stay perfect and relaxing! There is definitely no skimping on the amnesties provided which included Williams and Sinoma hand soap and lotion, salon grade shampoo and conditioner, makeup towelettes, plush beach towels, Cruzan Rum and the list goes on! Did I mention to linens? Very high end quality and Kate Spade plush blankets to cover up with while soaking in the Caribbean breeze. I am so thankful I took the leap and booked our vacation at Buck View! This was the first time I’ve booked through a VRBO site and it will be tough to ever exceed this experience! They say west is best in St. Croix~ however, we disagree and believe Buck View is BEST! We are forever grateful for our visit to St. Croix and our amazing stay at Buck View! Paradise

We had a wonderful stay in St. Croix. The house has amazing views that we could see from every window. I miss waking up and seeing the beautiful turquoise waters as soon as I open my eyes. The house is so comfortable and it was stocked with everything we could want or need! Dawn is a phenomenal hostess. Her recommendations were always perfect. Why they chose this property

We purchased this amazing property in 2019 from a wonderful family whom we admire. The home, we call it Buck View, became our benchmark in the early 2000's for what my husband Tim and I were looking for on Saint Croix.

The Caribbean Sea views are spectacular, the sound of the reef is constant, Buck Island shows in all her glory, the goats pass by on the hills next door and sailboats are seen heading in and out of their Caribbean destinations.

The Cruzans are a laid back and enjoy their days. The pace here is slow and easy, the beaches abound and the restaurants offer a full array from gourmet to my favorite food truck.

Relax and enjoy; this is your home away from home!

What makes this property unique

What makes the East End Buck View Guesthouse so desirable on Saint Croix is that it is situated on a hillside with wide open views of the Caribbean Sea and Buck Island. You will also be treated to spectacular sunsets over Christiansted from your patio with the lulling sound of the waves crashing on the Reef.

Once you enter the gated driveway, the entrance to your guesthouse is down the sidewalk on the right hand side of the home. You know you are home when the views open up wide as you step onto your private patio.

There has been no sparing in detail, comfort and simple pleasures to make your stay in this fully renovated Buck View Guesthouse totally relaxing.
