Welcome to Casa Tranquilo, a cozy 1-bedroom, 1-bath beach bungalow just 150 steps from the beautiful white sand of Fort Myers Beach. Located mid-island, this private apartment gives you the best of both worlds — an easy walk to the beach and convenient access to Publix, Junkanoo, Fresh Catch, beach bars, restaurants, dolphin cruises, charter fishing, kayaking, and more.

At the other end of the street, take a short stroll to the back bay dock for sunrise views, dolphin watching, kayaking, and fishing.

Inside, you’ll find a fully stocked kitchen, full-size kitchen appliances, full-size bathroom, closet space, in-unit washer and dryer, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and all the comforts of home. The property has no entry stairs, and the driveway provides two tandem parking spaces. After the beach, rinse off sand and salt in the convenient outdoor shower before relaxing on the covered patio right outside your front door.

To make your beach days easy, two beach cruisers, beach chairs, cooler, wagon, and umbrella are provided.

Dogs are welcome with prior owner approval. House-trained, non-chewing dogs only. No breed or size restrictions. Please note there is no fenced yardavailable. No cats due to severe owner allergy.

The apartment is non-smoking, and all utilities are included. Casa Tranquilo is ideal for couples, solo travelers, snowbirds, remote workers, and guests traveling with a dog. You’re going to love it!

Wonderful place to stay , clean, close to the beach, pet friendly and an awesome host. Kitchen was the best equipped kitchen that we have seen through a rental. The host was very friendly, made sure we had everything we needed and went above and beyond what was expected.

Our stay was fabulous at Casa Tranquila. Shelley goes out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed including dinner suggestions, things to do, and info on excursions. The home was clean, comfortable and favored by me was a soft fleece blanket for the evenings. The kitchen is well stocked with spices, cooking utensils/appliances and a grill!Her sweet fur baby, Lola, greeted us daily for some attention. Accidentally we broke the beach umbrella, Shelley gave us grace, we offered to replace and she immediately had something else for us to use and told us things like that happen at the beach. You won’t be disappointed staying at Casa Tranquilo. Martins.

We absolutely loved it here, the beach is very close, the property is well maintained, the patio is an added bonus with comfy furniture and ceiling fans for chilling outside. The neighborhood is quiet and our golden doodle felt right at home. Cooked on the nice gas grill and the kitchen has everything you need. The host Shelly is awesome and goes over the top to guarantee you have everything you need. While there my wife ended up in the hospital for emergency surgery right before our scheduled departure. Shelly (host) went above and beyond and was truly an amazing person, helped with our dog, offered rides, checked on us. We’re 18 hours from home but it felt like you had family right there helping when you most needed it! I didn’t even mention the bikes, beach wagon, beach chairs, umbrella that are provided. Great beach and shelling, seen dolphins and a whale not far from shore. If I could give more stars I would!

The accommodations were very clean and comfortable with a fully stocked kitchen. We enjoyed sitting out on the patio in the mornings and evenings. The beach is very close with beach chairs, a cabana and a cooler for use. There are even bikes available for use. We had a very enjoyable stay.

Perfect beach cottage!

The unit was exactly as described. Very clean, well equipped and in a great location. The bikes, wagons, beach chairs and beach umbrellas were exactly what we needed. Also very close to Publix. It was the perfect size for 2 adults. The backyard was a bonus! We’ll definitely be back!

Casa Tranquilo perfection!!!!

Everything was just perfect!!!! Half block to the bay half block to the beach!!! The neighborhood was just the best with friendly helpful folks. Shelly was great to communicate with and we explored everyday… it was heaven. Thanks for sharing can’t wait to go back!!!

beautiful, cozy, and family friendly

My wife and teenager stayed here for 8 days and it felt like home. It was very comfortable because the owner was always one step ahead. They thought of everything! They included sunscreen for us and even had doggy bags and treats for our dog. There was a hand wagon to carry all our things to the beach and bicycles ready for us to use. All the utensils and towels looked like new. Overall, we had a great stay.

Wonderful property.

Home is everything you could want or need to enjoy a beach vacation. Owner has thought of every detail which we very much appreciated and everything is clean and new. Plenty of beach towels, beach bikes, new beach chairs, umbrellas. Also hair dryer and flat iron were all available in the unit. All the decor is very beachy and the beds are extremely comfortable. The owners paid attention to every detail their renters could need to enjoy their vacation. We will definitely rent again.

Week at the beach

Location of the property was excellent and easily accessible to the beach, shopping, and dining. During our stay at this property the dishwasher quit working, the ice maker quit working, and the TV remote volume worked sporadically. The clothes dryer was a bit tricky to set. The backyard was good for our small dog, but there was limited grass. We enjoyed the beach and visiting the area despite the inconveniences listed.

Thank you for taking the time to review Casa Tranquilo Bungalow. All electronic appliances on the property are one year or newer. During your week stay, we hoped your regular calls to us, personal appliance demonstrations by property maintenance gentleman, and printed directions for dishwasher (on dishwasher door) and washer/dryer (on shelf) would have provided smooth operation of appliances. We provide a welcome binder full of tourist information including trolley information such as the name of the corner trolley stop, app for real-time schedules, and a web link saving your trip to a neighbor's home for tourist information. Had you told us during your stay the volume button on the remote was sporadically working we would have instantly provided a new one. I apologize for your inconvenience. The dog-friendly fenced backyard is a mixture of sand, grass (amount and quality is dependant on the rainy season or drought and activeness of seasonal doggy guests), mulch, an 8x12 patio with a 12-foot cantilever umbrella for shade, and many native plants. Maintenance of sod, rock or shells is not practical in a pet-friendly play area, especially in the Florida heat. We are happy to know you had safe travels home. Thank you for visiting! Shelley

Casa Tranquilo apt.

House is on a residential street with friendly, helpful neighbors. Easy walk to beautiful beach. The fenced backyard with tropical foliage has a nice patio with comfortable chairs and a big umbrella-great place for morning coffee or later day glass of wine. The apartment is small, but well stocked with everything we needed. Super comfortable bed has newer mattress. Smart TV has Prime and Netflix. We appreciated the use of the bikes and beach chairs provided. Shelley was quick to respond and solve any questions or issues and there are 2 nice neighbors who also helped out. The new washer and dryer were tricky to use, very sensitive controls that have to be done in a certain order to get the washer started, I’d recommend replacing the couch, as it was not very comfortable. Overall, it’s a nice place to stay!

Cozy little place

Great little place for 2 people. Cute, clean and close to the beach. The yard was big enough for our 2 little dogs. Neighborhood is quiet.

Home Away From Home

Cute apartment on a residential street. Friendly neighbors. Enjoyed relaxing in the backyard as well as the beach. Away from the busyness of the north island but close enough should you want some activity.

Gemütliches Apartement mit Garten in Ft. Myers Beach

Das Apartement ist liebevoll im maritimen Stil eingerichtet. Die moderne Küche ist voll ausgestattet mit großem Herd, großem Kühlschrank (mit Ice-Crusher) und Geschirrspüler (etwas zu wenig Geschirr um den Spüler zu benutzen :o) Das gesamte Mobilar (incl. Küche) ist aus Vollholz und ziemlich neuwertig. Im Abstellraum sind Fahrräder, Strandsonnenschirme und -stühle, sowie Waschmaschine und Trockner in super Zustand. Zugang zum Apartement mit Zahlencode ist eine perfekte Lösung. Der Weg zum Superstrand ist nur ein Katzensprung entfernt. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten (Publix) in 8 min. (zu Fuß) Einziges Manko: die Klimaanlage neben der Terrasse. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen.

Adorable Bungalow At Fantastic Location

Casa Tranquilo is absolutely wonderful. Adorable, beach chic decor throughout in a fantastic location just a short walk to the beach. Host was incredibly Communicative and accommodating. This is a Great option for 2 adults and a doggo (it had a private, fenced in backyard!). Highly recommend!

Hello and welcome! My sweet pit mix, Lola, and I have called Fort Myers Beach our permanent home since 2022. I grew up in the Midwest and spent 20 years in Raleigh, North Carolina, before making my way to Southwest Florida.

I named my home Casa Tranquilo in honor of the wonderful, peaceful people I met during my time in the Dominican Republic, where I spent time helping rescue dogs. I love traveling, meeting people, and experiencing different cultures, but Fort Myers Beach is the place I always come back to — and the place I’m grateful to call home.

I’m happy to share a little piece of it with my guests and hope you enjoy Casa Tranquilo as much as Lola and I do.

I purchased Casa Tranquilo in June 2019 because I fell in love with the quiet mid-island neighborhood, the easy beach-to-bay location, and the convenience of being close to so much of what Fort Myers Beach has to offer. It felt like the perfect place to create a relaxing beach retreat.

The apartment remodel was completed in May 2025 with comfort, convenience, and longer stays in mind. Guests can enjoy a fresh, comfortable space with all the comforts of home, plus an easy walk to Publix, a marina, and two local bar/restaurants.

Casa Tranquilo is located on one of Fort Myers Beach’s special beach-to-bay streets, just 150 steps from the beautiful white sand beaches of the Gulf of Mexico and a short stroll to the bay for sunrise views, dolphin watching, and fishing from the dock.

The property has a unique setup, with an owner-occupied 3-bedroom/2-bath main home upstairs and a private 1-bedroom/1-bath bungalow on the ground floor. Guests enjoy their own comfortable space while being close to everything that makes mid-island living so special.

One of the things I love most about Casa Tranquilo is the neighborhood. It is peaceful, friendly, and convenient, with some of the best neighbors on the beach. It offers that rare combination of quiet local charm, beach access, bay access, and walkability to nearby favorites.

We are dog friendly with prior owner approval. House-trained, indoor, non-chewing dogs are welcome with a $100 pet fee. Maximum one dog, though I may consider two for guests whose dogs are truly like family. Sorry, no cats, as I am severely allergic.
