This home has all the amenities: a private lakefront home right on the edge of town.
This air conditioned home has an open floor plan, where you can enjoy the beautiful gas log, stone fireplace while looking through the extra-large door wall enjoying the spectacular sunsets of the East Bay. The full working kitchen boasts of all the modern-day amenities, including a dishwasher, garbage disposal, two refrigerators, and a built-in microwave.
The upstairs has 4 spacious bedrooms each with its own smart TV, that will comfortably accommodate 10 guests. The Master bedroom has its own private balcony for those romantic sunsets. Also located upstairs is the second full bath complete with a Jacuzzi tub.
The amenities don’t stop at the inside of the home, outside you will find an attached two-car garage, a side yard for additional parking, a lakeside yard, a dock, and plenty of shallow water to use the 2 provided kayaks, paddleboards, Lily Pad or just for letting the kids play with provided deck and water toys.
This is truly a year-round home: swimming, fishing, boating, snowmobiling, ice fishing, state trailhead for ATV just a mile away, and plenty of state land nearby for hunting and hiking.

Houghton Lake is a gorgeous lake that we thoroughly enjoyed staying on. The kitchen was well-stocked for cooking, and the outdoor space was beautiful.

The house sits right on the water on the south east side of Houghton Lake. Beautiful views, especially from the upstairs balcony. Host was super friendly and proactively in communication from a few days prior to our arrival thru departure

To close to a busy road and the water was way to shallow for us. The bedrooms were very nice

We had a great time and enjoyed walking trails and visiting the area park for tennis and gaga ball.

I am glad you had a nice time. I agree the water levels are very low right now. This is the lowest that it has ever been! I am told it is due to the fact it has not rained really all summer. Last summer the water was 1/2 way up the sea wall.

Rented place to support a group of 5 adults - lodging for golf weekend. The group all enjoys to stay-in a dine, kitchen amenities were great. The overall layout for sleeping and socializing (inside and out) made the weekend perfect.

Beautiful location, house had all of the things that we could have needed. Lake was fabulous - shallow way out, warm, sandy. House had comfortable beds, great living space, and loads of toys. Kitchen was stocked.

The cottage was very clean. Small but cozy and cute, great location on the lake. Upstairs flooring was very creaky/loud. We didn’t get to take advantage of the lake, but could see how the summer months would be perfect to swim right out your back door. Enjoyed our stay. Host was great with communication and left a nice bottle of wine and wine opener for the guest. Great touch

Great house

The house was clean the kitchen was fully stocked with anything you would possibly need. Lots of out door toys for the kids, plenty of chairs, fishing and boating supplies as well.

We had a great weekend on the ice. The place was perfect for our group of four. Plenty of room for more. Great location on East Bay. Owner was great! Would love to stay here again next year for our annual ice fishing weekend.

Summer Getaway

Perfect spot to relax and enjoy family and friends. Cute friendly restaurant within a walking distance. Lovely farmers market around the corner. Beautiful lakefront views. The house is comfortable and cozy. The owner was responsive and super friendly! If i am ever in that area of the country I will definitely try to stay here again!
