Beautiful OCEANFRONT FOUR BEDROOM house is perfect location to host memories for a lifetime. Nestled on a premium stretch of beach dotted with private homes, this three story gem has fantastic views from both upper and lower decks.

Perfect location for an EXTENDED WINTER VACATION, Contact us for special rates for rentals for 2 or more weeks.

Bottom floor has double enclosed garage and entry. First floor has open living and kitchen area with wall of windows looking out on sparkling waters. First floor access to the kitchen and living area is a feature MANY oceanfront homes don't offer. You don't realize how nice it is until you don't have to walk up three flights of stairs every time you go from the beach to the living area. The upper floor has 4 bedrooms, 3 of which are oceanfront. Bedroom doors open to expansive deck that has 180 degree view of Atlantic. Free Wi-Fi throughout..

For infants, a pack-and-play, and a high chair are available to use. Bed linen and towels are not provided. Rental options on the island are available.

See the sunrise from your pillow. Watch for the pods of dolphin that run in the early morning and late afternoon. Fresh seafood can be purchased on a daily basis from the local fishermen who bring their hauls in and sell them at the market 3 miles away. Walk for miles in either direction on the beach. Look for prehistoric sharks' teeth and shells. The sound is just a walk away and provides amazing sunset panoramas.

The towns of Wrightsville Beach and Wilmington( international airport) are less than an hour away.

The only drawback to this house is that you'll never want to leave.

Great House. Plenty of shared space in the main living area. Large kitchen table. Plenty of utensils for cooking, and nice to have a few stock items in the pantry. Loved the spacious upper and lower decks for view of the ocean and the nightsky! Large beach in front of house. Easy check-in with good instructions to locate lock box.

The view to die for!

Perfect home for family and friends. Lots of space inside, an enclosed garage, and a beautiful view and access to ocean just steps away. Everything was comfortable and temperature control was perfect.

Escape Hatch joy

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Escape Hatch. We go for the effects of the surf & star gazing, so the fact that the neighbor's security light to the east shines too luch on Escape Hatches back deck put a damper on that but we enjoy the house and the area.

Beautiful house in perfect location

This house was directly on the beach and was perfect size for our family of 7 adults and one infant. We only ate out twice during the week and used the fully stocked kitchen to make our own meals. We really did not want to leave.

This was the perfect location and home for our family of 4 to meet up with our friends for a family vacation. House is beautiful, comfortable and updated decor. It was spacious for the 8 of us! The beach is perfect with shallow sandbar for littles to play. I loved the flipped layout with bedrooms on upper floor and main living space on lower floor. All the amenities made it very convenient.

Escape to the beach!

The location was fantastic! 1 flight of stairs to the beach. We have never been this close! We loved the spacious area by the sliding door. Plenty of space to beach bags and belongings. Kitchen had everything you needed ie containers silverware cups dishes etc. The layout is great having a bathroom on the main level and the laundry room! We enjoyed sitting on the decks and hearing the ocean! Plan on staying again!

Two weeks in paradise

This property was perfect for our family gathering. The house is beautifully decorated and well kept. The furniture was comfortable and the floor plan made it possible for us to either gather or find personal space. The kitchen was well equipped. The surrounding area was quiet and the beach was pristine. We watched the dolphins and even sighted a whale! Lots of memories made. It truly felt like home!

Another Great Stay!

We just finished another great stay at Escape Hatch! We had 3 adults and 3 kids, with plenty of space for everyone. The bunk bed room is perfect for kids and the other 3 bedrooms each have a great view of the beach and ocean. Check-in and check-out were easy and Paul is very responsive. Instructions/details provided ahead of time are easy to understand and the kitchen is well stocked with dishes, utensils, and cookware. Even with the chillier weather, we enjoyed walking along the beach and drinking hot chocolate on the deck. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

Memorial Day weekend to remember

What a great property, courteous hosts, and easy process. Communication before, during, and after our stay was outstanding. Small miss-understanding about Linen, but that was easily overcome. The listing is not real clear about guests providing their own sheets and towels. We didn't take any, and didn't realize the requirement until we arrived. There are Linen services in the area and the listings are in the property. Great time. Great property.

A Perfect Beach Holiday

Our multi-generational family group had a marvelous time at Escapehatch. Walking up the stairs into the house from the garage for the first time we were wowed by the beautiful ocean view that greeted us. The house is comfortably furnished, including the beds, and amply supplied with utensils, cooking equipment, dishes, and appliances. There’s a great assortment of beach gear, including lots of sand toys and a collection of really nice kites. We had some windy days and enjoyed the variety! The great highchair and Pack n Play were much appreciated. Our hosts, Paul and Sharon, replied promptly to questions ahead of time, and we were well informed on arrival and departure procedures. Escapehatch feels like a place that has provided a great deal of pleasure and relaxation for both owners and guests. We would be delighted to return.

Perfect Spring Break Getaway!

I rented this house for the week with six of my teacher friends over spring break. The views from the house were unbelievable. There was so much to do on the island: we went rollerskating, walked around the park, got tacos at an amazing taco stand, and even found a place to rent wetsuits for some cold water boarding. The house was perfect for our larger group of adults. We loved having the bedroom upstairs, there was plenty of beds space, and the third full bathroom definitely came in handy. Owners were very accommodating and went above and beyond for us. Being March, the weather was a little chilly, but the top balcony deck was perfect for blocking the wind and sunbathing. Even in chilly weather the beach was fun for building a sandcastle and searching for sea glass! I’m already trying to persuade my teacher friends that we need to rent this house again for a week in August before returning to school!

We are British ex-pats who used to vacation on the island many years ago when our children were little and we just keep on returning! Now we are empty-nesters and have bought a house so we can keep visiting this gem of an island. We have always loved being on the water and smelling the salt air and knew that one day we would buy a house here. We visit as often as we can and are very hands-on to ensure that the property is well maintained and in super shape!

Why they chose this property

When we discovered Topsail Island back in the 90's we knew it had everything we wanted... beautiful quiet beaches, plenty ( but not too much) to do, good restaurants and a laid back atmosphere with close proximity to Wilmington. We purchased this home because the island remains as quaint and as unspoiled as it was back in the 1990's and the house is just beautiful! We love the tile/wood floors, the large windows, the decks, and the views! The house is clean, uncluttered and a lovely place to relax.

What makes this property unique

Quaint quiet town with private beaches. Soft sand with plenty of sharks teeth, warm waters, beautiful sunrises, and dolphins swimming past.
The house is just lovely and the multiple windows/doors give great views even from inside! The living area is NOT on the top floor and you don't miss a thing ~ other than tired muscles from going up and down stairs all day.
