A little weird lots of mosquitos inside the house

It was strange to get bit by mosquitos inside. Didn't love that. The owner had food in the fridge and cupboards, his work stuff on the desk. Cool house just not an ideal situation that I've stayed at in other vrbos. He also charged us extra.. there are other places to stay

Paradise Valley Village

We rented the house because my father was just released from the hospital he underwent a kidney transplant surgery and we needed something close to take him back and forth to the clinic. Upon our arrival to the property was a great disappointment to see, the advertisement and pictures the host posted were misleading. The property was filled with clutter and every inch of the house was dirty. It seemed like he was not ready to rent the place, his personal belongings were all over the house. There were dirty piles of clothes and personal items in the master bedroom. The living room had his books and work folders all over the floors. Everything dusty and unorganized. The kitchen was the main issue. As we inspected the kitchen we quickly learned that it was impossible to utilize because it was so dirty and everything was sticky. The refrigerator had not been cleaned out and it had food that needed to be tossed and cleaned thoroughly. As we brought up these issues the owner started to jump from one place to the other stating that he will clean. Unfortunately nothing got cleaned. We spent few hours cleaning and tossing things out of the refrigerator. We expressed our concerns to the owner that in his ad everything is pictured to be clean and organized. Moving on from the kitchen the backyard was another concern of us. He came and mowed his lawn and dumped the grass in the pool for my family not to use. When we called to confront him he said go grab the shock packet and put in the pool. The whole experience was unsettling. We did not know how to communicate or who to communicate with because initially his girlfriend was involved than she sends us an unsettled text that her and him are having domestic issues and that we should express our concerns to him. During the whole stay we had all kinds of issues with him. He was inconsiderate and sent people over to take pictures of the property one day. Another day for someone to climb up the roof and take measurements so he can install solar panels. This all is happening during our stay without being considerate of our privacy and our fathers comfort who needed all the rest he needs after surgery. The host is not equipped to rent his property. He was very condescending and sarcastic with his replies every time we would text him about the house. We understand that these are Vrbo homes and YES the owners live there and want to rent out but to have this type of false advertising is mind blowing!!!
