As you drive across the small causeway approaching the beach you will not believe your good fortune as you are pulling onto the 3.5 acre property. The anticipation will build and as you walk onto the multi-level decks you will instantly fall in love with this Beach House and know entirely why you picked this property …. and you have not even been inside yet...
Our luxuriously-appointed beach house under went a total renovation in 2018. The property features 5 Bedrooms ( including 2 Primary Bedrooms ) and 3.5 bathrooms. The entire interior is clean and bright adorning shiplap cladding and hardwood floors ( vinyl plank on ground level )

What a fantastic spot for a vacation! The beach house was absolutely beautiful and perfectly accommodated our two families for a beach vacation that we will always remember. The beds were very comfortable, the sheets were lovely, and the kitchen was beautifully equipped with everything we needed. There were plenty of well furnished areas to hang out both inside and out, the house was perfectly designed so that we all had our own spaces. We only wish our bathrooms at home were so nice. On top of that it was located in the middle of a sand dune, with miles of white sand beach to ourselves. We had a wonderful stay in this incredible beach house. The multi-level wrap around decks provided lots of space for any activity whether it be dining, relaxing, or taking in the gorgeous sunset and views of the beach and dunes. The incredible beach seemed to go on forever and always had lots of space for the few people that used it. The interior is beautifully decorated with lots of attention to detail making it feel luxurious but comfortable. The house has everything from open communal spaces to cosy nooks providing everyone in a large group with their own space. Stunning inside and out! The Barr family


The Beach House -
Sea Dunes Beach House is a three story; 3000 sq. ft. vacation rental situated in the dunes of the St. Peters Harbour Beach. This unique beach house sleeps 10 in the main house which is fully air-conditioned and the carriage house sleeps 4 also air-conditioned. The beach access is only a short walk to miles of white sand beach. The village of Morell and The Links at Crowbush Golf Course is a 5 minute drive from the house. The capital of Prince Edward Island is Charlottetown and 30 minute drive from the house.

On the first floor you will find a gas fireplace, cozy sofa and chairs to maximize your viewing experience. Just beyond this space you will find a games table with high leather chairs to enjoy a board game, puzzles or a game of cards.

On the second floor is the kitchen that is full of natural light from the large window over the sink, a full glass door to the deck and two 6 ft patio doors in the dining area. The kitchen is a chef's delight with 18 ft. of Quartz countertops plus the island will accommodate multiple chefs in the kitchen at the same time. The beach house had a fully equipped kitchen with high end cookware, fridge, 5 burner gas range, wine fridge, microwave and much more so you can prepare those island cuisine meals. The dining area contains a large harvest table easily seating 8 to 10 and another 6 can be accommodated along the island. There is also a sitting area on the second floor with wood burning fireplace. The third floor offers a living room, bedroom with a king and a 4 piece bathroom.

There are 4 bedrooms in the main beach house. Two bedrooms on the bottom floor one with a queen and other with 2 bunk beds. Second floor primary bedroom of generous size has a king bed, which can be converted to 2 twin XL beds if desired. The third floor offer the second primary bedroom with another king bed, which can also be converted to 2 twin XL beds if desired.

Each of the three floors has a full bathroom. Bottom floor bathroom complete with a tub shower enclosure twin single vanities and a toilet. Second floor is a full bath with a 5 ft walk-in glass shower double vanity. Third floor offers a full bath with a 6 ft. soaker tub, separate shower, double vanity.

The Carriage House - separate from the beach house is the carriage house. Outside the carriage house is an outdoor shower. The lower lever of the carriage house offers a half bath with the remainder an open concept with Ping Pong table, Dart Board, Games Table. You will also find two beach wagons, beach chairs, beach shelters, Balls, Games and sand toys for the kids. This the perfect spot to store your golf clubs, bikes etc.
The upstairs offering a visual divide, each side you will find two single beds, which can be pushed together to make kings. Windows and skylights provide an abundance of light and the heat pump adds A/C in the summer and heating in the shoulder seasons. The carriage house is a perfect get away from the main beach house.

Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks, and take out the trash
Please wash and dry all the beach towels the night before your departure. The morning of your departure if you could please start your bath towels in the wash that would be fantastic.
This head start on the towels is a huge time benefit for our turnover team. Even with 2 washers & dryers it’s always a time challenge to have everything freshly laundered. Thank you in advance 🙂

Beautiful property. Situated perfectly, a 2 minute walk to a spectacular beach - easy access for all of us, even our 2 year old. Lots of beach accessories available - chairs, umbrellas, games, towels. Peter, our host, was readily available for a minor issue which was quickly rectified. He provided lots of local information. We can’t imagine a better house to rent in PEI. Everything was perfect - small walk to the beach, quiet area, large house, beautiful views, house has everything you need (very generous owner). Guest house is a nice add, great memories of playing ping pong during the evening and additional storage (including fridge and freezer). Better than advertised! Everything a family needs to enjoy the kilometers of pristine, undiscovered beach is here. Kitchen is well stocked and bedding was top shelf. Stunning beach house right on the dunes!!

This was the perfect place to stay with a few families traveling with young kids. The beach house was three stories high and suited our three families well. Lots of space for the kids to play inside on rainy days and a short walk to the most incredible beach I have ever seen on PEI! The house was well stocked with everything you would want to take down to the beach including a wagon to pull the younger kids. We wished we had booked more time and are definitely planning to go back!

Birthday Celebration

My siblings and I rented this place for a family vacation to celebrate both our parents turning 60! The house was amazing. It was very clean and well maintained. It had everything we needed. We spent a lot of time on the amazing decks watching bothe the sunrise and sunset. We fell asleep to the sound of waves crashing on the beach. It was so much fun we decided we would try and make it an annual thing. We can’t wait to hopefully be back next year.

Exceptional family vacation!

We had a wonderful stay at this well equipped, beautifully decorated beach house! The beach was beautiful and our weather more like mid summer. We enjoyed traveling around the island and highly recommend the Greenwich Dunes trail and the Sea Shack for lunch! The docks at Charlottetown also a lovely place to have a meal. We played all of the fun games in the house and even managed completion of a jigsaw puzzle. Beds were comfortable, water was hot and the sunsets from the decks will never be forgotten. Peter and Margaret were very responsive to any questions! Thank you for sharing this amazing spot with our family!

Magic!

Our family of 4 (kids ages 9 and 10) stayed at the beautiful Sea Dunes cottage for one week in July 2023. The property is just as beautiful as shown in photos, but the view is even more spectacular! Only a few minutes walk to the best beach in PEI. Everything you could ever need for a perfect beach vacation! Even on the rainy days there were so many cozy spaces to curl up with a book, or let the kids have some screen time. They have truly thought of everything. Excellent communication with Peter. We can’t wait to go back!

Perfection. This is the review you never want to write because you’re afraid it will become so popular that you can’t stay there again. There is not just everything you can think of - there’s even more than that. Towels, TP, soap, shampoo, laundry detergent, tissues, plates, cutlery, napkins, placemats - EVERYTHING and lots of it. Comfy beds and furniture. Everything you need for the beach. The views, the beach, the sunrises and sunsets - heavenly. Great recommendations, communication and information. Living in the Dunes on PEI's North Shore

Wherever you go in those stunning beach house, you can't get away from the fact that you are nestled gently into a breathtaking stretch of PEI's north shore sand dunes. The views from all angles, all rooms, all deck levels is gorgeous and you truly feel part of the landscape. The cottage is executed wonderfully and was fully equipped with everything we could've dreamt of needing on our family vacation, including a cocktail shaker. The kitchen is top notch and allowed for preparation of several family dinners with multiple guests working away at the same time. Despite the openness of the space and the feeling of always being connected to the outside, even while inside, there were enough nooks to settle into to catch some quiet time from the group. Would 100% recommend and hope to return with our crew several times over.

Friends and family by the beach

Great for a reunion of friends and family! We were a group of 8 adults and 3 children (newborn, 2, and 5). The decks on the second and third floors provide a view of the ocean over parts of the dunes. Sound of surf and birds chirping. Toys and games to entertain a 5- and 2-year old. Plenty of hot water and water pressure for all four showers. The outdoor shower by the Carriage House got the most use! 8 different places for a group to gather to visit between the decks and rooms in the main house. All the beds were comfortable except the twins in the Carriage House. These were arranged by request in two groups of two twins together. The beds in the main cottage have mattress toppers. I recommend adding a King sized mattress topper on the two twin beds placed together in order to convert that into one King bed as necessary. The topper should solve the comfort issue.Easy walk to a beautiful beach with few others on it. No need for water shoes. There are multiple sand bars 50-100 feet into the water that even the little children could walk to. The Coop grocery store in Morell is well provisioned and Charlottetown is only a 45 minute drive away if you cannot find a specific item. Peter is very responsive and his “boots on the ground” Neville is also responsive and helpful. We inquired about renting again in 2026 but all the weeks we want are already booked. Many repeat customers which tells us something about the value the property provides. Very highly recommended.

Why they chose this property

We were on a summer holiday in PEI during the summer of 2017, while out on a bike ride we saw a for sale sign. We ventured onto the property to have a look ( there was no one around ) we knew at that very moment that we had to buy this Beach House. When you arrive you will understand why .... It is truly outstanding.
This Property was constructed in 1985 and never finished - this is now a Brand New Everything in a 1985 shell. This location is one of only 3 properties built in the Sand Dunes on many many kms of sugar white sand beach.

What makes this property unique

We have traveled as a family numerous times to Asia, Europe and within North America. On our travels we have often tried to find accommodations that will suit more than one family ( or generation within the same family ). Lessons learned from these adventures have all gone into our Beach House Rental. Two Primary bedrooms, many gathering spots, Large kitchen and Location, Location, Location ....
