Chic apartment in Retiro district

This apartment met all of our expectations. The owner met us upon arrival and introduced all the features of the unit. The apartment was spotless and well furnished with modern pieces. The location was within easy walking distance to two subway stops and Retiro park. For those who enjoy the experience of local living, it was easy to buy fresh products from the local markets and enjoy the many restaurants and tabernas that were only steps away. We will return on our next visit to Madrid.

Second Excellent Stay

We stayed in this apartment for a second time in March 2024. It continues to meet all our expectations. The owner met us upon arrival and reintroduced all the features of the unit. The apartment was spotless and well furnished with modern pieces. The location is within easy walking distance to two subway stops and Retiro park. It is a pleasant half hour walk through the park to the Prado Museum. There are many local restaurants, shops and tabernas in the neighbourhood. It is very quiet for sleeping at night and there is a helpful concierge to control access to the building. We will return on our next visit to Madrid.

Madrid, beautiful, convenient and well located apartment in a real neighborhood

We loved our stay in Madrid with Juan Andres. The apartment was lovely, very secure, and in a great neighborhood. It was very convenient to public transit with one line just 1/2 block away and another that easily connected you to trains and other major sites in Madrid a short 10 minute walk. Beautiful Retiro Park is just across the street and provides a lovely walk to both the Prado and other museums and sights. There was a wonderful coffee shop almost directly below the flat that we frequented each morning for both the superb cafe con leche and the wonderfully warm friendly service. Our host Juan Andres was very responsive to every question and met us promptly at the property and provided an excellent orientation to the apartment and the neighborhood. The apartment is exactly as represented in the photos and was a delight. Very clean and comfortable with great hot water and even a lift in the building. We would stay here again in a heartbeat, and we hope to do just that as Madrid is a wonderful cosmopolitan, safe and easily navigated city. Thank you Juan Andres for a wonderful visit to Madrid!

Perfect location and wonderful host

This apartment is perfectly located - just down the street from the wonderful Retiro Park and surrounded by many markets, shops, and restaurants. The nicely furnished apartment is also very well appointed, with appliances, dishes, cookware, and linens. It is also very secure, with a locked lobby and concierge/security 24/7. We were there in March, before the pool was open, but it certainly looks lovely. The host is kind, generous, and attentive. He made sure we got settled in, with all questions answered, and he was always quick to respond if we had further questions. At one point we had a special need, and he solved our problem immediately. He couldn't have been more thoughtful and kind! I'd recommend this apartment any time, and would love to go back.

Great location and Very Comfortable!

You can't beat this location close to Retiro but still with a local feel. Next door is Coffee Retiro - a neighborhood coffee/tea shop with friendly service. Can't beat the excellent AC in this apartment and the comfy beds. 2 bathrooms and a washer/dryer are always a plus as well. The only thing I missed was either a hot water kettle or a tea infuser as I am a tea drinker. But there were coffee pots for my husband and several groceries nearby. Ibiza Metro stop is half a block away so that was awesome as well. High security building so you need a key to go through 4 doors but the security guard usually lets you through the first 2. Pool is a nice option but it was closed til the day before we left. Too busy to use the gym but nice option as well. We rested well here for our adventures in Madrid and surrounding areas. Highly recommend.

A lovely apartment in a perfect neighborhood for easy access to museums through Retiro Park.

We found groceries, restaurants and shopping within a couple blocks. Best of all were daily walks through Retiro. We got great advice from our hosts, had every amenity we needed, loved Madrid.

Beautiful Apartments with Gym and Pool

Beautiful apartment, clean and comfortable with lovely decor just as it appears in photos. It is well located near Retiro Park and in a very nice neighborhood. The host is extremely gracious and helpful. Also great outdoor pool big enough for laps and refreshing after long day touring. Nice gym as well. We were extremely happy with our stay.

A nice apartment in a good location

I really enjoyed staying at the apartment, the neighborhood is very nice, you feel safe walking around at any time of the day or night. There are some nice restaurants in the area and even nicer ones are only a short walk away. It's close to the Retiro Park and and you can walk to the Prado and other interesting places. The apartment was a good size, although it looked a bit bigger on the pictures. What brought the rating down to 4 stars were little issues, like the power cutting out every time we used the dryer (I was lucky the neighbor was there for once and spoke English), the swimming pool not being open before noon or the gym not being really air-conditioned (working out in the July heat was like working out in a sauna). But, I would be happy to go back and stay at the same apartment again.

Wonderful 2 Bedroom in Salamanca Area

This apartment is located in a great neighborhood with fabulous restaurants, great shopping and only 2 blocks from El Parque de Bien Retiro. The owner is very gracious and easy to work with. The Metro is only 1/2 of a block away. The kitchen is well stocked with everything needed for cooking; the washer & dryer worked great. There is a 24 hour doorman, who was always friendly and helpful. We look forward to returning to Madrid and will absolutely stay in this apartment again!!

Very central and nice apartment

We stayed in beautifull Madrid about a week in October 2015. We - grandparents and grandchild from Denmark - stayed in Juan Andres apartment. Very nice and tastefully furnished, centrally placed, about 100 metres from underground and 200 metres from the entrance to Retiro Park and within walking distance from good museums etc. We felt very welcome and are ready to recommend the Apartment. Then why only 4 stars. A balcony would be highy appreciated by us. Else
