Thimble Cottage tiene capacidad para 6 personas y 2 bebés.
Es una casa de vacaciones muy agradable que ofrece lo mejor de encanto del viejo mundo combinado con las comodidades modernas, que ofrece alojamiento espacioso con carácter y estilo.

Esta casa de campo con techo de paja del siglo 17 de bonita está amueblada con un alto estándar con 2 salas de estar y un montón de asientos confortables.

Es nuestra casa de vacaciones de la familia y como utilizamos regularmente la casa de campo con nuestros 3 niños pequeños que tienen un montón de cosas que los niños pequeños requieren, incluyendo juguetes que reduce lo que tiene que traer. También tenemos una cocina bien equipada para cocinar en la casa es fácil y también tenemos que necesite un grano a la máquina de la taza de café. Hay una mesa de comedor con capacidad para seis y dos sillas altas.

El jardín es grande y completamente cerrado con dos zonas de estar y una barbacoa de gas.

Ubicado al norte de Lyndhurst que están a sólo 5 minutos en coche de Paultons Park, la casa de Peppa Pig mundo y una unidad de 25 min (en el momento adecuado del día) de la playa de Mudeford. Obviamente también hay todas las actividades de la propia Bosque incluyendo paseos, carriles bici y pubs.

We loved our time at this charming home! From the fairy tale garden to the comfortable spaces, it is everything us Americans imagine for a typical English countryside home. Malcolm and Tina were wonderful hosts, they went above and beyond when we encountered a minor medical problem, and we enjoyed visiting with them and hearing their experiences of a lifetime in the area. We enjoyed our visit so much, we are already planning a return!

Lovely unique property, nicely decorated and presented. Clean with comfortable beds and pristine bedding. A few wonky bits, areas in need of paint and chips in walls etc due to everyday living.Pretty, secluded garden, in slight need of trimming, pruning and cutting back when we were there, but very pleasant and private with a view of the fields at the back. A few near misses to the head with apples falling from trees whilst we were sitting outside - but all part of the charm!!We had an evening of laughs playing board games left in the cupboard.We were out most of the time, but if the weather had been bad we could have easily stayed in - especially with a separate living room and another lounging area off the kitchen and dining room. If you're tall you will have to mind your head in the older part of the house as you'd expect in a building so old - and the creaky floors upstairs front.Very good quality fittings and kitchen appliances.Modern bathroom and downstairs toilet. There is also a shower in the utility room which we didn't use.In an attractive, good location, in an area with plenty to do. We visited Highcliffe Castle, with is own beach and took the little ferry to and from Hurst Fort out on the headland. Good communication with the host and the next-door key code holder.

Check in was easy. Kitchen was ok. The house smelt musty especially in the wardrobes in the front bedroom so had to leave the doors open. Beds were comfortable.

Not up to expectation

Did not match photographs on booking site. Property looked tired from the outside. Description of second bathroom downstairs misleading when in fact is shower plus basin in utility room and second toilet is in cupboard in lounge. Wardrobes in front bedroom smelt musty. Cleaning not to a great standard. Many cobwebs for example throughout property. Garden needs maintenance although could be very nice with a little more tlc. Some kitchen utensils need proper cleaning Finally we had a maintenance man turn up unannounced and not requested to fix a tap. Although he was very nice and efficient if he had turned up whilst my wife was alone as she was on one afternoon this could have been intimidating. On the plus side, heating and hot water always available Bedding and beds excellent Overall I feel that the property is vastly overpriced for what it is and feel more attention needs to be paid to its overall presentation

Lovely New Forest Stat

My friends and I had a wonderful stay here. Beautiful garden, clean and comfortable interior, great spaces for socializing and cooking. Well equipped! Ample parking. Great position for exploring. Would love to come back again with my children as it has everything you need for little ones too. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Lovely, cosy home.

I stayed with my friend, her daughter and my two children for three nights. Right from the moment we arrived we were all delighted with this old thatched cottage with its low beams and barn-like door! The extension at the back makes it open and airy and the garden is simply beautiful. The kitchen is well-equipped and the extra shower and separate toilet are great if you're a bigger group. The shower pressure is strong and the beds are comfy. And there's a pub within walking distance. We loved our stay here in the heart of the New Forest, thank you!

Perfect for Paultons park visit

We had a lovely time. We were staying to visit Paultons park and it was a 7 minute drive away. The cottage is spacious and well equipped. Beds were comfortable. Would book again

Period cottage easily accessible for long distance travellers

The cottage lives up to its period look with various features such as low beamed ceilings and a quirky layout. The modern kitchen with conservatory and family area was lovely and bright, and the garden a delight to sit in for our morning coffee. One main bathroom & a utility room containing a shower room was fine, but the 2nd toilet was as far from the bedrooms as it could possibly be, tucked away downstairs accessible via a storeroom. We are 5 female friends in our 50s and thoroughly enjoyed our stay with cosy evenings at home accompanied by hearty homemade food and a glass or 3 of good wine.

Pre-Christmas break

This property was perfect for a short getaway. There was plenty of space for us (5 adults and one baby) and we loved the cosy living room. The house was really clean and had everything we needed, and was a great location for nearby Lyndhurst and Brockenhurst. Everything about the stay was very straightforward - we would definitely use again.

Beautiful cottage in great location.

My husband and I booked the cottage for a three night stay with our daughter, her husband and young boys. It was the perfect property in a great location. Lots to do in the surrounding area.

Lovely Cottage just off the New Forest.

This was a great find. We had 4 adults and two young children. The cottage was large and had more than enough of inside and outside space. Everything needed for a great holiday.

Fabulous cottage, close to everything!

We loved this house. Perfect if you have children. Games, garden, highchairs, cots, potty, bed guards, toys... all available. The house is comfortable and well maintained with everything you need. The garden is great with some nice seating areas snd space for a mini game of football. The house is a short drive to new forest walks and lots of other attractions / days out. Oh, and there is a great playground less than 5 mins walk away. Cant recommended enough. Hope to come back.

Idyllische cottage uit 1700. Hoop spullen in de keuken en ook flink wat apparatuur in de zitkamer inclusief Netflix en Amazon Prime. Achterkamer lekker laag om te lezen. In de omgeving prachtige wandelroutes en diverse leuke eettentjes.

Perfect for Poulton park

Lovely stay. Short distance from Poulton park/peppa pig world. Super comfy beds and sheets very fresh. Possibly the softest towels I’ve experienced. There was a bit of a smoky smell from the downstairs shower room on arrival but other than that no problems. Everything you need for staying with babies and toddlers.l they have thought of everything from childrens cuttlery to toys/books.

Family friendly

The property has a great period character and is well maintained, the kitchen is fully equipped as well the bedrooms. There’s everything you’ll need if you have a baby or toddler which makes the property ideal for family with children.

weekend family stay

Characterful house with layout that worked well for two adult couples (grandparents and parents) and two young children and our dog. Most of the floor area is in a rear extension to the small original old thatched cottage. Beds and bedding (particularly in front bedroom in old part) more travelodge and basic than the quality expected of a property costing this much. Cleaning was hit and miss - mostly ok, but found dirty nappies left in bathroom bin and the cooker grill was full of fat and smoked badly when first used. Overall ok, but not up to the standard needed for the high price charged for this weekend.

We see the cottage as our second home which we share with the guests who book to stay. We orignally bought it pre children so we could escape London at the weekends and enjoy the outdoors. We now have a 6 year old and 4 year old twins who also love the cottage and The Forest. This means the cottage is very suitable for families with children but also for grown ups.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

We love the fact that the cottage has the character of an old thatched cottage with a light modern extension at the back. This means we have a cosy front room which we use in winter and the evenings, but a light living room next to the kitchen and the garden for summer and the day time.

We also love the garden and have changed it a lot since buying the cottage, adding fruit trees, roses and a raised decking area at the back to make the most of the views across the fields.
