BEWARE OF THIS RENTER! This renter lied about how many people they were having over, that they had animals and were smoking all over our non-smoking property. There were even times when someone walked inside the house with a lit cigarette. This was all observed via the outdoor surveillance. I called the renter to politely address the number of occupants in the home and the animals that were not disclosed; therefore avoiding the pet fee. Her response was rude and she responded stating there was pet hair on the floor. I have professional cleaners come in the morning of every booking and she had at least 2 dogs. It’s clear any dog hair would belong to her dogs. After my call with her she mocked me by having people go outside and wave at the cameras; as to put on some sort of show. Her booking was for 7 adults, 0 children, and 0 pets. She had at least 35 people in the home, many children and the dogs. The people ranged in age. We have strict rules against parties or large events. This home is meant to enjoy the mountain and lake life, enjoy the incredible views, and relax. I should have seen the red flags, including being a new traveler and her lack of communication. I will never host this group again and, frankly, I am weary of using this platform to rent my home out in the future. All of the issues experienced with this renter have been reported to HomeAway. I’ve never had a bad review, nor have I ever left a bad review.
